"Oh..." he murmured, and though it was meant for him to hear, it was loud enough for her to hear, but he didn't mean it to. The 'Oh' was one of realization, because she made sense. He hardly ever said anything, and when he did, he tried to make it short and sweet, though it hit you in a way that made you feel he had said a mouthful. Nodding, he bit his lip and reached down into the sand, grabbing a handful and letting it slip through his fingers. He enjoyed the feeling of the tiny grains, thousands of grains, rushing between his thin fingers.
"T-thank you...?" he asked it more than just said it, not knowing if it was a comment or not, or if she was just stating a simple fact. But he decided to be sure and thank her anyway, even if it was blatantly obvious he wasn't sure if he was saying the right thing or not. He began to wonder what her name was, remembering she hadn't told him, and that he couldn't go on calling her 'sunbathing girl', because it would only make sense at certain times, like when she was sunbathing.
But he didn't ask.

"Your Welcome,"She said softly then crossed her legs. She looked down at the sand and said,"You don't get outside much do you?" Her tone curious yet still soft. She didn't want to make this kid scared of her.

Caynce nodded. "The sun hurts." he said in a dry voice, picking up yet another handful of sand and letting it flow through his fingers again, enjoying the feeling of millions on tiny grains slipping through again and again. Ceasing the action, he gingerly cleared his hands on any sand and looked out towards the sparkling water, shutting his eyes halfway again, mentally scolding himself for not remembering that the sun reflected off the surface and therefore blinded him.
Looking away from the ocean and closing his burning eyes, he slowly let them open, adjusting to the shade, though it didn't take long before he was fine and drawing pictures in the sand. They made no sense, just little circles and such until he erased it and started over again, listening to what the sunbathing girl had to say.

"Why does the sun hurt?"She asked and picked up a handful of sand. It was warm yet dry. The shade was keeping most of the sun away. But she didn't like the shade. She loved the sun, it was was her closest friend and she liked it that way. Then she dropped the handful and sighed.

"My skin..." was all he said before he lifted up his jacket sleeve. His wrists, both of them, were bandages, and then rest of his skin was sickeningly pale. Just a little bit of sun could burn the poor child alive, and he knew it. That's why he tried to stay indoors as much as he could, and as much as being a human being would allow him to. Because he had to go out to eat and go to school, he couldn't stay all by himself in his dorm room.

Naka looked at his pale skin and sighed. He was allergic to the sun. Poor thing. She knew how he felt slightly. "I know how you feel kinda. To know pain and hurt." Then she turned so he could see her back. It was covered in whip marks.

He stared at the marks on her back, not knowing what they were at first. Then his brain registered they were whip marks, and he remembered whip marks meant she got whipped, whch equalized pain. In a second it all made sense and his eyes widended as he pulled down his sleeve and watched the marks before nodding, even though she probably couldn't see, and spoke, "That's horrible."

Naka didn't even glance at her back, not wanting to relive what they ment to her. It hurt to think about it. But he had showed her something so she thought she should show something to him. Then she said,"I suppose we all have out secrets."
