"Um." Kimi paused a second, once more having to comprehend what he said. "Uh, i've been here a couple days. I like it here. Oh, and I don't think you're a pervert!" Kimi smiled and tilted her head to the side. "But could you, like, slow down and breath before you die of suffication?" Kimi laughed, then watched as a book came from seemingly nowhere, then glanced towards the direction from which the book came. 'It must be Racoon...' Kimi thought, then nervously bit the nail on her thumb.

"Oh good," Anxo replied, a smile of genuine relief playing across his smooth features. "And uh, yeah; I don't think there's any danger of me suffocating, my ol' granny-bags had a thing or two to say about how fast I talk sometimes..." The dark-winged teen took a deep breath and began again, his words at half the speed they were previously. "Ok, how's this? Any better? I'm told I've got quite the accent, too."
Anxo opened his mouth to speak again when the book suddenly whizzed by his head. He gasped and cried out, "Huh-hey! No need to throw anymore books at me, really! If I'm STILL talking too fast, just tell me! Really!" The second book hit him square between the wings. "Ow ow ow!" he cried, his wings immediately going limp. His gaze suddenly hardened and he glared angrily at Kimi. "What the F**K is your problem?! I've got sensitive muscles there, you know! If you want me to leave, just say so. GEEZ! If you wanted ANYTHING from me just say so! I hope you don't chuck stuff at other people like this! Not all of them are gonna be as nice as me!" The teen stood and shoved the chair in angrily, still glaring down at her. "I changed my mind. Telekinesis ain't such a good thing after all!" And with that, Anxo stormed out of the library, not even bothering to wait for a reply from Kimi. Hey, not only had that bruised his flight muscles, that hurt his feelings too!

"Stop following me, Xavier!" Dementia ordered in a harsh murmur under her breath. The heels of her shoes clicked against the pavement as she briskly walked away from Cobalt as fast as she could without breaking into a run. He jogged beside her easily with a look of indignation on his face.
"So we're resulting to insults now? Owch! Below the belt, D!" He was referring to the use of his real name. His face twisted into an expression of mock pain and surprise, then melted into frustration when she didn't even turn to look. He quickened his pace and stepped in front of her to cut her off.
"Come on, D, just hear me out!" he pleaded. Dementia averted his eyes and pushed past him, clipping her bony shoulder on his unyielding figure. She quickened her pace. Cobalt followed suit and remained closely behind.
"Cut me some slack, D! I've had a bad day and I need a quick fix. You know... Someone hard--yeah!--hard and fast who always has my whole attention and leaves no room to think about anything else! Someone who can really get me going the whole night! And guess what, babe: it's you. So looks like it's your lucky day."
Dementia was silent for a moment, but the break in her pace gave away the careful facade of ignorance and indifference she had put on. "Yeah. It was my lucky day then, too, wasn't it?" she asked, sounding almost sadly sincere, as she resumed her fast walk and gathered herself together quickly. She added to her original thought, "At least, that's what it said in your sex journal. Nice one, hot dog, sending that one into the school news." Her voice was just dripping with sarcasm. "So go find another rebound skank, Xavier. I'm not your plaything anymore." She didn't bother to hide the anger in her voice.
"What? No one says no to me!" Cobalt cried in a mix of fury and surprise. Dementia stopped dead in her tracks and turned around to face her pursuer straight in the face, her eyes showing no sign of anything but annoyance at a pesky bug.
"I believe I just did." She turned on her heel and continued on her way.
"So where do you think you're going then, huh? Answer me that!" he demanded of her, wishing to hell that she would just stop so he could reason with her face to face. He was impossible to refuse! He was immaculate! He was Xavier Pelasci!
"The library, Xavier. The one place that you would never be seen in," she responded coldly.
"Oh, no. No. You're not doing this to me, Dementia! You know I would go to the ends of the earth for you!"
"Don't give me that shit you tell every girl, Xavier. I'm not falling for it again," she told him brusquely. Dementia reached for the door to the library just as Anxo was storming out angrily, but Cobalt grabbed her other wrist angrily and jerked her back as hard as he could. She stumbled, lost her balance, and fell into Anxo with a slight gasp of surprise. In a moment, Cobalt was practically on top of her, staring into her eyes earnestly, passionately furious.
"No," Cobalt growled, "but you fell for me for my strength then, and that hasn't changed. I have power over you, and I'm not going to let you refuse me."
Dementia's eyes flashed with an emotion for the first time as she leered at him. "You should know by now, Xavier, that I'm not submissive." Pointed lumps began to move underneath her wrist, easily visible in her unnaturally thin arms. They spread themselves around her wrist in a bracelet of thorns, ready to shoot out of their weak casing at any moment. "I could run you through without even moving right now if I wanted to, Xavier." She was dead serious. "You're lucky to be competent enough that I don't want to arbitrarily kill you, but that is subject to change if you keep insisting on acting like you are, where you are." Her eyes rolled towards Anxo, for she couldn't move her head due to Cobalt's inhumanly tight grip. "You forget we're not alone."
"Get out of here, asshole! I have some business to attend to," Cobalt snapped as he followed Dementia's gaze to the face of the poor guy who would be next to incur his wrath simply for existing. The strength of Cobalt's temper was already being put to the test by "Damn Donia" without Dementia's help, and he was quite ready to unleash all his fury on the next person who walked by. He looked ready to explode.
No pun intended.

