"Well this place was rightly named." Muttered Faye, kicking an invisable rock. Sitting criss-cross on the ground, Faye closed her eyes and tilted her cap down so that a shadow flickered around her face.
Leaning back, palms pressed againest the ground, Faye's stomach was exposed as her short pink jacket rose up. "Ah, the sun feels bless full." Faye sighed. Ever since she had met Crest, Faye had gotten herself into nothing but trouble. "Perhaps I should just ban people altogether and just stick to befriending no one but myself." Shrugging, Faye let her hands slip and her body slide down againest the floor.

Caynce sat alone on an old bench, holding an umbrella up over his head. Gray eyes were closed halfway as he sat completely still, not daring to make a move in fear of feeling pain. The boy almost looked dead, his pallid face showing an apathetic expression, his other hand sitting limply in his lap. There wasn't even the slight shaking of his hand that most people found uncontrollable, it seemed lifeless as the rest of his body did.
Caynce blinked very slowly, his eyes closed for a while minutes before he reopened them with an even more agonizingly slow pace, allowing them to adjust to the light. Soon they were halfway open, or, for some negative people, halfway closed, just like they were before. Caynce was able to look around even so, seeing Faye and a few other people. One group he even knew, remembering that last week he had to do their homework before they threatened to kill him.
Giving a tiny sigh, the only movement was his slightly parted lips, he remained silent once more.

Letting out a groan, "I cant go on like this. Its pathatic!" Pushing herself up, Faye tugged at the corner of her gloves, and pulled her hip huggers down a bit more before poking her hat back up. /Whoa, talk about lone grey clouds. He looks as distant from the world as I am poor.\ Scuffleing over towards the bench, Faye stuck the tips of her fingers into her small pockets, "Is it suppose to rain today?" She asked Caynce, nodding to the umbrella.

Caynce said nothing at first, not even realizing the unidentified object before him was a human being asking him a question. Unblinking, he played back the question in his mind, thought about the answer, and then replied. "No." It took him forever (actually, it was just a few seconds, but it really shouldn't take someone that long to answer a yes or no question) to give her the answer, as though he had to put some actual thought into it, but that was Caynce.
For some reason, he could let his mind wander away and dream up silly things very easily, but when it came to reality and questions, it always took him a while to find the answer. It was strange, because he guessed people always needed to pick out the key words and details in a sentence and then gave a reply, but he just did it much much slower.
Slowly, his eyes moved to look at her with a patient stare, not bothering to explain why he was carrying the umbrella around in the first place. If she wanted to know, then she could ask, and he would explain.

"Oh well, I just wanted to know incase I need to grab mine." Smiling unsurely, Faye sat down next to Caynce. "But I'm guessing.." Faye scanned over his skin and body, "You must have it because your sensative to the sun!" Pulling her legs up onto the bench and hugging them againest her chest, Faye studied him more. "Well thats pretty cool, I hate it when I tan, I prefer the nice blank white." Nodding to herself, Faye turned her head to face out towards the courtyard. "I'm Faye, and you are?"

"You are correct." he said simply, freezing up as she sat down next to him. He unvoluntarily scooted a little farther away towards the opposite edge of the bench, suddenly becoming extremely aware of his surroundings. He didn't appear to look any different, except the fact the dazed look in his eyes, though subtle, had completely dissolved into a slightly fearful expression.
Caynce was terrfied of being touched at all, which is why proximity frightened him. It was because his mother never made any phycial contact with him, so he couldn't help himself. While she talked, his mind raced with jumbled thoughts, almost like a train crash, but he paid attention to the last thing she had said, and thought to find out what his name was, though thankfully it didn't take too long because of his awareness.
"Caynce T. Marce."

"Caynce T. Marce." Faye repeated, noticeing him scoot away, and she doing the same. "Pretty long name, I think I'll just call you Caynce." Looking up to the sky, and staring off to the side of the sun, "Hey Caynce, have you ever thought about what it would feel like to stand on the sun?" Nervously, Faye tugged her gloves down. She wouldnt have another accident like before, she wouldnt give a boost of power to another gifted.

"Not really, but it would probably kill me."
He replied simply, closing his eyes completely again, still holding the unmoving umbrella. The hand in his lap had spread out even more than before, and he tried to focus on it, flexing his fingers and moving them slightly. His mind remained on the blood pumping throughout his body, the rythm of the circulation. The boy had been trying his best to keep himself from having his mind wander away when around other people, but in turn, he found himself so incredibly serious during these times, though on the inside he was still as watchful and quiet as before.
"Have you ever thought about it?"

Faye kept staring at the courtyard when he replyied. Nodding and thinking that he had dropped the subject she sat there silent. Only to have a smile spread across her lips at his last words. Turning to face Caynce, "Yes I have. I mean, would it burn me? Cause a blistering pain againest me skin and liquifie me? Or would I soak it with energy and it would explode, a force so hot that it would feel cold." Faye's voice was empty, and she turned back to face the courtyard, her smile fading.

"I think you would burn." he answered, sounding a little sad at the thought. "Though I wish it wasn't true." the boy added, mostly to himself. His eyes were still closed, and he took a deep breath, then exhaled, trying not to think about how painful it would be if he somehow lost it and found himself on top of the sun. He knew he would be fried alive, just a little sunlight burned his pale skin.
"But it's fun to pretend. It's easy to pretend, to think it couldn't happen, though you know it could. That someone loved you when they didn't, that you have friends when you don't." Caynce said, his voice empty as though he were reciting some words he had heard when he was little. Actually, his mother had told him this, and he didn't understand it at the time, though now he did. In a smal voice, the boy added a tiny, "Sorry."

Surpised at the boys sudden speech, Faye tilted her head back to look at him, "Dont say sorry, thats really deep." Faye kept her exspression blank, "Y'know its not everyday I meet a true soul, most of the time I'm surrounded by fake people, just so I can get food and a drink." Letting a sigh pass through her lips, "So your going to that Masque?"

"Oh." Caynce said, glancing up at the sun before shutting his eyes again, breathing slowly. "I know what you mean." he said, wondering if she believed him or not. He wouldn't be surprised if she didn't, but it didn't really matter. It wouldn't make so much of a difference, he supposed.
"Yes, but only until 7:30. I need to try and sleep.."
