New Friends? {Kasumi -Tiffany}

[Tiffany]

Daedalus sat near the water, not wanting to touch it. He nonchalantly flipped a coin into the air. It fell back into his hand no matter where it went. He had control over most metals, and the metal in the coin was attracted to the palm of his hand like a magnet. He didnt even look at it anymore. His blond hair flew around behind him as a strong gust of wind blew strongly through the hedges that made the maze. It hadnt taken him long to find the middle of the maze. He had always been good with puzzles. He stood up, grabbing the coin out of the air and shoving it back into his pocket. He walked over to the fountain, and just stared into it. He saw a straight face..He had taken his shirt off after leaving the cafe, just like he knew he would. A hand trailed over the tribal tattoo over his arm and chest. He was well built, he worked out a lot, having nothing else interesting to do. He sighed and laid down on the bench, closing his eyes and basking in the sun. "So...bored.."

[Kasumi]

"Finally.." Eve said as she made her way to the fountain. She had been searching for it, but never had the idea to change her luck to get there until now. She was looking at the ground as she walked over to the water inside the fountain. She was wearing her usual outfit that made her look like a fortune teller. Her gold headband gleamed in the sunlight as the breeze blew her silky silver hair away from her face. She looked up after a while and saw someone was there.

She walked over to the other side to see who it was. It wasn't anyone she knew. She stood there gazing at the boy as he was looking at himself. She gave a small smile, and went toward the water again. She looked at herself as he did.

Daedalus stared at the sky, trying to find shapes in the clouds. He couldnt believe how bored he had to be to do this. It used to be a favorite pastime..and now look at him. Hasn't done it in years..even though he loved doing it. He smiled and heard a noise. He bolted up and turned around in one smooth move. He was sitting up, a hand on one of the daggers at his side before he saw that it was just another person enjoying the fountain. He relaxed and wondered for a moment why he had been so jittery. He smiled, slightly embarrassed by his reaction. He stood up and cleared his throat. "Sorry..I ..I dont know what came over me." He said stuttering. He sighed. What had gotten into him? Usually he was extremely calm, decisive.. He ran a hand through his hair and peered over at the girl looking into the fountain just as he had done. She was..quite pretty.."My name is Daedalus...Or Dea for short.." He said giving her a slight bow as he approached her. "May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?"

Eve turned to the boy after he made a fast movement out of the corner of her eye. She saw he was ready for something to pop out. She gave him a small smile, then giggled at his reation to her. "Oh..." she said after he asked for her name. "My name's Eve." she said still slightly smiling. She wasn't really looking at him, but more of his body. She could see that he had a good build. "It's okay...I didn't mean to startle you, heh." She closed her eyes and gave another smile. Then she opened her eyes and fixed her headband that had slipped to the side. Her eyes were still scanning his body like some sort of machine. Hm..' she thought looking now at his face.

Daedalus looked slightly confused at her reaction. He followed her gaze that wasnt exactly centered on his face. When he saw that she was staring at his body, he grinned devilishly. "Hello Eve." He said with another small bow. "It is nice to meet you. May I ask what a lovely lady like you is doing here?" He asked her bluntly. He pushed his hand through his hair and chuckled when she pushed her headband back. "What a nice outfit you have on.. Must have something to do with your power?" He guessed, hopefully correctly. "I have power over metal..Nothing truely amazing.." He said flipping a coin at her. It stopped close to her and came back to him as if attached to a rubber band. He smiled, and turned part of his body to titanium, the arm that sported the tattoo. The metal glinted in the sun, and the tattoo showed up as an engraving on the metal. He turned the metal back to skin and grinned at her. "What do you do?"

[Kasumi]

"Well, I'm here just because I can be. Well, I'm bored. That's why." she said sweetly. Her eyes caught somthing as he explained what he could do. She watched part of him turn into metal and her eyes widened. The she smiled and said softly, "Uh...I can change peoples fortune and sometimes tell the future. For example", she said more loudly, "how I got here. I was totally lost at first, so I just changed my luck, and here I am. If I changed your luck to bad, then something bad would happen to you." she said smiling. "I guess it comes in handy when I get mad at people." she said still smiling at him. Her eyes were now looking into his as she put her arms behind her back. "May I ask why you have no shirt on?" she said then giggled at him.

Daedalus laughed. " Well, remind me not to get on your bad side then, will you?" He chuckled. "What a magnificent talent.. Umm..well, to be truely honest.. I dont like shirts. When I have to wear them, it is usually just a button up so I can leave it unbuttoned..too constricting.." He said shrugging. "I dont like them on me..and..Well..maybe I should stop there." He said grinning. "Seems like a good reason to be here..because you were bored. What a coincidence. I am bored too." He turned and sat back down. He patted the seat, "Mind being bored with me?" He asked leaning back and letting his long legs stretch out in front of him. He put his hands behind his head and smiled. He closed his eyes and reveled in the warmth of the day, waiting for her to join him. "You dont have to..it would just be nice if you did." He said quietly.