Kimi's face held a look of shock as she watched after Anxo. "Thanks a lot." She murmered for Racoon to hear. Standing, she quickly ran after Anxo. "Hey!" Running out of the library door, she ungracefully tripped over two people, er, laying on eachother directly in front of the door. Grumbling, she slowly stood, then glanced to the side and saw Anxo. "Hey. I didn't throw those books at you! You didn't notice? There's another boy in there. INVISIBLE." Kimi stretched the last word dramatically. Crossing her arms, she turned her head and looked curiously over her shoulder. Shrugging, she turned back to Anxo.

"For the love of... Who the heck does she think she is? Telekinesis my tail feathers! That was one lowdown dirty - OOF!" Everything happened so fast: Dementia's elbow connected with Anxo's midriff and brought him down with her. Next thing he knew some overbearing individual was standing over both of them and shouting some very unpleasant things Wow. At first, Anxo merely blinked a few times, still out of breath from the accidental blow to his solar plexus and dazed from the tumble. "H-huh? Asshole? What the heck did I ever do to you, bub?" His Welsh accent returned full force and his words resumed their usual speed. "And this is a public place, so if anyone's to sod off, it's you!" He stood and fixed a pointed glare at this Xavier. "And who the hell do you think you are to be talking to a girl like that? Here, sweetie;" Anxo helped Dementia to her feet. "No harm done, right?"
Then Kimi appeared next to him and Anxo momentarily forgot about Xavier. "Ah, oh, invisible, you say?" Realization dawned on his face and he beamed. "Oh... OHHH! Oh my goodness! I'm sooooo sorry, Kimi! I'm so sorry I blamed those mean things on you! It's just that, what with you tossing those books earlier, I kinda put two and two together in my head, you ken? So I'm sorry! You forgive me?"
No doubt it was quite an amusing scene: Cobalt leering angrily at Anxo and Dementia; Anxo with his hand on Dementia's other arm, helping her to her feet; and Anxo pining to Kimi seeming completely oblivious to Cobalt's intimidating presence.

As Dementia felt Anxo's supporting hand help her up from off the ground, and his reassuring, caring voice reached her ears...
...an overwhelming wave of rage hit her in the face like a gale-force wind. In a flash of red and white, her kneecap, contorted into a dull point, burst out from underneath her skin with a resounding crack. She didn't even bother to recognize the pain as she focused her entire attention solely on ramming her knee as hard as she could into Cobalt's crotch.
It took Cobalt a moment to react. First his eyes opened wide and he let out a little gasp like the air had been knocked out of him when he realized what she had just done. Then the sound came. Man, could that guy howl! He quickly released his grip on Dementia to grasp his wounded area and keeled over in pain. Dementia yelped in surprise as she fell down onto the concrete, held up only by Anxo's not-so-tight anymore grip (he seemed to have quite a changing attention span), suddenly finding herself not supported by Cobalt's strong arms. Her face scrunched up as she bit her lip so not to let out a cry of pain when her spine smashed on the hard rock. She could feel her torn skin starting to repair itself immediately following the injury, but despite the pain, she was still able to smile knowing that Cobalt's misery was much, much worse. Dementia pulled on Anxo's arm to help herself up, stumbling slightly; one of her high-heels had broken off as she fell.
"I warned you, Xavier," she told him as she leaned over, still holding onto Anxo's arm for balance, to pop her rapidly shrinking kneecap back in place underneath her skin. Her skin cells immediately rushed in to heal the open, bleeding wound.
Cobalt didn't reply but simply moaned as he crawled over to the grass on the side of the sidewalk, grabbed a nearby bench to pull himself up, and hobbled behind a few trees and bushes, out of sight.
Dementia released her tight grip on Anxo's arm and turned to look at her would-be-rescuer. Would-be, that is, if he hadn't completely forgotten about Cobalt as soon as Kimi walked out of the library. She waited until he was finished apologizing and then spoke up.
"Thank you, but I had everything under control," she muttered quietly, as though her strong voice had been drained out of her by the experience. "I'm perfectly capable of dealing with him myself. Really." Her eyes traveled down to the place on his abdomen where she had elbowed him on her way down. "I'm sorry if I hurt you... or inconvenienced you in any way at all," she added in a dully monotonous, polite voice. "I also apologize for you two having to be subject to any of this... animal's behavior. Do excuse us."

