Dances and LEtting the night Settle [MOUSE]

Anthony brought Val to the courtyard, sure that this would be the perfect place to be with her. The dance was great, but the music was loud and it interferred with him talking to her. The music still could be heard, but it was at a low humm and still the beat of the drums could still give the quiet atmostphere, the rythm of the dance. He looked behind him at Val, taking her over to the bench, laying his drink on the seat, and still standing he looked around him at the earth around him. What a way to show off his powers. It was perfect.
"So, Val..What was that you were saying earlier? About my powers.. you wanted to know what they were?" He asked her, but remembered what she had asked. He just reasked to make a conversational starter. Outside, lightning bugs gave the courtyard a certain 'thing'. Almost magical in a way. He was glad to be near the earth. It made him feel so much better. now what to do? I have no Idea. I guess I'm making it up as I go along... Just don't make a fool out of yourself cowboy! With another thought, he sat down on the bench and messed with his shoes and unhooked his spurs, giving his feet the feeling like they weren't being squeezed. "That's much better!" He said and sat the spurs down on the bench, standing back up. Lets see... I got the drinks... I think that we should dance again?" He mentioned to her hearing a type of slow/fast song... The one that starts out fast, then gets slow. It was perfect timing in his situation.

Val watched the lightening bugs glow and smiled as she looked around the courtyard. It was probably oen of the more beautiful places at Cassis and she enjoyed coming here. She turned to him and watched as he removed the spurs and stood up, feeling a form of relief. With his question she smiled, stepping closer. Her feet were still bare and stepped gentle on the earth as she held a hand out for him to take. " Shall we?" She asked casually. She waited with great pleasentry as her hair grew longer and became slightly wavy instead of tightly curled. It fell now, just beneath her waist line.

" Yes, I was asking about your powers before. Now you might have a chance to show me." She stated calmly, that hand still waiting to be taken. Lavender eyes watched his every move, waiting to see what he would do next. Moonlight made her skin glow a bit as she looked patiently upon the handsome young man before her.

Anthony saw her move close to her as the music seemed to make her want to dance with him again. He was happy that she was still in the mood, and took the hand that she held out to him. With a smile he drew her in closer to him. "We - shall..." He said as he brought her close to him, letting the fast paced music move him, letting his hand grasp her waist again. "Well, my powers, my dear are just that. Power... the earth, is one of the most powerful elements, and as you can tell, it's made me what I am today." He said, letting his big head get in the way, bringing up his arm, showing off his muscle. "Well, it's not that big of a deal, but my powers can wait for the time being..." He told her as the tone of the music seemed to get a bit slower already. "I think the dj's going to sleep or something..." He pulled her closer to him.

She looked to his arm, and smiled a bit, knowing it seemed to be an ego thing. But, he was a guy and Valerie seemed to understand completely that he was proud of himself. Who wouldn't be if they looked that good? But feeling herself drawn closer she felt much happier than she had inside. They were mere inches from complete contact, and those inches were being screamed at by Valerie's mind. " You're right, your powers can wait. I like dancing." She stated quite simply.She laughed as he seemed to joke about the DJ falling asleep. " Remind me to thank him later." The girl said rather sweetly, making it seem apparent she was enjoying the close proximaty of the two.

Her hand once again found his neck and fingers once more began to play with the hair at the base of his head. Her body moved slowly, sensually, all in time with the music and with his movements. Strands of her hair would curl around her neck as if it was showing her affection. It was like the hair had a mind of it's own.

Anthony was a bit surprised that she didn't want to see his powers. It was something he was proud of. He noticed that she was laughing at his joke, giving him the big head again! Shaking his head, he could only but laugh at her saying to thank him later. "Well, there Little lady... It seems like your having the good time tonight!" He stated as he felt like he couldn't hardly keep it from her anymore. He wanted to kiss her so badly, but refrained from it just yet. He was a gentleman, and didn't like to kiss on the first 'date', but it seemed as if she was also asking for it. He could only take her actions and put them into use.

He felt her hands on his neck again, and then he knew that she was also probably thinking the same. His other free hand, reached around her waist as he pulled her body close to him, now touching. His eye's looked down to hers. If only she was taller... just an inch or two. I can do that... perfect... hold on, little lady... horsey going up! He thought to himself and moved his one hand away from her wait and held his hand out palm facing down to the ground and the earth beneath Val seemed to grow two inches, giving her a heighth adjustment. "That's... better!" He said and leaned in... if she moved closer to him, he knew it was welcomed. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

She felt herself brought very close to him and felt his body finally make contact against her own. Her stomach did a flip as she was raised a few inches and shocked at the fact she was now about eye level with him. " It is better." She returned the whisper as her hand pushed his head forward a bit more. Then, they met, a full gentle kiss from her soft lips on his own. Another hand fount his neck and wrapped around it, pulling him as close as she could.

