Then, she thought he was caring whenever he went to help Caynce. THEEEN, SHE FOUND HIS JOURNAL!!! What character thinks: I... I don't know what to think about Arkady. He inspires the contradictory emotions that I thought I had been done with once and for all when Seaheart came along. I loathe his very core, yet at the same time I want him so badly, more badly than I've ever wanted anyone. He reminds me of Dariusz, painfully so. I can barely stand to look at him for the guilt that just washes over me, the unhappiness, the hopelessness... And yet, I want him because of it. I want to feel the way that Dariusz made me feel again, but I know I don't deserve it. I'm too damn horrible. I don't deserve Arkady. I don't deserve not to feel like the miserable being that I am. And there's still Seaheart, whom I don't know if I could give up, and I'm betraying him with every damn thought of Arkady. I can't have him, I won't let myself have him, I shouldn't have him, but that only makes me want him more.
