She was bored, and wanted to do something, so what does any self respecting girl do? Go to the mall! She laughed at herself, how typical could she be? Hadn't the nymphs warned her of being just like everyone else? Alas, she would not heed them in this one...At a sharp meow from the cat on her shoulder, Aridia had to lift her hand and pet Eve. Such a spoiled little thing she'd become, oh well, Aridia didn't care, she loved Eve.

Tiffany walked down the street, curious as to what everyone was up to today. She sighed. She missed Laodice greatly already. "Foolish girl..putting false hope on a dream you know will not come true." She chided herself. She shrugged and glanced around. "Oh, look at the cat!" She looked at the person that the cat was using as a perch. "Hello..."

Killian whistled softly at the white bird perched on his shoulder, which nuzzled his cheek in response. Reaching up and stroking the little bird on the head with his thumb, Killian glanced around the mall, almost out of boredom. What was he doing here, anyway? This was the mall. But then again, he never experienced being with friends at the mall before, not that he had any friends anyway.
Sighing, Killian lowered his hand to his side and ran his other hand through his hair. Spotting a bench, he walked towards it, stepping past a girl with a kitten on her shoulder. Putting a hand over the little bird, just in case, Killian hurried by, bumping into her slightly. Muttering an apology, he sped off towards the bench, finally plopping down onto it and lowering his hand.

Tiffany watched the boy walk by with a small bird on his shoulder. Am I the only one that doesnt have a pet? She wondered morosely as she saw him sit on a bench. So far the girl had yet to say anything to her, so she wasnt sure if she should even try to talk to the boy. A little sad and a lot lonely, she sat down on a different bench. She kept herself occupied in her own way. Her eyes flashed and glazed over to an icy complexion. The water in the air began to condense and form into droplets. She gathered the drops together by waving her hand slightly. It formed a small ball. She smiled slowly as the ball formed a small bird. She made it move its wings and beak and flutter in front of her. It was a hummingbird, beautiful blue and clear. She froze it suddenly and stuck out her hand. It fell and hit her palm, breaking off a leg of the ice statue. She frowned. "Never as good as the real thing it seems." She muttered as she let the statue melt and the water flowed through her fingers. She sighed heavily and sat back to watch the boy with the bird. It was not an often occurence that you would see such a thing.

Dementia, though it seemed contrary to her seemingly anti-social personality, constantly frequented the mall. She always had an angry look on her face--the look of someone trying to fill a bottomless pit. Due to the nature of her powers, she always had horrible clothes problems. The shirt that she was wearing, in fact, was punctured and patched in multiple places, including the fresh holes that were formed by sharp, elongated shoulder blades that jutted out from both shoulders. They held up six heavy bags of clothing. She looked like a walking, frustrated closet, and generated quite a few amused stares. She greeted them with narrowed eyes. Dementia deplored shopping. It had become a chore: to find clothes, make sure they fit, to buy them. It had been repeated over and over and over again so many times that it was almost impossible to find any enjoyment in the hunt now.
Dementia sat down on a bench where Tiffany was playing with water, across from the one Killian occupied, so that she could rest her legs. She accidentally poked her with one of her protruding bones and, embarrassed and expecting quite a yelp, avoided Tiffany's glance. She murmured an apology. As she did, jer eyes caught the sight of Killian's bird, and she blinked a few times. Generally birds belonged outside. Then again, cats usually weren't brought into malls, either, but she had passed one of those as she walked to the bench. Strange people, strange place... strange pets.

She smiled at the girl, and murmered a hello. She gasped slightly when she was bumped into, so busy was he? You okay? She asked the boy, berating herself momentarily for ignoring the girl who had first spoken to her, then again she wasn't used to being with humans and didn't understand them.
Eve sighed and shook her head, would Aridia ever understand anything. She lept off her mistress and trotted to the human girl. Hello. Sorry she's a bit rude, she hasn't been with humans in somewhere around eleven years. Eve told the girl through the mind link that she could establish with anyone she wanted to.

((thank you! ^.^))
Tiffany jumped slightly when the cat strolled up to her. She almost fell off the bench when the cat starting talking to her. Well not exactly talking, but somehow she heard the cat. "Umm..Well she wasnt rude..and why hasnt she been around humans for that long?" She asked genuinely curious. She stifled a gasp when something poked her. She blushed furiously when she realized that there was someone sitting beside her. She had been so quiet. Did she hear me talking to the cat? She covered her face with her hand. "Oh dear.." She peeked over to the girl. "Oh , its okay..Probably my fault.." She whispered. "My name is Tiffany...by the way. " She told the cat. And maybe for the sake of the girl next to her too..but she wasnt sure if the girl would even listen to her.

Killian watched in interest as the girl across from him made a hummingbird out of ice. Smiling lightly, he whistled softly. From somehwere above him, two small hummingbirds flew around eachother in what looked like a dance, and Killian put out both his hands in front of him. A hummingbird landed on each forefinger. Whistling again, the small birds zoomed off his finger and flew towards the ice girl, fluttering around her head, eventually landing on her shoulder.
Frowing slightly, Killian stood and watched as the girl talked to the cat in front of her. Hopefully the cat didn't have a taste for small birds. Reaching up and petting the white bird on his shoulder, he walked towards the girl, who now had another person sitting beside her. Walking past the girl with the cat, again, he heard her question and looked at her. "Don't worry. It's my fault. Wasn't looking where I was going..." He smiled shyly, extending a hand to her. "My name's Killian."

