Kimi squirmed in her her seat, attempting to make herself more comfortable, with no luck whatsoever. Exhaling in defeat, she sat straight up in the seat and looked up at the ceiling. She needed a book, but didn't feel like getting up. What a good oppurtunity...
Kimi closed her eyes, then opened them again and focused on a bookshelf near her chair. Scanning the titles for something interesting, she found a book that looked interesting enough. Lifting her right hand, she focused her mind on the book, and soon enough the book began to escape from its bookshelf prison and made its way towards Kimi's outsretched hand.
Grasping the spine, Kimi smiled and layed back against her chair and examined the books cover. The title, "Telekenisis for the Scatter-Minded", made her laugh. Opening to the first page, she shook her head at the simplicity of the book, but began to read anyways.

Racoon, in his invisible state, had actually been following Kimi around for most of the day. He did these kinds of things when he was bored, and figured she'd show something valuable sooner or later. After all, he'd never heard of a girl without jewelry or something like that, unless they were perhaps poor. Though he doubted Kimi was poor, in truth.
Watching as she used her powers to retrieve the book, taking hold of it by it's spine, he blinked and then walked closer, his shoes making a muffled tapping noise against the red carpet, though at this moment he didn't care. Now behind her, Racoon narrowed his eyes at the words. They seemed rather easy to read, and before he knew it he was done with the first page. Shaking his head, Racoon turned around to look for a more interesting book, finding one with a similar title and then turning around back to Kimi.
Approaching her once more, he dropped it in front of her and spoke, something he didn't normally do. Which was talking to people he didn't know, and he didn't really know Kimi. Though this didn't stop him. "I'm sure this book is more interesting." he stated quietly, slowly backing away and liking the fact it would have seemed strange that he see could her, though she couldn't see him but he was still talking as though she could.

Kimi jumped, startled, when she heard the book land on the ground in front of her. Looking around, puzzled, heard someone talking to her, and sounded as if they were in front of her. Staring straight ahead, she closed her book, then bent down and picked the one on the ground up. "Thank you..." She said quietly, unsteadily looking around the library. Opening to the first page of the book, she could already tell that this was far more interesting than the other one. Looking back up, she squinted her eyes.
"Who's there?" She whispered, hoping no one other than the unseeable person could hear her. Involuntarily, her hand went towards her neck, where her bell necklace was. Whenever she was nervous, she would subconsiously put her hand around the small bell. But of course, it wasn't just a bell, as everyone suspected. Only known to her and her family, Kimi's necklace concealed a red jewel, passed down in her family for generations. The stone was believed to bring strength and courage in frightening, or unnerving, situations.

Racoon stood where he was, just a few feet away from her, and was about to answer her question when his eyes rested on the bell before her hands wrapped around it. His ears twitched slightly, and he closed his mouth, which had remained open because he was about to say something. Licking his lips, the invisible boy ignored her question and silently approached, little by little, until he was closer, to the point where if she reached out her hand she'd brush against him.
"What's that?" he whispered, ears angled forward, eager to hear her response. He tried not to sound suspcious, or even recognizable, since she had heard his voice before. But now he just wanted the bell, he forgot why he even came, or who this girl was. The only thing he could focus on was taking that bell, because it was something he didn't have. And he wanted it, mostly for that reason. It was pretty, it was valuable, and he needed it.
Unsheathing his claws silently, he walked backwards, away from her quietly, still awaiting her answer.

Kimi flinched back, hearing the boy directly in front of her. "What, this?" Kimi's hand dropped from the bell. "It's something that's been in my family for a long time." Kimi narrowed her eyes suspiciously, and wrapped her hand around the bell again. "Why do you ask?" She asked quietly, glancing around the library, then stared straight in front of her. Sitting up straight, Kimi coughed nervously, then began to focus her mind, just in case.