Eve turned to him, "Yeah, that's fine." she said as she sat down next to him. Her arms were on the sides of her and her long silver hair hung down next to her skinny body. She had pretty good curves she noticed. "Well thats nice to not have to wear a shirt." she said as she laughed. What did I just say? she though to hereself turning her head slightly to Dea's face. She sighed then caught herself. That was very smooth Eve. she thought again. Now it seems like I'm sighing at him. she almost laughed but held it in. "It's a really nice day out acually." she said having thoughts of changing the weather. She was just bored, but she didn't really want to get wet right now. Plus it would be mean to do that, especially when he has no shirt on, she though once more. Her jewels on her skirt were making a clinking sound as thw ind blew them to the side. She slipped her shoes off since it was so nice out.

Daedalus heard her sit next to him, and relaxed almost imperceptively. For a second there, he didnt think that she would. He chuckled at her statement. "It has its high points." He said softly. He opened one eye slightly just in time to catch her turning to see his face. Usually his hair hung in his face, so not many people got to see much of it. Right now though he was leaning back, and his hair hung to the sides and back, revealing a strong jawline, full lips, a straight, aristocratic nose, and thick eyelashes rimming bright blue eyes. He smiled at her and let his eyes go over her face. Graceful and smooth, beautiful porcelian skin. Bright beautiful eyes. Wow.. Daedalus thought as he closed his eyes once more. "Yes..beautiful.." He said, wondering if she would take it as him agreeing with her over how beautiful the day was..or him simply stating on what he thought of her. He did not elaborate. He sat there just feeling the warmth of the sun on his skin, and listening to the gentle clicking of the jewels on her skirt. He heard a light sound and opened his eyes again. She had taken off her shoes? Means she intends to stay for a while I guess.. He thought with a small smile. "What do you like to do in your free time?" He asked trying to create a conversation.

Eve relaxed a bit more and leaned back as well. "Well, I pretty much just like to use my powers. I don't really have anything to do in my free time so I mess with peoples luck sometimes. It's mean sometimes, but it's so funny. I won't over do it though. Only small things." she said now thinking of how lucky someone had to be to have a guy like him if they did. "What about you?" she said now swinging her feet slightly back and forth. She just now noticed how much jewelery she had on. Her ankles, waist, wrists, head, and neck all had some sort of thing on them. She decided to copy his movementns and she put her hands behind her head and felt the warmth on her skin that was showing. Her bright blue-gray eyes were closing slowly as she took in the sun.

Daedalus sighed at the comfortable silence. Wonderful. He let his lips curl up into a smile. "Sounds like a fun thing to do.." He said softly. It was so comfortable, and so warm.. Beside a beautiful woman under the warmth of the sun. Could it get better? Daedalus couldnt think of anything and was lulled by the swishing sound of her skirts as her feet swung back and forth. He felt himself going to sleep, and he couldnt be happier. A good nap was what he needed. He closed his eyes and focused on the shadows behind his eyelids. "Isnt this wonderful?" He asked her, drifting off to sleep. " I like to use my powers..but I rarely find the opportunity. I exorcise them daily, just to not get rusty from lack of use..you know?"

Eve laughed softly. She didn't exactly know what to say anymore. She knew he was falling asleep because of the softness in his voice. Oh well, she thought, he probably needs it. "Yeah..." she said starting to fall asleep herself. Her feet gradually stopped swinging as she starting to sleep. It was silent for a few minutes and she didn't know she was this tired. It was probably the warm sun on her skin that was making her sleepy. Finally she dozed off, and as she did her head slipped towards Dea. Her head was now leaning on his shoulder as she slept.

Daedalus awoke suddenly. He was dreaming of someone..who was it? He shook his head. He couldnt remember. His skin felt warm, must be from the sun..He turned his head to see blond. He was confused for a moment, but smiled as he remembered that this was the girl he had been talking to before he fell asleep. Must have made her tired too. He stroked her hair back into place and watched her sleep. How sweet..He thought she would leave him lying there asleep..but she joined in his nap. Maybe she was just tired too? Or the sun and warmth, and the breeze and the slight sound of the fountains water cascading down into the lowest pool got to her, but anyway..He left her there, and merely watched the water falling as she slept. The lulling sound of her slow breathing making him drift back off to sleep. Such a wonderful way to spend the day..

Eve cuddled against something like it was her bead, but she could've sworn it she wasn't in her bead. She slowly opened her eyes and noticed she was still at the fountain. She lifted her head a little upwards and looked to see what she was leaning on. It was Dea. "Opps." she said looking at him. She looked out and away from his face and saw that it was getting late. Not yet night, but the sun was just setting. Eve sighed and relaxed again. "Dea? Are you up?" she said gently to him in a sweet voice. She turned her head slowly towards him again.

Daedalus muttered something imperceptably. Then woke up to the sound of a woman's voice. "Huh..Oh..yeah." He said sitting up and rubbing a hand across his eyes. He focused on her slowly. "Oh..yeah Im up..now anyway." He said with a smile. He stood up and stretched, wincing slightly at the deep indentions in his back from the wood on the bench. "Sometimes wearing a shirt is a good thing?" He said doubtfully, tracing a finger on the reddened part on his back. "Ow..How long were we asleep?" He asked her leaning forward and back to stretch out the cramped muscles." And are you okay?" He asked instantly concerned for her. "I didnt mean to fall asleep.." He said stepping close to her and offering her a hand up. "I think it is getting late..do you mind if I walk you back to your dorm?" He asked her, not wanting her to be walking outside at night alone.
