(OOC: *bows* Hello all! Just making my debut and all Please don't be shy!) Arkasha Scott Belmont glanced slowly from left to right, his icy sapphire eyes taking in the unfamiliar urban landscape. An unlit cigarette hung loosely from his smooth, rosy lips. He would roll it around occasionally from one corner of his mouth to the other, as if mulling over some unknown complexity in his mind. But no; it was just a nervous habit. Arkady had been trying to quit for the past month now, and although he couldn't quite stop the cancer stick from reaching his lips he found that moving it around quelled the need for his fingers to wrap around a lighter and - well, you get the picture. Arkady's body was starved of nicotine and not liking it. His normally-dazzling sapphire gaze was lucid and watery; his milky complexion was of an almost-transparent sheen; and although he hadn't run a comb through it in over a week, neglect couldn't hide the natural silky texture of his fair hair. Letting his flaxen locks fall in haphazard waves around his cranium gave him a roguish charm, only enhancing his physical appeal. Be that as it many, Arkady was determined to beat his 5 year addiction, pondering on it as he plodded on through the early night. Dusk, that's what it was called. That time when the sun had nearly tucked itself in for the night and cast a purplish scarlet hue over this section of the earth. Oh who cares?A long-fingered, sinewy hand systematically clenched and unclenched in his pocket, seeking the old brass zippo that he'd purposely left at home. As if knowing he'd have a severe lapse in willpower, Arkady had attempted to remove the temptation entirely - well, almost; the fact remained that he DID he have a cigarette stuck in his mouth. Hence the use of the term 'attempted'. It was easy enough to bum a light off some passerby... "Stop kidding yourself, Arkasha," he mumbled to himself. He then sighed wistfully and glared up at the moon; what would the old man think of him now? Here he was, the most powerful vampire hunter the Belmont clan had seen in centuries and he was more concerned with getting a cocktail of toxic chemicals into his body than using the whip coiled at his side beneath his coat. Old man Belmont would turn over in his grave if he knew this was what centuries of training, conditioning and dedication had amounted to. Not my fault; you shouldn't have popped off as soon as you did, Pop, Arkady thought, a small flame of resentment igniting in his chest. It's because YOU kicked the bucket so soon that I smoke; it's because of YOU that I can't do anything right; it's because of YOU that mom became an alcoholic and doesn't give a rat's rear if I get bagged by some fanged freak. It's all your fault old man.Arkady exhaled heavily and kicked at the unyielding concrete, rolling the cigarette to the other side of his mouth. He was a fool and he knew it.

Footsteps echoed throught the quiet street on which Michella found herself to be on. In her lost thoughts she had barely noticed that she had gone off track and went down a different part of the city that she normally didn't know of. When she looked up, she scanned the area in which she was. I really need to pay more attention to where I'm going... Where am I at exactly? She questioned herself and found that she hadn't recognized anything in this vacinity and started to look back in the direction she had came. She sighed heavily and turned around. Okay, I know I came that way, but how on earth will I find the way back to that store with those miniatures in it? SHe tried to think back to earlier where she was looking back in the store's window. The miniature doll couch and bed would be perfect for the dollhouse she had setup in her room for her. With her ability to become that size, that dollhouse was a haven for her. She shook that thought from her mind. "Oh, It's no use. I wish that I had a cell phone. I'd call..." She began to think. Noone she knew had a cell phone and the schools number was a distant lost memory that was buried. "Noone...." She found the nearest window sill to sit on and put her head in her hands making a sound that horse's would make. In her silence she noticed she heard another set of footsteps which made her heart start to pound increasingly. She looked up afraid if she didn't and noticed someone who was smoking a ciggerette and her fears heightened slightly. I'm in some... strange street and this guy is coming closer to me. Geeze... Pay better attention next time. SHe told herself. He didn't seem to 'scary', so with a deep breath, she opened her mouth as a meek sound came out. "Excuse me sir... you wouldn't know which direction would be the Cassis school Would you? Or rather just to the the main street?" She fidgetted slightly as she rose slowly from where she sat and leaned on the wall trying to act calm.

