Anthony placed his hand on the tree and watched her intently as she spoke. Her voice seemed so unsure of everything still, even though she had talked about what was bothering her. He didn't understand. Usually talking about things helped, but it just seemed to stick with this young girl. He questionably put his hand to his chin and took in all she said. "Good things come to those who wait... That's all I got to say. I know that's very cliche'd but who ever came up with that saying is a very smart person. I couldn't have said anything better myself." He recited perfectly as if he read it out of a book. "I dont think you sound desperate, only wanted. It's not a bad thing to be wanted you know. I've lived with that feeling for five years when I was a kid. Needed to be wanted. Finally I got what I so desired. A family, someone to be with. Hopefully that will come to you as well." Moving from the tree again, she began to talk again and then she started to correct herself. He couldn't help but smile a little bit. 'Talk to the earth? I do talk to the earth, but it don't talk back to me... He held his hand up to go after her and watched as she didn't get that far away from him and tried to hide herself from him after almost hitting a tree. He put his hand up to his mouth to mentally guide her with out hitting anything and followed her. Seeing her sit down, he peered around the tree at her. 'She's counting? Did I do something wrong to upset her? He was bewildered with her reactions, questioning his own actions. "You know, I don't consider you anything less than a friend right now. Please, stop saying that about yourself. If you talking about almost hitting that tree, it's nothing to be embarrassed about, you should have seen me when I first got my powers. I was tripping over uprooted trees by mistake. Landing in dirtpiles that I somehow summoned and I have even thrown a rock at myself once or twice. Okay, maybe three..." He said laughing trying to make her feel like there was nothing wrong. He wasn't really sure what he could do to get her to laugh. So far she had yet to laugh at him, so he wasn't a sucess yet. He sat down infront of her and just stared at her. If anything he could do, a staring contest would probably work.

Alicia just covered her face when she knew that he was walking over to her. Okay, maybe if I close my eyes and count to three, he will be gone..One..Two..Three!! Alicia peered between her fingers and found that not only was he not gone, but he was walking over to her! Oh God, oh God... She pulled her feet up to her and placed her hands, still over her face, on her knees. She shook her head back and forth. "Please no.." She whispered to herself as she saw him stand right next to her. He started out by saying not to be embarrassed about almost hitting the tree, and Alicia groaned and blushed an even deeper shade of red. "Seen that did you?" She asked sarcastically as she slapped her head back down into her hands. When he said something about throwing rocks at himself, she stifled a laugh. When he said,"Okay, maybe three." She couldnt stop the fit of giggles, but quickly snuffed them out by holding her breath. She heard a sound in front of her and an automatic reaction made her look up sharply. She saw that he was sitting down in front of her, staring at her intently. He wasnt even blinking. "What are you doing?" She asked him incrediously as she saw that he was trying to have a staring contest with her. "Have you lost your mind?" She asked as she giggled at his attempt to make her feel better. "Okay, two people can play at this game. " She said as she moved her legs to sit indian style and placed her hands on her knees. "I use to play this game all the time.." She stared at him, and curse her wandering mind. Even as she was playing the game with him, all she could think about was how beautiful his eyes were. She slightly shook herself to get thinking clearly. She tried to stare into his eyes like he was doing but her eyes were exploring his facial features. She blinked slowly. "Darn it!" She snapped her fingers, and sat back laughing. She sighed and gave Anthony a slow smile. "So what do you want?" She asked curiously. "You could have let me leave.." She looked back to the path that she had missed, sadly, by about three feet. "Man my sense of direction is horrible isnt it?" She asked mostly herself as she looked up to the top branches of the tree that she was sitting in front of. " I am glad I missed the tree.." She thoughtfully rubbed her head, thinking of how it would have hurt. "That would have been painful." She said voicing her thoughts.

