The water was exceptionally calm as Amberly made her way to it's stillness. Her eye's overlooked the sand that surrounded it and mentally smiled. It was quiet. Something that she felt like she needed. It had been a while since she had been at the lake and took in the smell like it was a breath of well needed fresh air. She took her shoes off and let her feet soak in the cool water and she folded her arms up in front of her. Moving out of the water, she sat down on the beach and brought her legs up, resting her chin on them. "Beautiful day..."

Caynce slowly edged towards the beach, evidently tentative of his actions as he didn't want to leave the protection of the trees and bushes that had been keeping him hidden for the past two hours. Yes, two hours. He was supposed to have been doing some work he had naturally put off before, but had, not surprisingly, allowed his mind to drift off into his lovely little DayDreaming Land, which had wiped his memory clean of any sense of responsiblity or danger that came from being out here by himself. Now no longer hidden from the merciless sun, which he swore it was about a foot from his head, his eyes narrowed to block out the light and he let out a tiny groan from pain. What the hell was this?
The son was just so achingly hot, how did people live with this kind of weather. His eyes squinting to the point where they were almost closed and blocking his vision, he slowly inched towards the sparkling blue water, as though it offered relief from the heat. He knew it didn't, it was just water and the sun was reflecting light off it's surface, which didn't help. But Caynce was determined to get the water, get a little wet, and then get back to the shade. Now by the edge of the lake, he reached down and put his hand into the cool liquid, enjoying the feeling of something nice and cold against his incredibly pale skin before jumping away and darting back into the cover of the trees and bushes.
His gray orbs snapped open and immeidatly adjusted to the fact there was less light. He grabbed his backpack and set it against the trunk of a tree, and Caynce stared out at the water, eyes was again squinting.

Normally when it was a sunny day, Naka would be swimming for long periods of time. She had strong arms and legs and knew how to hold her breath for a long time. Yet today was a relax day. She didn't need training or work, just time alone. The sound of the waves as they lapped up the shore and ran away was facinating to her. Water was her favorite place to be. As long as it was nice out. And it was nice out! So she dove into the water with complete happiness. Her white bikini shimmering in the water.

Amberly moved her head around hearing other footsteps and her eye's questioned them momentarily before replacing her head on her legs. She sighed and noticed the still water was interrupted with one of the new people diving into the water. Bits of dropletts sprayed around her form as Amberly moved her gaze to the guy who came onto the beach. She looked him up and down. "Hello... so, what brings you down here?" She asked in complete curiosity. Her red hair was in a low ponytail inwhich she not was holding onto and started to braid it, keeping her mind preoccupied.

Caynce blinked, hearing a new, questioning voice sound beside him. Quickly he looked in that direction, seeing a redheaded girl speaking to him. Once again he blinked, examining her face with gray eyes before looking away, as though he weren't interested in making any contact with her. In truth, he was actually just thinking about what to say. Fixing his eyes onto the water, though they were halfway closed because of the ridiculously large amount of light, he felt the sun burning his skin, and wanted to whimper like a child in pain.
"No r-reason..." Caynce replied unsteadily, halfway lying. He had come here for quiet so he could finish his work, but here he was, sitting on the beach, the bonus point target for the sun, talking to a girl he didn't know but decided seemed a bit friendly. But, on the other hand, he couldn't say he expected to get any work done, since he was aware of the fact his mind easily wandered away on it's own. It was surprising he was even here in school, yet he always got the work done, one way or another, even if it took forever.
His hand reached out to touch the water, and the current brushed against his fingertips before receding back into the sea. He took his hand back and put it on his lap, tying it with the other one and staring down, avoiding eye contact incase he should say something stupid.

Naka surfaced, coming to realize she was far out. The shore was about 2 football fields away. She blinked, her blue eyes crisp and lively then she dove under again. Her legs kicking effortlessly to get to the shore again. Minutes later she surfaced again and walked out of the water, her slim body dripping with water. Her blue eyes noticed the people and she groaned. She hadn't even seen them. Though she hadn't even looked around before she dove in, they could have been here all along. Yet she just looked over at them and smiled. Then she walked over to her white towl that layed on the ground and layed down on it. The sun's rays drying off the water. Her white hair was plastered to her neck.

Amberly shrugged her shoulders when he looked away. Seems like he don't want to talk. Shame... Well, I guess I can't expect everyone to be nice and talk, then again, I'm not really in the mood either. Seems like people around here are just acting like ghosts. Just going from one place to another and so on... She sighed as she looked back at Caynce. He seemed almost scared to say anything. Maybe he was shy? "Well... It's nice out here today at least... My names Amberly. Nice to meet you!" She said as she finally realized that maybe he wanted to be alone. She got up from where she sat and started to walk back to the water after picking her shoes up. She let the water reach her ankles as she kicked at it a few times. It would be good to go swimming, but forgot her suit. She looked back momentarily at the girl who was sunbathing. Well, she isn't too friendly, O'well. Seems like that with everyone today.