Oy... What the heck was he doing here? Given Arkady's current state of mind, he was more likely to walk into a brick wall rather than stop and figure out some course of action. Mind you, being lost WAS kind of fun... It gave one a sense of anonymity that you couldn't get in a town where everyone knew who and what you were. So perhaps this was a good thing. Until...
Geez... Do the people around here let their ponies run loose or something? For the sound that reached his keen ears was exactly akin to some little lost pony snufflinf around the dirt and trash looking for a bite to eat - or perhaps a purpose? Nah. Arkady felt he was the only one dumb enough to actually LOOK for a purpose in life.
But lo! He found the little lost pony - she, in fact, appeared to be a girl sobbing - and lost, judging by her question. She was a sweet-looking pony, he'd give her that much. But clearly not very bright.
Arkady paused and regarded her for a second, the unlit cigarette rolling to the otherside of his mouth. "Uh, no. Sorry. I'm... pretty damn lost myself." He chuckled at himself. "But, unlike me, I guess you don't like being lost..." He sighed then plucked the cigarette out of his mouth and dropped it into his pocket. "That being the case, I don't think it's a good idea for you to be walking around out here all by yourself. Here, come on; I'll help you find this school, or main street - or what have you." Damn his chivalrous heart! The words had sprung from his mouth without even crossing his mind! Arkady supposed he couldn't deny what he was after all. Nah. He just didn't want to read the news tomorrow and see this girl's mutilated body splayed across the front page - and all because he'd been too much of a jerk to help her find her way? No thank you. Who knew what could happen?

Mezzidok walked around, looking around wonderingly, as if not sure what to do. He didn't know what much was anyway so he just took it in, questions piling upon himself until he was sure he couldn't think. He held a regretful look as always. He had never smiled, and didn't know what one was. He always held a regretful or sorry look on his face. It was just him, considering he felt bad that he was the only one left in his town. He shook his head, trying to shake osme questions away. His head was starting to hurt from them. He spotted a boy and a girl. Normally, he would pass right by them....except the boy had some stick in his mouth. A short stubbdy stick...he didn't know it was a cigarrette. He approached them without fear or hesitance of his question or that he was going up to strangers- he also didn't know what strangers were- he immediately asked while pointing to the short, stubby stick "What is that and why is it in your mouth? And why are you rolling it?" See what I said about him asking questions? Three right off the back to a complete stranger.

(OOC: Welcome welcome^^)
What the... Turning away from the sobbing girl before she had a chance to reply, Arkady's smooth brow furrowed in an expression of incredulity and he replied, "Uh, it's a cigarette, duh. A, it's in my mouth because I want it to be, and B, I'm rolling it around so I don't do something stupid like light up. I'm trying to quit." Was this kid born in a cave or something? Arkady shook his head then turned to face the girl again. Wierdo. Who the hell, in this day and age, didn't know what a cigarette was?

Michella watched as he approached her more, yet somehow she started to feel at ease. She looked to her left for a moment and returned her gaze after hearing that he was lost as well. Perhaps, it would be better to look for the way out of this labyrinth they called a town with him, and return to her gifted school. It seemed like the perfect place to be where you didn't have to be afraid of having something different about you. However, searching the lower part of the town with someone you don't know, doesn't make it any less 'comfortable'. "Well, I guess... it won't help much with both of us lost, I'm sure I can find the main street if I search hard enough... for it?" She mentioned to him and started to walk yet again, but suddently stopping when she saw that someone else who might be lost. He wasn't afraid of popping questions to complete strangers, and she raised an eyebrow at him. Strange part of town. Maybe It would be best if I complete my quest by myself? She stared at this guy who seemed all worried about what was previously in his mouth. Michella looked at Arkady with a strange face of 'you know him?' and she hoped that this guy wouldn't get started on her.

He looked at him even more curiously, but still regretfully and asked "Why would you want it there? And what's so bad about lighting it? How is it..stupid?" Yeah. A warning or a good idea would be to NOT answer the questions because more or less, more answers, equal more questions. He looked at the girl. She looked....lsot or something.....why? He didn't feel lost...but he had never been here...

"Yeah, I'm sure you could," Arkady conceded. "But it's not a good idea for a girl to be walking around after dark all by herself, you know? I'm not saying that to offend you, I mean, for I all I know you could be a fifth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do or something. But..." His handsome face adopted a bit of an embarassed smile. "But if you leave, than who'll help me, you know?" You're an idiot, Arkasha. You'd JUST said you like being lost! Get a grip! Arkady mentally gave himself a hard kick in the ass.
In response the girl's questioning look, Arkady shook his head. He didn't know this guy, and quite frankly, wasn't entirely sure he WANTED to know him.
"Hey buddy, pick up a book on the subject, will ya? I'm not a walking encyclopedia, and I don't wanna talk about it. Didn't you hear me? I'm TRYING to quit." Arkady didn't mean to sound rude, but he'd never had the patience for stupid questions, and smoking was the last subject matter he wanted to be talking about right now. Just the thought of all that lovely nicotine... AGH! Arkady pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head. I'll be getting a headache in 3... 2... 1... Yup... The young man growled an obscenity under his breath.