"Dont' get me wrong, but I'd have to be blind in order not to see that." He said referring to the close call with the tree. He finally thought that he would win when she actually challenged him back to the staring contest and he was indeedly amused that she actually took him up on it after almost running away from him. He watched as her eye's started to shift a little bit. 'Is she looking elsewhere?' He thought at the moment of the contest, but kept very still. In nature, being calm and still is an art. Something you learn. If you aren't patient, you would miss alot in it. Even the wind if you weren't paying attention. "Well, I guess that's check mate on that one, miss. If we must, we could definatly have a rematch." He told her but mistakingly used the wrong vocabulary on the win. He didn't care. He had actually made his goal for the day to work and she had actually laughed at his attempts. He was pleased and felt wonderful about it. 'There's something about her, but I can't place my finger on it. She's not like other girls... No, definatly not. She's so unsure of herself, but in a way, that makes her interesting. He tilted his head down suddenly to get rid of the thoughts. He'd just met her and what was he doing? Wanting to flirt. Not possible. "Now, if I had let you go, and just who do you think I would I talk to? The earth?" He shook his head and laughed remembering her comment towards him on that. He managed to control his laughter and bit his lower lip. "Your direction isn't that bad, but you know the campers tells, moss grows on the north side of tree and the school is due west. So, it's easily found!" He explained to her. Moving around yet again, with a short attention span to sit, he moved behind the tree and found a patch of yellow daisy's. He bent down and put his hand around the smallest one and instantly it began to grow to a good height. Picking it, he moved back around the tree handing her the yellow flower with a smile. "I enjoyed to see you laugh. It was very sweet."

Alicia watched him bite his lower lip, and stared just a little bit too long. She blushed again and looked down. She saw him get up, but didnt want him to leave. She almost said something that she was sure she would regret..Something like 'Dont go..' But she stopped herself just in time. She was startled when he showed back up with a bright yellow daisy. She looked at him then back down to the flower, and back to him. "Very sweet indeed.." She whispered. She took the flower slowly and swirled it round and round, watching the light flash off of the bright petals. She seemed fascinated by the flower, not the flower itself, really, but the fact that he had given it to her. "Thank you. I love flowers.." She said, slowly and in wonder and awe at the fact that only he had ever given her a flower. She had always stopped to admire them, but could never bring herself to pick them. The significance was just not the same. She almost cried at his thoughtfulness. She looked back to him. "You have been out in nature way too much!" She said playfully. She smiled and turned the flower around. She tucked it in her hair behind her ear. She laughed but kept it there. She looked up at Anthony and grinned. "How does it look?"

"Very beauti... It's looks really nice. It's your color you know?" He said catching himself. He wasn't too good at compliments and found it hard to converse with someone he found so beautiful, even though she had seem so upset at first, and now it seemed as if all her worries had disappeared. It was really impressive the way she daintally put it in her hair behind her ear and make something that was pretty and made it beautiful. "What can I say, nature is my life after all, well my power, which is my life... Ahh, there goes some rambling." He paused for a moment and regained his voice. "I'm sorry. I've never really been able to have a real conversation before with someone, so I wasn't really expecting to ramble like that. I guess you've made me feel comfortable." He scratched the back of his head. He was indeedly getting more comfortable and not being so formal around her rather than when they first met. He wondered what she was thinking about the flower but refused to ask again. "So, What is it that you like to do? Anything interesting? Hobbies?" He turned around and laid on the earth again, letting his hand raise a small portion of ground for his head to be propped on. "There, that's better..." He Stiffled a small chuckle and put one of his hands across his face.

"Hobbies? Well, lets see." Alicia leaned forward slightly and was figeting with a ribbon on her sleeve. "I like to read. I actually bird watch." She laughed slightly. "I like to write sometimes. And I love word games. And you dont want to get me started on rambling!" She said with a giggle. "Sometimes it seems like I cant shut up! Even when I am by myself.." She let that last part trail off as she remembered why she had come out there in the first place. She almost let it get to her again, but as she watched Anthony, she couldnt let herself get sad again. She leaned back and rested her head against the tree, and watched him with slitted eyes. She contemplated the afternoon that she was having, not knowing how all of this came to be. Alicia couldnt help but ask. "So other than being out here, with all of this beautiful nature...What do you do in your spare time?"