Racoon didn't move, his eyes pasted onto the bell. He almost gasped, marveling at it's simplicity, it's beauty, and when her hand covered the prize again he bit his lip, ears twitching at the suspicion that lurked within her voice. She was already onto him, though he'd just act like there was nothing wrong and, claws unsheathed, slowly approached her. When he was in front of the girl, Racoon leaned forward and the tip of his claw touched her hand, and immediatly he took it back and walked behind her, once more a little far away, and then ignored her question again.
"It's pretty."

Kimi jumped again, feeling a claw touch her hand. Drawing both hands in front of her and clasped together, she turned her head as she heard him speak again behind her. She thought back to the fact that the boy had a claw. "What are you?" She asked slowly. "And why won't you show yourself?"

For the first time, he actually answered her question, eyes narrowing, even though he knew she couldn't see.
"I am a being of this Earth, such as you." Racoon said vaguely, the answer to her question most unlike an actual answer. He was becoming more inquisitive by the second, and the urge to steal was nearly unbearable.
"Is this item precious to you?" he asked, not moving from where he was, though he continually kept sheathing and unsheathing his claws, the action making a low sound.

Kimi narrowed her eyes slightly at his answer.
"I assumed that much." She replied, then paused at his question, tapping the bell to where it made a small, jingling noise. "Precious to me? Well..." It was her turn to not answer. She was beginning to feel nervous, especially after hearing the small sound of something being sheathed. What was this guy? She stood slowly, turning to face where she assumed the person to be, hand still clasped around the bell.

At the jingling noise of the object, Racoon stopped himself from jumping at Kimi by knocking down one or two books from a shelf, attracting the attention of a few people, and then putting them back in order before turning back to Kimi, awaiting her answer.
When she started, he leaned forward, but when she wouldn't finish, he found himself becoming increasingly upset. "Answer me." he demanded, claws sheathing and unsheathing faster and faster, the only way he found to contain himselfm without disrupting anyone or anything. After all, he didn't want to hurt Kimi, he just needed to get that bell or he'd kill himself.
Simple.

Kimi, frightened, took a couple steps back when she saw the books fall off the shelf and the sheathing sound faster, not to mention his command. "Yes, it's precious to me!" She started, then slowly lowered her hands. "And if anyone were to steal it..." Here she smirked. "I'd kill them!" Outstretching one hand, several large books came flying off the shelves and positioned themselves around her, prepared to be thrown at anyone who thought they might decide to steal a certain necklace.

Holding back a stressed noise, Racoon slowly and silently walked father away, circled the table and approached from behind, though he was able to stay still and watch her. Carefully and silently, though he wore baggy clothes, he was easily able to slide between the books and appeared behind Kimi, slightly taller than she. Sheathing his claws so he wouldn't hurt her, Racoon gently placed his hands on her shoulders, not wanting to scare her.
"Please, I just want to see it. I promise I won't take it, just lift it up so I can see." he said, almost begging for it.

Kimi tensed up at the touch of hands on her shoulders. Startled, all the books in the air fell to the ground around her. Slowly, she loosened her grip on her necklace, still suspicious of him. Why did he want to see it so bad? "On one condition." She whispered, now noticing the strange looks she was getting. "You show yourself. You let me see you, and i'll let you see the necklace."

Racoon sighed, releasing his hands off her shoulders, but staying where he was. "I can't do that. Sorry." he sighed, still desperate for the necklace, though he wasn't going to show himself. In the future, he might have thought about it, but his identity wasn't worth a necklace, no matter how nice it was. And even though he had planned to steal it, he decided he'd have to try again some other time.
With that, Racoon remained where he was, right behind Kimi, saying nothing. He was quiet to the point where it didn't even sound like he was breathing.

Kimi felt the pressure release off her shoulders, and she exhaled. Not hearing anyone, and not seeing anyone either, she assumed the boy had basically left. Walking towards the once pre-occupied, uncomfortable chair, she sighed again and sat in it cross-legged, one hand still wrapped around the bell. Raising her hand, the books on the ground steadily rose and made their way back to their places on the shelf.