Dementia's eyes flickered to the corner of her vision, giving Tiffany a sideways glance as she heard the introduction. "I'm Dementia," she automatically answered with a clear, emotionless voice, not really bothering to decide whether or not the introduction was entirely directed towards her. No other words came out of her mouth. She sat, rather uncomfortably, straight-backed against the bench, not knowing what else to say.
It seemed that the bench she had chosen had become the center of attention. Little birds were now buzzing around Tiffany's head, and consequently were in the vicinity of hers, as well. She turned and watched, fascinated, at the blurred, beating wings, her eyes absorbing every flicker of motion.
Then she sneezed, a violent sneeze, disrupting the peaceful sensation of the fleeting moment. The tiny birds now residing on Tiffany's shoulder were probably quite frightened at the sudden outburst. She rubbed her itchy, reddening eyes, looking for the cause, and sneezed again just as she found it.
"That cat!" she burst out suddenly, a yell that seemed quite out of character for her. She pointed an accusing finger at the thing and shrunk back, her protruding shoulder blades scraping up against the bench. All the bags of clothes slid off of it and spilled out onto the floor.
Dementia didn't notice. She started frantically searching on her person for her inhaler, digging into various pockets in her cargo pants. Cringing from the pain the motion brought on with the unnatural placement of her shoulder blades, she slid the bone out from under her skin without the usual warning that she used in case someone was squeamish. It came out with streaks of blood; some of the red liquid was now oozing from the open wound in her arm. Cells multiplied immediately to fill the gaping hole, covering it first with a thin, transparent film that slowed the bleeding, then built up layers of skin until all that could be seen of the wound was the pale pink of new skin. Wheezing, she threw the long, ivory bone looking like an elephant tusk onto the floor near her clothes, rolled her shoulder with a sickening crack, and dug into the only pocket she hadn't checked. Dementia finally pulled out the small inhaler with shaky hands, steadied herself, and then took a deep puff, feeling the medicine work immediately to loosen her closing airways. A few people had stopped to stare; one young boy was gawking at the bloodstreaked bone on the floor with an expression that looked like a mixture of utter disgust and fascination.
"I'm... extremely... allergic... to cats." she murmured in pathetic explanation for her performance. She was blushing hard, trying not to look, especially, at the girl who owned the cat.

Tiffany grinned when the hummingbirds landed on her shoulders. She caressed the air in front of them afraid that if she touched them they would fly off. She looked over at Killian. She smiled warmly to him, thankful that he had taken the consideration to make the birds her company. She jumped when Dementia sneezed quite violently. "Are you okay??" She asked worried. She had never heard such a sneeze. She saw that she was having an allergic reaction to the cat. "Umm, I think we might want to finish this conversation just a little farther away from her..She seems to have a bad reaction to you.." She mummered. She heard Killian talking to Aridia, who just so happened to be the owner of the cat. She stood up and turned to Dementia. "I will get the cat away..of course only if you agree that is a good idea." She said the last part to the cat. She couldnt force the cat to do anything it didnt want to. She blushed slightly when she realized that she had talked to the cat openly in front of Dementia. Oh, lord..now she probably thinks I am insane..

Killian smiled back to the girl, then flinched when the girl next to her sneezed extremely violently. The hummingbirds, startled, bolted from the girl's shoulder and zoomed around Killian's head, panicking. The white bird on his shoulder chirped angrily, also being startled, and soon enough, all the birds were flying around his head. Waving his hand impatiently, Killian whistled sharply, and the hummingbirds flew away from him while the white bird settled back on his shoulder. Eyeing the hummingbirds, Killian watched in interest as the hummingbirds made their way back to the girl with the ice.
Walking towards the two girls, Killian tilted his head slightly and raised a hand apologetically, and smiling lightly. "The birds freak out sometimes." He said simply, looking at the girl who had sneezed. "Are you alright?" He asked, putting his hands in his pockets. The hummingbirds were now zooming around the Tiffany's head as she stood. Killian shook his head and gave another apologetic look. "My name's Killian. Nice to meet you. Both."

Dementia sniffed and rubbed her nose with a frown, listening to Tiffany's offer. "Of course it's okay with..." she started, but stopped in mid-sentence when she realized that the request was not directed towards her. She blinked, confused, turning to look at Tiffany full in the face for the first time. Her slightly misted, whitewashed blue eyes held the look of a single question mark as she scrutinized Tiff's face.
"Were you just...?" She let her sentence trail off with a halfhearted point of a finger towards the cat in question. Suddenly her facial expression changed, her lips spread into a slight smirk, and she rolled her eyes. "Never mind." She chuckled as she turned around with a shake of her head.
By then she had just realized Keegan's presence, and with it the birds' frenzy calmed infinitesimally, but still just enough to notice. She turned and met his glance with a glance that seemed still amused.
"My name is Dementia, and I'm fine," she broke off her sentence and threw a sharp glance to the cat. "...for now."
She absentmindedly kicked at the bags of clothes that had since spilled their contents onto the floor, pushing the discarded ivory bone across the linoleum floor with a clatter with a sigh. She bent over to start gathering them back together. As she worked, she spoke.
"Although, you know, I can't really return the favor and say it was so nice to meet any of you all," she added as an afterthought with a pensive look on her face. "You seem to have too strong of a stomach for me." She was smiling, but the look in her eyes as she glanced up through her lashes at the faces above her was darkly mischievous.
"Hand me that, will you?" She was pointing to the curved bone just out of reach of her fingertips, not wanting to use the extra effort to get up and retrieve it. Her tone was as if she was asking for a glass of milk to be passed across the table. "I kicked it out of the way too far."