This contact, she hadn't had a kiss in a few years. She hadn't felt the touch of a man in so long, she forgot how powerful a kiss was. How amazing it could feel to be close to someone, to hold them tight and embrace them. The feel was sensational and she didn't want it to end, not now. No!

Anthony nodded to her as she agreed to the height adjustment and found that she was just about an inch shorter than him. He didn't want her to be taller than him, now! He felt her hand wrap around his neck, and felt her body against him. Such a feeling... He felt his lips on hers. Such delicate flesh, yet something that is so desired. Wonderful night... Wonderful night, indeed! His thoughts was of nothing but her at that moment and didn't want to pull apart. Their bodies seemed to be in unison, so close together... so close, he could feel her heartbeat.
His gentle nature, being a gentleman, gave in letting the kiss end, but looking at her, he felt a sudden jump in his throat. He didn't let his hands move from around her. Still wanting her body to be as close to him as possible, he held on. He couldn't explain it, but his heart was racing and nothing could ruin this moment. "Val... Valerie.... Thank you for a wonderful night..." He told her and reached his hand down, lowering the earth back down to it's level and she was back to the height she was at previously. His eye's seem to gleam over with the lightning bugs flashes. "Do you want to head back in? I'm sure that your sister is wondering where you went to?"

He wasn't the only one feeling that lump in his throat, for she had a one of her own. She felt him break that kiss and almost wanted to hit him for endeing such a blissful moment. But it remained as bliss when she was lowered and still kept close. She looked up in a bit of shock as he mentioned her sister. She had forgotten about her for that moment of her own happiness. How selfish.[/i] Her mind shook a finger at Valerie for having done such a thing.

" I have to thank you for such a delightful night as well, Anthony." She said, a smile on her soft face. Her hair had shortened to it's tight curls and shoulder length and she looked to the doors, from the corners of her eyes. They slowly returned to his and seeemd a bit sad at the thought of leaving this beautiful moment in the past. " I should go back in, yes. I feel bad for leaving Roxanna alone with just Carmela. I hope she is handling it wll." The idea of her sister breaking down flew through Valerie's mind and she felt more guilty than she had before." I feel guilty, selfish. I left her alone for my own pleasure. I'm all she has, and I left without so much as a word. Like they did. I don't want to sound like I hate what happened, in fact...I loved it. I haven't kissed anyone in so long, but. I can't believe that I left her." It was a sound moment as she said what was supposed to be thought. She didn't even know she had said it as she looked sadly down at her hands.

It was an amazing night, but she had felt so bad for not saying anything to her sister about where they were going. Now she wondered if her sister was alone, looking for her, feeling lost. They had always been together since the Faust parents had passed away. Always together, Val being the mommy-figure and Roxanna the youngest fallowing her like a shadow. It hadn't bothered Val, but it had consumed her life. Caring for a sister had taken away from having relationships, even scared people away from her. Now she found someone who didn't care and wanted to spend more personal time with him but feared making her sister sad.

Anthony nodded to her, letting his hands meet on her back together. His thumbs rubbed her spine as he watched her eye's. Something about her lavender eye's caught him in a trance. It seemed to keep him at bay with her, until she shortened her hair again. He let one of his hands find the curls, running his finger through it. "Well, we don't have to go back in of course, if you want to stay here, we can..." He started to shake his head, hearing her self downing words. It shouldn't make her sad that she was actually enjoying herself, but she did regret it already.
Anthony took her hands and put it up to his face and kissed it gently. "VAl... She'll be fine. She's probably having such a good time, she doesn't even know your gone!" He didnt know how to console her, but with the truth that he thought was. "WHo left without a word? Your parents?" He asked. He could relate to that. His parents didn't want to take care of him when he was little and was forced to live with his aunt and uncle. If that's what she was talking about, then he would be able to console her. His eye's looked into her, and his hand reached under her chin to lift it up. "Val...?"

He never would know how right he was about Roxanna. She had watched for only a little while from a window, a smile on her face. And then, disappeared as soon as she had come. It was just to make sure her sister was happy. At this point, Roxanna was not what Val needed. Valerie needed contact with other people other than her beloved sister.

" Yes. They died, it wasn't their fault. Sorry, I just get a bit worried about her. I'm all she has, you know." Val laughed softly at how pathetic she thought she was being. Feeling his soft kiss on her hands she smiled, feeling her chin lifted so she could look at him made her smile a bit more. Please, let him be right. Let Roxanna be having fun and not worring about me.[/i] Her thoughts ran along on that set of tracks. The worry wanted to melt away, all of it.

