Even pulled a piece of paper out of his side-carrier and held it out to Valentine. As soon as it touched Valentine's skin, it plastered itself to him, and try as he might, Valentine couldn't get it back off. "That paper will do it's best not to let you hurt yourself, but in the case that you do, it'll tell me right away. And, I'm not sure yet that I'm gay, but the odds of being straight aren't exactly in my favor... But if I am, that's ok. Vanyel fell in love, so you must be a great guy. Maybe I'll fall in love too and maybe I'll get to be happier and make whoever I'm with just as happy."

Valentine tried to tear the paper off his skin, but could not, “You remind me too much of my younger self. Innocent, not knowing who to love.” Valentine walked right up to Even, his body almost touching the boys. But he quickly reached down scooping up the books he hag thrown,“Keep away from me, I do not wish to watch you die.” turning Valentine began to walk away.

Yet again the wall appeared and then the book slid out of Valentine's hands piece by piece and slowly returned to Even's hands. " Paper won't let you hold it ransom against me." He walked to Valentine. "I'm not going to die. Paper won't let me."

"Paper? Are you serious? Do you really think paper is going to save you?" He asked, turning around, "You can burn paper, rip paper, cut paper!" Valentine shouted, "Do you really think that if your going to die you can stop it? Do think Vanyel thought he could stop his death?!" He rose his voice higher and higher, and then Valentine was right infront of Even.

Even didn't back down. He simply nodded. "I'm sure Van tried to sing his way out of it, but if she was even half succubus, he wouldn't have succeeded, gay or straight. I on the other hand have a more defensive and offensive ability. Add a mutual affinity for paper, and I'm almost invincible." Even saw Valentine open his mouth to speak again, so Even headed him off. "Look, I know that you're worried about me, but don't be. I've gotten out of a few scrapes myself. I've even Had to help Van." by this time Even was starting to get frustrated and he jabbed Valentine in the chest. "Vanyel was MY brother, I lived with him for all of my life and most of his. I knew him better than anyone else on this planet, so don't tell meTHAT I CAN'T HELP GET THE PERSON WHO MURDERED HIM!" Even finished screaming in Valentine's face.

His screams ecoed in Valentine's ears, and Valentine grabbed Even's wrist, then his other wrist and slammed him againest his on paper wall, "If he was your brother then why after two days of his death are you just now finding out!?!" He shouted back, "You wouldnt even know about it if it wasnt for me! If it wasnt for my witeness to the murder!" Valentine roared, staring at Even, and still holding him againest the wall.

"Is that my fault?!" Even Screamed back in his face. Then he melted through the paper wall, startling Valentine into letting him go. Then he walked calmly through to stand beside the other boy. "If it were my choice, he'd be alive and I'd be dead. But that's not the way it happened, so we have to make the best of it. Now, you can either let me help you, or I can tell the teachers and administraters what you plan to do."

Valentine let out an annoyed sigh and turned around to face Even, "Go ahead. Tell the teachers, they'll be my pratice murder." He sneered, "Now, let me out of this damn hallway, and away from you." Valentine glared at the boy's stubbornness.

Valentine snatched his books up and stormed off down the hallway, as he got farther from the boy his anger started to fade and his miond drifted back to Vanyel. /He was his only brother..\ Valentine said to himself, /But he's only a kid! He thinks he can just prance around revengeing...Well, I think that too. Argh, Vanyel would kill me in my sleep if anything happened to that kid.\ His mind argued. Groaning, Valentine turned around and jogged back over to Even, "Hey, wait a mintute!" He called, "Your...your Vanyel's brother, and if Vanyel could he'd kick my ass if anything happened to you. So. Whether you like it or not, your not going out of my sight, but no way are you going to deal with this bitch." He said strictly.

"And I dont want any atittude coming out of you, I'm being nice here, when otherwise I'd kick your ass right out of my life." Valentine snapped. Staring at Even, Valentine shook his head, "Alright now come on, you need to know where my room is incase you need a place to dash into." He muttered, striding ahead of Even and walking towards the dorms hallway.

Turning down some hallways, and up a flight of stairs Valentine soon came to the the dormroom full of memorys.
Pulling out his keys swiftly, Valentine popped open the door and stepped inside, "Well this is it. Just dont touch my stuff, I dont care what you do with my roomie's items, and we'll get along fine." Sitting down on his bed, Valentein looked up to watch Even.