Caynce just nodded in reply, looking away again as she got up and went somewhere else. He listened as much as he could, wanting to hear her footsteps in the sand as she went farther and farther from him, but remembered it wouldn't make too much sound because of the sand, and that it was too noisy to hear anything. The sound of the water coming forward and ebbing away was too loud, and then there were birds crowing into the air, only making it noiser. Caynce had thought too much of this location for work, trying to get anything done here just wouldn't work out as well as he had wished.
When he was sure the girl had gone, he looked up and allowed himself to, well, explore, in a way. He let his gaze wander from here to there like his mind, though he only saw two people. A sunbathing girl and Amberly, which meant only three people were here, including him. Caynce gingerly got up, rubbing his bandage covered wrist and hissing slightly at his burning skin. It was just so painful, he wished he could drain the color out of the sun. The boy hastily made his way back over the the shade of the trees and gave a tiny sigh of relief, happy for the fact he wasn't being fried alive.
With that done, he watched Amberly and the sunbathing girl, which wasn't unsual for him. He normally just sat around and watched people, though he tried not to make it seem so obvious. People sometimes got frightened at the fact they were being watched, and he couldn't blame them.

Naka's blue eyes closed for a moment then opened. She had sensed the girl's leaving and the boy's movement. It wasn't that hard. All you had to do was drain all the other sounds out and focus. Yet it was too quiet. When it was quiet, it wasn't safe. That ment either you were being watched or that nothing was happening. Though instantly she sensed the boy's gaze. Her blue eyes traveled over to the boy and she just smerked lightly. Then she looked over at the girl walking away and yawned. Then she stood up and walked over to the boy. He seemed shy, atleast he did towards the girl. She knew she could break his mute attitude. So she walked towards him and sat down next to him under the tree. But she didn't say anything.

He watched as the sunbathing girl looked at him, then at Amberly, and made up her mind to do something. Caynce looked away, staring at the grains of sand and actually counting them in his head, though his mind wasn't all there at the moment when he was doing so. He was, at the same time, thinking about how a majority of the people in the Library were males, but how alot of people in the Cafe were girls. Caynce began to wonder why that was so, and why there wasn't an equal amount of each gender in each of the places.
Hearing someone sit down next to him, he looked out of the corner of his eye to see the sunbathing girl, as he had already begun to call her, and turned his attention back to the sand grains. The boy started over again, but never got past ten when he thought back to make sure she hadn't said anything to him. When someone came to Caynce, they usually greeted him or asked him a question, depending on their disposition. She was saying nothing.
Feeling almost uncomfortable with the silence, he tried to contunue counting, but then had to make sure the girl hadn't said a word. It was unusual, and a little frustrating. He didn't want to ignore her greeting by accident, but because he couldn't focus on one thing for so long, he knew he needed to pay attention to make sure it didn't happen. Caynce blinked once and then slowly edged towards the tree, thinking maybe she was trying to hurt him and that was the reason for her being so quiet.

Naka looked over at him and sighed. Her crist blue eyes just looking out at the water as it crashed onto the shore and retreated back to the ocean. God what a life, just to float around all the time, never worry about things. Then her gaze moved back to the boy. "Your quite the odd one aren't you?" Her voice was deep yet soft, ancient yet young. Her white hair was neatly at her tanned shoulders.

Caynce blinked, and looked over to her, not realizing what he had done before he had examined her completely, taking in her facial features and such so that he'd never forget how she looked like. But he didn't know why he did that. Rubbing his eyes and looking away hastily, he jumped slightly when she spoke to him, secretly happy for the fact she had said something to break the silence.
Hearing her speak, he just nodded in return, already having a bad feeling about her. His relationships with bullies usually started out by making weird or rude comments about him, though this one was definetly more weird than rude. They usually said something about his skin color or accused him of being a vampire in disguise to make him feel worse about himself than he already did. It usually worked, to be honest.
And so, he simply agreed with what she said, unable to find anything abut him to prove her wrong anyway.

She smiled and said,"I'm sorry if I insulted you but you don't seem to have a way with words. When you were talking to that other girl you had a hard time picking out words. But don't worry, I'm normally the quiet one. You just seemed tense, that's all." Then she smiled brightly again and layed back against the tree.

Caynce stared at her as though she had four heads, though he was doing so out of a tiny habit. When someone spoke, he sometimes looked at their faces while they did so, for no particular reason at all. It didn't even change anything, everything remained the same, because after they stopped talking, he would take a long, noticeable pause to think about something that never seemed to pertain to the subject and then give a short answer, which is what he was about to do.
"T-tense? How so?" he asked, almost nervously. He mentally forgave her for making the comment, thinking maybe she was different than he had thought, and he was happy for that. He had met alot of girls so far, and had been expecting them to become a new enemy that he just didn't need, but thankfully was proven wrong the whole time as they didn't turn out to be another rival. As to what she said about picking out words, he couldn't disagree. As much thinking and daydreaming and reading as he did, he always had a hard time speaking, no matter what the circumstances.

She smiled as she looked back at him and said,"The way you talk. You act scared or nervious around me. I'm not a threat, unless you want me to be. You just pick your words out so that you don't have to say much, yet your very to the point." Then she chuckled and said,"I'm not."
