Ven was in the woods, lounging on a branch, his back against the trunk. He was contemplating recent events. It had been so long since he had felt what it was like to be human, to have actually meaningfull emotions, emotions that didn't get exagerrated by his instincts. It was feeling that he couldn't seem to forget, not that he wanted too.
The he had anoyther feeling he couldn't seem to forget. Maeve. It was strange, as much as he liked being human, for some reason he found himself attracted to her. Because he was friends with carmela he was attempting to find some excuse inside his serpentine instincts, however no clear cut reason seemed to come up.
He looked down at his chest, where his python Amare lay, his coils around ven's shoulders.
"Your lucky you know." He said, looking the snake straight in the eye.
"Don't have to deal with all these emotions."

Mezidok creeped around the forest, tiger instincts jumping in. He had heard about dorms in Cassis. He remembered being in them, and frankly, too cramped for a tiger's liking. Well...he wasn't a tiger but havign a sabretooth inside you gave the natural wild feline instincts. How would he catch prey in there? He thought he could make a....nest? A camp here? Sure, he didn't know what eyeliner or a cigarrette was, he but did know what a camp was. He hardly knew what anything was.
Even emotions. He soon got on all fours, claws placed out gently in front of him. He took in the scents. Mouse...vole....sweet scents of prey. He made sure he was downwind as he was creeping up on a mouse, moving silently closer. He used his power over sound to make sure no soundwaves left his vicinity. He changed his form with sand, shrinking himself in a sense. He needed no disturbances. This prey was his.....

Speaking of Maeve, or thinking of her if you will, she strolled casually through the forest. Why? For the sake of getting away from all the annoying people. Carmela, for once was left ungaurded in her dorm sleeping and cuddling with Monty the Chinchilla. Yes, Yes, Maeve was alone for once. For the past few days she was always surrounded by people. Now, it was just her and the trees. Or so she figured.
She walked with out care, humming a soft and sweet tune as she strolled. Black boots crushed twigs and leaves beneath them with every step. Her red skirt, with the shorter black shorts and matching red top seemed to make her more obvious. This was good for her in case a hunter might feel the need to shoot something, they wouldn't shoot her.

Ven's nostrils pricked up at Maeve's scent. Hiswhole body seemed to jerk upwards when she entered his feild of scent. He quickly followed the scent, remaining amongst the tree tops, attempting to keep hidden wheil he almost flew through the leaves and branches, Amare still wrapped around his shoulders.
He eventually found her, and remained up in his tree. He sat with his hands and the souls of his feet all touching the branch, crouched over so that he could still move if he had too.
But for the time being all he did was remain hidden amongst the leaves, watching her with both curiosity and desire. It was funny, he had never really "liked" anyone besides His old girlfriend Ariel. Yet here he was watching the girl who had recently threatened one of his few friend. How ironic.

Rustles of leaves and twigs snapping scared away the prey. He growled, as he knew all his chances of catching any prey now was useless, probaly scared away by the human. In a sense, Mezzidok had no idea what was going on. It was like a blank in his memory. Instincts were so natural, he didn't realize how abnormal they were. But other than that, he had no idea how to keep the insticnts under control. Sometimes, he felt something was wrong, and he wanted it to go away, but it stayed. It gnawed in his mind...destroying him slowly. He would soon become a human with all tiger or sabretooth tiger instincts. Either he needed someone to keep his instincts under control, or everythign would shatter.
He figured if someone scared away the prey, they stole it, and he;d find that person. He stalked quietly through the bushes, waiting, looking. He found the girl. She was so noisy, badgers would hear her from miles. He hid in a bush, still in the size of a little bigger than a cat, waiting to strike, and kill the enemy.

She walked along, not really paying any mind to the rustling leaves about, still walking. It was obvious she didn't care what was lurking in the woods, or even if she wasn't completely alone. To Maeve there was just her and the trees right now and that was all that mattered. Her humming changed to a slow and somewhat tragic song, carried by the soft occasional breezes. She meant no harm by her noise, merely didn't think to much about it.
" There is something in the way You're always somewhere else Feelings have deserted me To a point of no return I don't believe in God But I pray for you"
As she sang she seemed to be singing out of instinct and came off a little half-aware of what she was doing. No, not for the fact she liked to sing, nor the fact she could sing. But for the fact it was something to do in a almost scary-silent forest.

Ven continued to follow Maeve, clinging to the tree-tops, hopefully remaing unseen. When new odor attached itself to his nostrils. Some new mammal had entered the scene. having been in forests where mammals had been overly large, and judging by the fact the scent couldn't tell him the creatures size, he swiftly jolted over to the side of the path Maeve was tacking where he smelled the creature. If the animal so much as moved in her direction he'd see how much poison he could pump into it before it simply exploded of over hydration.
He was very carefull to remain silent. For the momment he didn't want Maeve to know he was there. After all as far as she knew he was just another thing to be hated, something that sides with carmela over her. He didn't need that kind of stress at the momment.

