A day out in the sun

[Chibi Ryuzaki]

~Damian sat out in the courtyard playing a little orb of light like he usualy did, it had beeb days since he had any real fun. He sat under a tree just barely in the shade wearing his usual outfit, the same one the teachers gripped at him about, but somehow he managed to gaet away with it, There realy wasn't anything to bad about it, all he had to do to stay out of trouble was button up his shirt, but he hated to do that, it made him feel restricted, but he was 21 he only went to class because there was nothing to do.~ "I...am....so....BORED!!" ~He thew his head back and smacked the tree, when he did that, the little orb of light got away. with a grin he yelled~"COME BACK HERE YOU" ~He took of at a lightniong fast speed chassing the orb across the courtyard.~ "You are a fast little devil arn't you?" ~After five minutes or so the orb came to rest at the feet of a lovely young woman.~

With a gentle smile, Chesna looked down at her feet where the orb had stopped. She had seen this boy chasing it around for a while until it finally had stopped at her. She just couldn't help but let out a small giggle. He seemed like he was having fun, and she hated to ruin it. But, with no classes to attend, she was bored as well and needed something do do. With the orb at her bare feet and it's creator in front of her, she couldn't keep herself from grinning. What a fun way to enjoy the day! She couldn't help but wish her powers would allow her to have such fun. "It does seem to be a fast little devil, doesn't it?" said her silken voice, hinted with a laugh. Carefully bending down, strands of golden hair falling at the sides of her face, Chesna made her attempt to pick up the orb herself.

~He looked up to see the most enchanting young woman he had ever seen. He gazed into her eyes, they seemed like balck holes oulling him in, but he managed to looked away in time to see that she was about to pick up the orb, that he had been trying to hard to get back.~ "NO, don't." ~With lightning fast reflexes he grabbed her soft and gentle looking hands before they could reach the orb.~ "I'm sorry, but you musn't touch it." ~He then oicked up the small orb and absorbed it back into his body. Still holding onto her hands, the then stood back up.~ "I'm Damian, Damian Miller by the way, my I have the pleasure of hearing your name?"

Chesna softly pulled her hand back, looking at him timidly, and smiled. "Chesna... Chesna Darwin," she said, her voice like a choir in itself. "So... why can't I touch that, Damian? Just what is it?" she asked, her eyes settled on his. The sun was brilliant today, and she had taken notice: she wore a simple, strapless dress today, showing off her shapely legs and shoulders. With her soft hair just brushing against her bare shoulders, the lovely blond color contrasted well against her healthy tan, as did the pale blue color of her dress. She couldn't help but notice just how... forward this boy was. Or perhaps he was just caring. That orb could have been very dangerous for her, and he may have saved her. But, she couldn't help but wonder if he was joking and had just wanted to touch her hand.

~e gave a smale smile~ "I'm sorry if I startled you Chesna, that I am. It is just that the orb is a fragment of my soul, and if you had touched it...~he thought for a second because he wasn't exactly sure what would have happened~ If you had touched it, you could have been possesed or the orb could have fractured." ~He patted the dirt of of his jeans and then looked at Chesna, a good look. Her beauty was captivationg, unlike any he had seen before.Something about her was drawing him in. Was it the softness of her skin? The angelic sound of her voice? Those ever-so shapely legs of hers or her hypnotic eyes? What ever it was, he was sure it would lead him down a familar path.~ "How long have you been at Cassis Chesna? I myself have only just arrived." ~He gave the warm smile of friendship.~

Chesna's smile widened. She was now glad that she hadn't touch the orb: what if she had broken his soul? Folding her hands in front of her, she was also happy that he wasn't mad at her for trying to pick up his soul. She couldn't imagine what would have happened if he had possessed her. It sounded like it would be a very intimate experience, and she definitely didn't want his soul in her body. She couldn't help but wonder though: why would he be playing with his own soul in the courtyard? Would he be risking breaking it that way?

"I've been in Cassis for a while, but I haven't gone to school here for very long, so I'm not very familiar with it. I remember what it was like when I first arrived though. It can be very overwhelming." She returned the warmth of his smile; her face was bright and cheerful, only making her more alluring.

~He felt him-selfbe pulled in even more.He held up his hand and a small orb sprouted from each of his finger tips, and disolved seconds later.~ "And I bet that you are thinking, if his soul could break like that why would he be playing around like that arn't you? It is amazing what one will do when you are bored. Well I don't attend classes. I'm just here to be of any help to the people if they ever needed it." ~He sniffed the air~ "What is that intoxicating scent you are wearing?"

