Tiffany looked up to Laodice with tears welling up in her eyes. She was afraid he wouldnt make it... She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, not wanting the tears to spill over and ruin her eyeshadow. He was here now..that was all she needed to think about now. She smiled as she saw his outfit. "Snazzy.." She said with a finger touching a chain on his outfit. She suddenly felt self conscious about her outfit and a hand went up to smooth a part of her hair, that held an imaginary loose strand. She smiled shyly. She stepped back and held out her arms." How do you like my costume?" She asked twirling in a circle. She looked into the ballroom and smiled brightly at the number of people that had shown up. They all seemed to like the decorations, she had worked so hard on. She looked back over to him. "Want to go in and have some fun?" She asked him nervously as she playfully put her mask up in front of her face and grinned. She wondered if Laodice knew how to dance..

Laodice looked at Tiffany nervously, admiring how the blue on her dress went well with her eyes. "You look good," he said, "I don't look nearly as fantastic. None of the decorations here compare." He smiled and laughed slightly, looking down to the floor. He looked back up and smoothed out his outfit. "You really do look great," he said, "but I don't feel like I fit in." Laodice spread his arms to show his outfit. The cloak didn't seem to mingle with the fancy surroundings. He looked past Tiffany into the room and looked around at all the differnet people. "Of course I'd like to go in," he said, "It's hard to dance in the entrance."

Tiffany giggled. "You look fantastic...to me.." She said softly as she took his hand. "It is hard to dance when you are standing in a doorway..Let's change that shall we?" She laughed as she pulled him onto the dance floor. She passed by couple that was dancing like their lives depended on it. Her laughter rang out. She was so happy that this was turning out as good as it did. She kept ahold of Laodice's hand as she began to dance to a fast-paced song. She spun to face away from him as she dipped and twisted to the beat of the song. She watched the lights on the dancefloor as they pumped out lights according to the song. She was so happy to have that hand in hers. She had a light grip on, so if he wanted to let it go to dance he could.

Laodice floowed Tiffany to the dance floor and started to dance. When she turned, her hair fell into his face for a moment. There was something about being that close to her that made him feel a strange cooling sensation run through his veins. He looked up at the lights and how they reflected off of Tiffany's brightly-colored hair. He hoped he didn't look like a fool dancing like this and was glad she wasn't looking at him. "When you were younger, did you ever wish you could fly?" Laodice asked, "It's a common dream of most small children. I know I wished I could." Laodice kept dancing waiting for Tiffany's reply.

Her dancing faltered as she turned to him, she let go of his hand because she wasnt turning that way and didnt want to twist his arm. "Did I ever wish I could fly?" Just as she asked the question the songs changed to a slow beat. Perfect timing for her to answer the question. She made a motion, asking without words if she could move closer to him for the slow dance. " I wished that I could take off..Feel the air passing by quickly as I left my life behind, to see what the sunset looked like from up there, instead of down here...Wished I didnt have the worldly restraints bestowed upon humans in general..I wished that I could disappear." She looked into his eyes as she said that. "You dont know what I would give for a power like yours.." She looked to the floor. "I had always wondered what it would be like to be someone else. Maybe I would be happier..Maybe I would be sadder than I already was. Maybe I would be less alone.." She sighed. She had been rambling on, so she went back to the subject at hand."Flying would be like being set free. Free from the worries of your life and the troubles that you know are just waiting around the corner of tomorrow..." She paused. "Why do you ask?" She asked it she realized then, a little belatedly. It was weird to ask why someone asked you something after you had already answered the question they asked. " If you had a chance to be someone else? If even for a day...or..forever..Would you take the chance? Would you change your powers for something else? Or could you be content to be what you are..who you are..where you are...with me?" She asked hesitantly.

"Why do I ask?" Laodice said, "Well, one of my dreams since I was young was to make one dream come true. I hoped you had one that I could help with." At that, the gravity lowered, lifting them off of the floor. A floating, black disc appeared below them as a levitated dance floor. Laodice just smiled and continued dancing. "And as for your question," he said, "there's nothing, no one, and nowhere I'd rather be than here right now. You light up the room, you know. Before you, I traveled blind. It's nice to see where I'm going again. And where I am."