Mezzidok stayed in human form. He remained quiet, but used his powers just in ase. He stalked Maeve, wanting to replace her with the prey he lost. He followed her scent, keeping to the bushes. Then a rancid odor filled his nostrils. Punguent...snakes? He had once seen one. A simple garden snake and he was able to ward it off with a hiss. This was different though....it smelled of...the human smell like Maeve. Maybe they were together. He pushed it away and kept walking. After the girl had finished singing, he seized his chance and punced, clkaws longer than other times, ready to sink into his new prey. He became his regular size again, no longer small.

" Dumb cat!" Grumbled Maeve as she went intangible and the cat passed through her. She chuckled at it, stepping back a bit and smirked at the creature. Mezzidok didnt' seem to understand something, Maeve could avoid damage by phasing through him every. single. time.
" Once more I am attacked by something when I have done nothing. How rude." The girl shook a finger at Mezzidok with a laugh again.

Ven flew from the tree, his legs kicking off like a frog, sending him hurtling foreward, just to the side of Maeve, as not to hit her, but at such an angle that he would definetly collide with whatever had pounced. As he hurtled through the air scales rippled over him, begining at his face and working backwards so that it seemed like they were flowling over him, occasionally sticking to him.
He eventually landed literally an inch away from Mezzidock, every muscle in his body tensed, ready to move wreck the small creature at any movement more than his sides moving from breathing. His now clawed hands remained quivering, poised just inches above mezzidocks body, his body was down so low he was almost sitting on his ankles. His head was looking down at the creature, his eyes darting over it erratically, looking for any motion.

Mezzidok growled angrily when she dissapeared, then the snake scent he found earlier appeared. A man with snake capabilites....This would need work. Snakes were dangerous. He had taken a garden snake, but this was different. And this thing had the same sense he had, perhaps equal to his.....
Mezzidok growled, fangs starting to grow in where normal teeth would be. He let out a hiss of defiance and had an idea. He would use all his powers at once to eradicate her sense, thus, not knowing when they enemy came or where it is, he'd kill him. Certain frequencies of sound zoomed in around him, making the ears not able to hear a sound, making him deaf in a way. He crushed mineral in the ground with some sand, making new sand. It zoomed up, heading for his nostrils. If that sand connected, he'd cut out his sense of smell. Then mist started to move in around him and her, from everywhere. The whole forest was filled with mist. While they could see, it wouldn't be much with mist this heavy. It was near perfect. Cancelling out sight was one thing. If somwone, such as this snake, could hear or smell it, it'd be fine. But no hearing made it less of a chance for snakes and humans. And with sand covering the nostrils, humans or snake would have an extremely diffucult time and could not pick up a distinctive scent. He would wait, using his instincts tell him when to strike.

As the sand reaced towards her and the msit filled the air, she again sighed. Going back to an intangible state she stood there allowing the Sand to pass through her and the mist to do the same. She stayed like this, plan, simple and calm. She stood, arms crossed and annoyed that the creature still seemed to think he could attack her with such pitiful techniques. Her ears rang as the sound filled them but she could handle a headache.
She had seen a large creature land just near Mezzidok, curious as to what it was she stepped towards the two dark shadow outlines of both Mezzidok and Ven. Currently, she was unaware that the scaley creature was the boy she had met only recently.

Ven chuckled maniacly. "You clearly know nothing of snakes." He hissed, amuzed but still angry beyond belief.
"Snakes don't smell with their noses. they use their mouths. There is a special organ on the roof of my mouth. as long as I can get air into my mouth, that organ can tell me whether or not a creature is warm blooded, what they smell like, vene based on those two factors how far away they are from me in some cases. Now I give you the option. We can play cat and mouse, and see how much our newly found thingy cat likes to be a mouse, you can be a good little cat and just leave, or we can see right now how much venom your body can hold. I personnaly suggest the second, but the again I only enjoy living." His voice was filled with strange serpentine hiss that seemed to hit people like cold water, an immense anger, and intense disdain for the mammal that was causeing this.

Maeve spotted the scale covered Ven, finally able to see him as best she could. Still in an untouchable state she walked closer with great care. She didn't want to sneak up on him and so she made her prescence known the only way she could, saying or doing something that only she could probably do. She stood behind him and folded her arms over own chest, Taking in the sight fully. He hadn't changed much, just covered in green scales. Are those...Claws? Her brain danced with glee.
" Oh, those could be really fun." She said smiling in a very devilish manor as to make sure he knew exactly what she meant. Leaning to the side a little she appeared to be watching Ven, forgetting that Mezzidok was even there for a brief minute. Her lips had parted a bit to reveal her teeth and were pulled into a slight smile with one brow slightly raised.

Ven grinned as Maeve spoke to him.
"Hello Maeve." He responded his voice becoming slightly more dream-like.
"And belive me, they are." He said gleefully taking a step back so that was right next to her.
"And belive me on this too. While I would really anjoy a onversation right now, I'm not so sure that this is the most appropiate of situations. Shall we attempt to dith the kitty?" He asked her sarcastically, although he did mean what he said.