Racoon shrugged at Kimi's comment, happier that Anxo was gone instead of still there annoying him. Now that he was alone with her, he'd have a chance to take the necklace. Or, did have a chance, more like it. Eyes narrowed in annoyance, Racoon watched as Kimi left the table and followed the annoying boy outside. With a shake of his head, he reluctantly followed her, dragging his feet silently along.
But, of course, something else had to go wrong. Two people, a boy and a girl, bitching over something he could obviously care less about. Once more, he shook his head, finding no other way to express his annoyance and his displeasure in the whole matter. Standing by Kimi, he watched the scene unfold before him as though it were a movie. The only thing he couldn't do was pause, play, and rewind.
Anxo helped up the girl while Kimi explained how it wasn't her fault, and then the girl kicked the boy in the crotch (he almost winced at the sight, not wanting to imagine how excruciating the pain was). Then he fell down, she fell down, she was smashed against the wall (again, very painful) but she seemed to have it better than the boy. He didn't even feel sorry for Cobalt, guessing he did something to deserve such treatment.
After all was done, he turned to Kimi, then to Anxo, and to the girl and shrugged, crossing his arms over his chest. "That wasn't something you see every day."

Kimi shook her head at how fast Anxo could change the subject. "Don't worry about it. You didn't know." She said quietly, watching as the entire boy-and-girl-fight-thing unfolded in front of her, ended, then turned out really silent, and painful looking. She couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the guy, but he'd have had to do something bad to deserve that.
Hearing the familiar voice beside her, Kimi turned her head at the sound. "Pas de teut." Kimi said softly, shaking her head at the strangeness of things.

Wow. Everything happened so fast. The girl's knee cap suddenly expanded and the next thing Anxo knew he was covering his ears to keep out the howl of ultimate pain that would have every male within hearing distance wincing in sympathetic pain. Ah well, he DEFINITELY deserved it! Feeling weight tugging on his arm, Anxo noticed Dementia was on the ground again and helped her to her feet once more as her knee cap shrunk and sank back into her knee again (man, he was NEVER gonna get used to the stunning array of powers the others had at this school!).
"Thank you, but I had everything under control; I'm perfectly capable of dealing with him myself. Really." she said almost apologetically, her eyes travelling down to the place on Anxo's abdomen where she had elbowed him on her way down. "I'm sorry if I hurt you... or inconvenienced you in any way at all."
Anxo smoothed out his shirt and re-tucked his wings, although grimacing a bit when he did so; that invisible creep had really done a number on the main muscles used to control the feathery appendages. "Stupid little invisible sack of burning crap, I'm gonna - oh? Oh no! Not at all. Things happen, you ken? That wasn't your fault at all and I don't want you thinking that way, you hear me?" His dark gaze travelled to where Xavier had limped off to and a sneer disgust twisted his face. "What a jerk - I mean, there are other words, but they just don't work the same. He's a jerk, through and through I say!"
Then Kimi seemed to whisper something. "Oh hey, come again? I didn't quite hear you - unless you weren't even talking to me... Heh heh, I have a bad habit of thinking everyone's talking me; used to drive my old granny-bags nuts."

Dementia frowned deeply when she heard Raccoon speak, starting to regain her usual persona. She ran a hand through her short, nearly white hair, her cold eyes glancing around to see from whom the voice had come. ((Raccoon is still invisible, right?))
Her face softened up the more her eyes darted around, looking for the weakling who refused to show himself to her eyes. Only a coward would hide himself from the vision of others, especially in a situation such as this.
"Well, now, of course you don't see that every day." Her words almost had the sound of a mother comforting a child, matching the cute smile that her lips had curled into. "You don't see it every day, because no one has enough balls for me to kick every f**ing day of the week." Her smile was beginning to look more forced, being fake as it was. The more she talked, the more she seemed to start to come apart at the seams. She couldn't stop. She just damn couldn't shut up! She laughed, shrugging so violently that it seemed to jerk her entire slight frame.
"I don't know why I was even apologizing! I don't care about what any of you think! The only thing I should be sorry for is not doing this any earlier! In fact, I'm glad that you're here!" her voice was starting to become hysterical, so unlike the cold, condescending, haughty, sickeningly calm tone people were so used to hearing. "Ugh!" Stop talking! Stop it, you damn fool! She didn't realize the strange tears that were forming in her eyes. "It is so my fault! It's my fault! I should have done this sooner! No... No... I should have never even gotten myself into a situation like this! I'm making myself out to be some weak fool! Someone please slap me!" By the end of her short speech, her voice had increased in volume until it was a desperate scream. Her hands had involuntarily clenched into fists, and her nails bit into her palms like the teeth of a wild animal. They shook with the force of her anger.
What was she doing? This wasn't her! This was definitely not her, pouring out her emotions that she refused to acknowledge she has to some happy-go-lucky strangers on the street with short attention spans and a knowledge of French phrases! Oh, god, oh dear god! She was losing it!