Mezzidok still looked curiously at him. Trying to insult him or ward him off can be hard because he doesn't know what an insult is or what trying to ward off is. "What's an encyclopedia? Where can I pick up a book on the subject? What is the subject? All I want to know is why your trying to quit." He said quietly, not liking to raise his voice.
It wasn't that he tried to pester people. But after being locked in a house, getting beat most of the time, then living a life in solitude learnign to control; your powers, your not gonna know much. He didn't let this fact get him down though, since he partly didn't understand it. He had seen cigarrettes before....but he had never had time to ask the question. Maybe htis guy didn't know either. When it was lighted it......Mezzidok turned into a small stream of mist, and floated up to the cigarrette, giving the small impression of smoke coming out of it. He then stopped, and turned normal again. "Is that what happens when it's lighted? Why is that bad?"

Michella looked back at Arkady hearing him talk back to her previous answer of going off alone. She did halfly want the company, but refused to take it, however her current situation, she felt oddly safer with Arkady then this new guy that appeared. She shot him weird glances everyfew seconds trying to figure out why he was acting like he knew nothing. It wasn't that hard to know about the world. Suspicions arose inside of her for him. "Well.. I guess we can figure out where we're going together. I mean, who knows what would happen if I havn't met you..." She instantly thought that she might be down this lonely road with this guy. SHe stayed quiest when he turned his attention to the guy with his questionable nature and started to worry about this guy as he reached and held to his nose. Is he okay? What is he doing that for? Her facial expression showed confusion and worry.

Arkady rolled his eyes at the oddball. "Look, I'm just - Gah!" The boy turning into a stream of mist was completely unexpected and caught the young man offguard. He could only stare and blink as the mist drifted towads his unlit cigarette, hung there for a second, then turned back into the strange little man. "Uh, yeah, that is what happens..." His voice was unusually subdued and lost its biting tone. "And uh, it's bad for your health - really bad. How can you not know this? There are anti-smoking adds and 'surgeons warnings' on everything that has even a hit of tobacco in its marketing..." Very odd. "Listen, uh, if you want to come with us, I guess that's ok, I mean, I don't have a problem with it..." he sputtered, unsure of what to say and cast his own questioning glance at the girl. Then his eyes suddenly widened and a small smile adorned his handsome features. "Oh, the name's Arkady by the way... How rude of me for not thinking of that sooner..."

Michella's mouth opened slightly seeing the boy turn into a stream of mist and go towards Arkady's face. How strange... this dude really hasn't go out much. He doesn't even know what a cigerette is? I'm really glad now that... Arkady came along. She said as she looked at Arkady again. "I really don't have a problem with it either... just, please don't turn into that mist again. That's really weird." She admitted to him and started to walk away still hearing Arkady talk and mention his name. I can't beleive I forgot my manners, but I kinda did have a reason to. After all, we are now aquainted strangers. She turned around as she walked slowly. "Michella... or you can call me Missy." She folded her arms up and stopped walking for a moment turning around. "Is there any way of finding the main road faster? I'd like to get back, but I mean..." If it wasn't for being TOTALLY lost in an area that I have no idea where I was, I'd teleport around, but then... It would really tire me out. Next time I need to bring a compass or something.

Mezzidok looked at him, not knowing what a surgeon or tobacco was. He was about to fire off about a dozen more questions when she mentioned Cassis. He had heard of it...and scented it. She wanted to find it so....it peeked his curiosity. he got down on all fours, tiger instincts kicking in. He scented the ground. Street litter, that cigarrettes smell...then....fire, water, chemicals, burn, fear scents....they pinted toward Cassis. He stalked toward it, not waiting for the others. His extra smell made finding people or anything possible. He was also curious. While curioisty killed the cat, cats had nine lives right? Right.....answer me!

(OOC: Yikes. Sorry I took so long I kinda forgot this thread existed ^^; Doh) "Michella... have we met somewhere before?" Arkady said, something his memory sparked by her name. Ugh. It sounded like he was trying to hit on her; he quickly said, "I mean, it's not like your name's all that common, and you do seem a bit familiar..." But whatever had been sitting just out of reach at the tip of his mind was abruptly snatched away when the odd boy suddenly began sniffing around on the ground. "Hey! What the... What are you doing? Uh, are you okay?" (OOC: Ph34r my short post of doom!)

He ignored the boy, not really hearing him. His instincts had taken over. He kept sniffing, using the scent of gifted to guide him. His claws clacked on hte ground, and little fangs began to grow in. They guided him toward the shcool. Eventually he came upon the gates ,just looking at them, not sure if the others followed him It had been long, deefinitely since htye had been lost, but their was probaly no nose better than his. He sniffed in once more, standing up, seeign it carried the scents of gifted.