" I'm sure you're right. This isn't generally what I'm like. I'm really sorry." She laughed softly at herself. Appologising for nothing. Prehaps it was to feel some form of resolution, she didn't know. A hand reached up, settling on his cheek softly. Her thumb proceeded to brush against it soothingly, a smile on her face. " Thank you, though." She said warmly. Her lavender eyes sparkled a bit as she felt a bit better standing here with him.

"I'm so sorry... Val, about your parents..." Anthony comforted her, his words were mellow and meaningful, but inside he could only wish that upon the parents that abandoned him. How does all this happen. A wonderful girl like Val, looses her parents tragically, but with him, his parents abandoned him and he could only wish the death upon them. "I wish I was lucky enough to have someone to look after me after my parents split... It would have made it more easier on me, but If I did have someone, i never would have discovered my powers..." He paused a minute to think. "and I never would be here with you right now, enjoying the dance and a wonderful evening. "No need to be sorry..." He told her, feeling her chilled thumb on his cheek. He put his hand on top of hers and massaged her hand, then moved his face closer to her. "I hope I'm right too..." He said as he kissed her cheek again, looking into her eye's. "I really want you to be happy, I think you deserve it!"

" You're sweet." She said softly as he kissed her cheek and gave her a little complement. She smiled softly, still keeping her hand in place on the side of his face.cciee " What will happen after this?" She wondered outloud, not really noticing she had said it at all. She thought about what wouldhappene between the two of them. I wonder if I'll ever see him after this? Will he acknowledge what happened here tonight?[/i] Thoughts like this were driving young Valerie up the wall and she hated it beyond all belief. She hoped they would talk again, would kiss, would embrace in such a manor as they had in this very courtyard.

Her lavender eyes settled on him once more as they had drifted to the side in thought. She didn't want to move from this spot. She wanted to stay like this a little longer. To be in the company of Anthony, the boy who had danced with her, kissed her, held her and was even trying to comfort her. " Can we stay here a little while longer?" She asked softly, as if she were nervous or scared to be refused.

Anthony shook his head to her comment on him and watchd as she smiled. It seemed like heaven was shining on him. Her face lit up slightly, which made him feel better about being around her. "I'm not sure... What you mean by that? AFter the dance... or after this night?" He asked. He also wanted to know about that daunting question that would only reveal it's self in due time. If he wasn't going to speak up, than the future might look grim being around her, or not being around her. THe night was perfect for him. Coming to the dance single... and already he found himself someone that he would most like to get to know better. Besides, the kiss pretty much meant something already. He agreed with a nodd to her wanting to stay and he moved out of her embrace and pulled her to a bench sitting down. He wanted to enjoy the rest of the night with her. Would she want to? He patted the seat next to him and held his hand out to her.

She took his hand in her slightly chilled one and stepped over to the bench, sitting beside him. He didn't have to ask her to stay for the rest of the night,she'd probably agree to most anything at this point. He was enjoyable to be around, made her feel a bit more like a human. She looked up as he answered her question with another. " I mean after this night, after the dance. What will happen? Will we continue to run into each other on purpose? Will we never speak again? What?" Valerie spoke a little unsure of how this may come off. She didn't want him to think she disliked the boy, on the contrary, she liked him a lot more than he probably knew.

" I like being with you, so I was curious what would happen." Valerie spoke still in a bit of a nervous manor. How stupid she probably sounded to him. Asking such stupid questions and making herself look desperate. This bothered her, however, pale eyes fell on the boys face to see his reaction. The inquired in silence just what he was thinking.

Anthony felt her cold hand in his, after she sat down he draped his arm around her pulling her nearer to him, allowing her to make her self comfortable. "After tonight... I'd like to get some sleep... and then dream I'm with you... then I would probably most likely find you tomorrow, and see what your up to..." He said causally as he let his hand cover her frozen one. He rubbed his index finger over her knuckles, and leaned back letting himself be more comfortable. "and How about we do something... like go to the cafe or, meet at the lake. I'm sure that would be a great place to get to know each other better. THat's what I'd like... To get to know more about you!"
The night sky was sparkling with the few stars that could be seen from the cloud cover and the lightning bugs had finally taken their leave and the lights were no longer seen. "I was just as curious as you, Val..." He retorted to her, making sure that he wasn't some regular guy expected a night full of bliss then never seen again. He really meant that he wanted to spend more time with her. "So... Now that we're out here... Alone and everything... what more is there to do?" HE asked, the music at the dance was now starting to slow down again.