"Reading? THat's interesting. That could probably be the least thing on my mind. I have too much of a short attention span for that!" He said trying to think about the last time he even tried to read a book? Non-existant! He shrugged his shoulders and continued to look up at the tops of the trees, cracks of the sky were peering through. "As much as I'm into nature, birds are very interesting, but I can never tell them apart. I dont' know a mikcal from a blue jay! Don't get me wrong, I love to watch them though. Amazing creatures they are." He took a deep breath and closed his eyes imagining the life of a bird. The places to see, the flightful fansies. Truely remarkable. "THis is my spare time. When ever I dont' have to be at school, I'm always out here... but It wouldn't hurt if I found something else to do for a while!" He told her and leaned to his side toward her and let his head be propped on on his palm. "I do, hope that I'm not boring you?"

Alicia grinned at him. "Wouldnt hurt to find something else to do? Hmm.." She thoughtfully rubbed her chin. "Lets see, well there is a lake to swim at..There is a cafeteria, that serves great lunch! There is a HUGE library! When you walk in, there are rows upon rows of books. Shelves and shelves of fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, reality. Books full of imagination and wonder, devastation and horror." She closed her eyes and imagined the library in her head, and remembered the books that she had checked out to read. She continued to talk, not knowing that she was rambling on, but she couldnt help but describe the beauty of the library that she had been to just recently. She just knew that she could spend hours in there. She sighed and opened her eyes. "There is no way that you couldnt find something[/b] to do! There is a mall right on the outskirts of Cassis. You could go there.Even if all you did was look, there are a lot of beautiful things at the mall." Alicia watched for his reaction. She would hate to think if he thought any of the ideas she was spouting off were stupid. Just at that moment, she heard her stomach growl. She placed a hand on her stomach and blushed slightly. "Speaking of food..." She looked up at Anthony. "Want to get something to eat? I'll pay!" At that she jumped up and started heading to the path. She looked back over her shoulder. "You coming?"

Anthony stared at her with her rambling words about the library. No offense to her, but he wasn't much of a book smart person and would rather spend his time doing other things more productive. "Well, Alicia... I will have to say that the lake sounds pretty inviting. I would love to swim... but I'm not to sure on the Library. Sorry, but I really don't make time to read, but I'm sure if we go, I could find an interesting nature book or something better to look a..." He stopped himself, not realizing he made himself blush. Even if he didn't spend the time reading the books, he'd be interested in watching her read. "Well, I think I'll take you up on that offer..." He said and got up dusting his butt off and his shirt. "Well, LEad the way, Miss guide." He smiled as he walked behind her to catch up to her. "So, where are we going to go and eat at?"

Alicia watched him blush, and blushed herself when he said he couldnt make time to read. "Well I usually have a lot of spare time on my hands.." She saw him walking up to her and almost sighed with relief. What? Did you think that he would say no?....Honestly..yes I did..She argued with herself yet again. She always wondered why she did it so often, but then she realized that her duplicates lived inside her head too. It wasnt her arguing mainly with herself, for some of her duplicates did have their own opinions and often voiced them inside of her head. She was just lucky that so far she hadnt answered them out loud yet. People thought that she was weird enough as it was..She turned back around when she belately realized that he was asking her where they were going to eat. "Well, there are two choices. We could go to the school cafeteria, or we could go to the food court at the mall. I would personally choose the mall. I love chinese!" She made poking gestures with her right hand. "Though, I have yet to fully master chopsticks.." She looked up at Anthony and her hand stopped mid-poke. "Heh.." She laughed nervously as she dropped her hand and hid them behind her back. She grasped her hands together and wrung them nervously. "But thats just me.. What do you want to do? The great thing about the food court is, if you dont like chinese..you can go right next to it and get a hamburger!" She grinned at him as she headed down the trail. There was a split that led to the school, or to the city. "Which way?" She swept her arms in seperate directions, indicating the split in the trail. " Left or Right?"