Chesna watched gleefully as Damian sprouted the little souls from his fingertips and then returned them to his body. And then, when he answered her question, she couldn't help but wonder if he had telepathic abilities. None the less, she was impressed. "You must have such wonderful control over your powers. It's good to know that some one as strong as you must be is here to help. I can't do anything like that..." She glanced away for a moment, but then her eyes slowly returned to him when he asked about her 'intoxicating scent.' Chesna wasn't aware of any scent she was wearing. She had showered, but she hadn't used anything scented. She must have been confusing his senses: he didn't know of her seductive powers, so he was trying to find an outlet for the attraction he was feeling. That must have been it, she decided. Now, to embarrass him, or to play along? She would be nice. She'd play along.

"Gardenia. They're my absolute favorite flower, and they smell lovely. It's my favorite perfume. Thank you so much for noticing," she said brightly, her smile matching her voice.

"Gardenia? I havn't heard of it before, but I'll remember that." ~ He tore his eyes from hers, and lowered them to the ground.His hands held behind him.~ "So? What exactly are your powers? ~He was curious now, she was probly about the same age as him, so she must have probly mastered her abilities, what ever they were. For some reason the scent seemed to be getting slight stronger.~

"Well, my power is kind of silly, but... just listen." And Chesna began. She opened her mouth, and the most beautiful song in the most foreign language came from her. As she sang, Chesna also began to use her seductive powers. Any attraction that Damian had felt toward her would be amplified now, with her gorgeous song and her siren charms affecting him. Of course, her siren powers weren't noticeable. He would only think that he was falling in love. Chesna loved her powers because of that: they were subtle, yet effective. As she sang, she looked right in to his eyes. It was as if she spoke with them, saying, 'This song is just for you.' Her voice, even in this ancient siren language, was filled with pure emotion. It was enough to entrance any one.

~Damian fell to his knees as he heard a song that could rival any angels. His eyes still fixated upon her gaze. A orb came out of his back and went flying off to the dorms. Due to his hightened sense of hearing to song penitrated his senses even more, everything about her overtook him. The scent was stronger that ever, The sound of her voice left him intoxicated with feelings of love. The sight of her was to much that no words could give justice to. He reached out and held her hand, her gaze still pulling him in.~ "I am yours~he kissed her delicate hand softly~ for eternity." ~Just the touvh of her skin sent shivers down his spine. Every thing that he was belonged to Chesna now.~

~The small boy sat in the tree watching what had been happening, he waited to se what would happen next.~

Chesna's eyes widened as she saw the orb come from Damian's back, and she was in awe as he kissed her hand. She had never made any one do that before. She ended her song, though her seductive powers remained in effect, and smiled down at him. Her face was turning it's peachy shade of blush. She felt almost like a princess with Damian swearing himself to her.

"I'm honored," she said softly, allowing him to hold her hand this time. "Now, you see my power: I have the power of my voice. It isn't always that pretty. I easily could have deafened you by using it, but I thought that would be rude." She still allowed her siren wiles to run free through Damian. He seemed to be enjoying these feelings just as much, if not more, than Chesna was. She couldn't help but think that some people liked to feel this way. Love was a powerful emotion to feel. As she had proven, it could bring one to their knees. But, he was in no pain. Love brought joy and happiness, and Chesna was pleased to bring about joy and happiness.

~Damian heard what she said about making him deaf, but didn't care in the least. He knew that this..Angel would not harm him. He stilled gazed into her loving eyes. Then a single tear strolled down his cheek then another.~ " I am yours to do with as you please, mi amor. Say it and it shall be done."

~At this point the child had jumped down from the tree and made his way over to them. He wore his usual blue cloak. He then looked up at her and said.~ :Siren-class entity, powers not fully developed though, but still strong for her age." ~The boy then gave her the "once over" look.~ "You are Reza's daughter arn't you?"

Chesna's attention shifted from Damian to this new boy instantly as she heard him mention her mother's name. Her eyes instantly lost their brightness and, instead, seemed to flare with rage. She returned the boy's 'one over' with her own. Who did he think he was, pretending to know about the Siren race. "No, I'm not, actually," she said to him, her eyes still searching him. "Would you mind telling me just who you are, and why you're trying to classify me?"

Her eyes returned to Damian for a moment, only to noticed two tears escaping him. He was crying? Why? What emotion had brought these tears on? She decided to ignore the boy a bit longer and comfort the one who was dedicating himself to her. Leaning down in front of him, she gently used her finger to wipe the tears away. "Damian... what's wrong?" she asked, her voice a concerned whisper.

~The tears stopped when she touched him~ "Ne...Never in my life would I have believed that I could feel so....complete." ~He took her right hand into his, and then turned it palm up, and placed a ord into it,~ "As I said I am am your, in bod and soul. You may do with it as you wish; crush it, toss it away, return it, or even place it in a vile and wear it as a necklace....anything you wish." ~He then clossed her delicate hand ever so softly around the orb, he had made it so that touching it wouldn't break it or posses a person who touched it, unless the used force to do so.~

~The child watched still.~