Anthony could only laugh at her with her impressions of using the chopsticks and then tell him that she couldn't use them very well. Some chopsticks were made out of wood and since he could control it, he never really had a problem controling them. He smiled at that thought. He could help her out, if she wanted him too. Turning his attention back to her, he caught up to her and moved his hands out to stretch yet again. "Well, The mall sounds pretty good and It's been forever since I've had chinese food. I think the last time I went, I fell in love with the orange chicken!" He told her and he had almost forgotten about being hungry at all, considering he was more preoccupied. "I'll let you decide. SChool food or take out?" He quickly sat down on the ground and raised the ground up to her eye level. He took his feet and crossed them and put his hands on his legs. "Must we meditate it first, or just be spontanious?" Shrugging his shoulders he closed his eye's until he heard a direct decicion from her. He felt the wind as he sat there and could tell that the weather was starting to become damp, meaning the sign of rain was coming.

Alicia just laughed at him, and had to jump back slightly to get out of the way of the hill he had just made. She could only agree with him about the orange chicken. "Take out it is then!" She replied with a smile. "Spontaneous is my middle name!" When she said that, she pushed him slightly to see if she could make the ever-smooth Anthony fall flat on his butt. She giggled and ran down the trail to the mall, looking back to see if he had fallen. Oh, my I have never had so much fun!....I hope I dont ruin it somehow. I almost always do.. She faltered and didnt notice the hole in the path. "Ouch!" She yelped and grabbed at her ankle "Clumsy...now that smarts!" She said as tears of pain welled up in her eyes. Now I knew I would ruin it somehow..but not so soon! She thought sadly as she looked back in the direction she had run from. "I cant let him see me like this!" She said quietly. She let go of her ankle and stood up slowly. She tried to put pressure on it, and yelped again in pain. "Oh..no.." She watched the path warily, wondering where he had gone.

Anthony was relieved to hear that she wanted the chinese too. He smiled and was about to get up when she playfully pushed him, and with his eye's closed he wasn't expecting it. Without his balance he fell backwards rolling off his seat, dirt and dust flew up when he landed and he shook his head laughing. "Hey, that's not fair." He said and got up dusting himself off before he looked for which way she went. 'Silly girl, she actually caught me off guard. I'm NEVER caught off guard. Maybe she's special?' He thought to himself and when he had finished dusting himself off he took a step in her direction. Suddenly, he heard her yelp out in pain and the only thing he felt was a cold chill run down his back. He instantly took off in a sprint down the path and saw her messing with her ankle and trying to stand on it again, only resulting in another painful holler. "ALICIA?" He called out to her reaching her side, instantly putting his arm around her to stable her. He looked down at her feet and noticed her ability not to put it down, "Y...you okay? What happened?" He looked at her desperatly and looked around for a place for her to sit. Only coming to the conclusion to make one. He placed his hand over the ground underneath her and raised it up to her level and when he finished he tried to coax her to sit down to rest.

Alicia grimaced when he noticed that she had hurt herself. She noticed that he had made a seat for her and was coaxing her down on it. She saw that he was worried and almost smiled, but a sharp jolt of pain stopped her from finishing the smile. She sat down on the seat carefully. She lifted up her leg and swung it, to rest in on her knee. She took off her shoe and saw that the ankle still looked okay, but was slightly swollen. "It'll be okay..I think..I hope.." She explained quietly. She slowly put her shoe back on. She looked down and realized that his arm was around her waist. She looked back up and coughed to get his attention. She tried to stand back up. "Now I know this is bad, but that doesnt get you out of chinese!" She said playfully as she applied pressure to her ankle. "See its all better now!"

Anthony never took his eye's off her and could tell, that inside she was actually hurting. He helped her sit down, not realizing that he was probably helping to much and quickly backed away for comfort reasons. He watched as she looked at her ankle. It was starting to swell just slightly, but her attitude made it seem like it was nothing. "Well, beleive me... Even if I have to carry you, you offered to buy my lunch and this won't get you out of it, but afterwards, if you feel like it... a cup of hot apple cider is on me!" He told her and watched her get up. He was still doughtful about her walking on her own and without her to diss him, he put his hand on her shoulder and looked at her with a frown. "Need help? I don't want that swelling anymore than it already is..." He took a step away from her and watched for any sign of pain from her. If she fought, he was going to help her.
