[Itsu de Mo]

A breeze drifted through the maze and floated by the fountain, catching the royal purple hair of a female watching the water. She sat quietly on the edge, swishing her hand back and forth in the calm blue. Every now and then a word would come out of her mouth, usually, "Yeah," "No," or "Okay." It seemed like she was talking to someone, but she was the only one visible in the moonlit area. Finally, she sighed and stretched her back, "Alright, already. I've signed up here, what more do you want?" She looked away from the fountain, her eyes focusing on something visible to only her. She frowned as if she noticed an annoyed look on someone's face. "No need to get pissed with me now. If there's someone else around here, they'd think I'm crazy!" She paused for a second looking somewhere else, "Now would you please stop doing that!" A spot of light solidified forming the shape of a man in his early 20s. Only his head and shoulders showed some amount of shape and his face clearly showed the annoyance she had seen earlier. She turned back to him, "Thank you, Psyche. It really is nicer talking to you when I know I'm not the only one who can see you."

He sighed audibly, a deep voice apparent, "You have to remember, I can't do this often, Meikyu. And only at night. Sun's too draining on spirits like myself."

Jack heard a girl's voice on the other side of the fountain. He had been sleeping there so he could get away from everyone's thoughts. He looked up when she said someone elses name. "Hello miss. Who are you talking to?" Jack said in a childesh voice. He didn't see any other people, but he knew that people had powers and there could be an invisible person here. This girls mind was to strong for him to hear her thoughts.

[Itsu de Mo]

Meikyu turned towards the childish voice. She hadn't realized there was anyone else in the fountain yard. She blinked when he asked who she was talking to and immediately whipped her head toward the surprised spirit, "PSYCHE! I thought you said you were going to be visible!"
She fumed as he started to stutter, "But- It- I, I did!" An arm formed as he held his face. He was quiet for a moment, "You know better than to accuse me of something like that..."
Meikyu realized she still hadn't answered the boy's question and she turned back, "I'm talking to Psyche. He's a spirit and also my link." She motioned to the (hopefully) visible spirit to indicate who she was talking about.

Jack turned his head. "O, ok. No wonder I cant hear your thoughts." He said pointing to Phyche. "You have a sstrong mind." HE said pointing to Meikyu. "Well, thats better then being crazy right? Being able to speak with spirits." He looked into the water. "Sigh, all I get are dreams of the would be future." He said to himself. "O but who cares. My name is Dreamz whats yours?" Jack asked the girl.

Meikyu looked the boy over. He looked kinda.... short for a high schooler. "Well, thats better then being crazy right?" She snorted indignently, "Yah, well... When you're the only one who can see them and they ask you questions and you want to be polite and go ahead and answer them, but everyone else is looking at you seeing no one else, they still think you're crazy. You get dreams? That's cool...." She pondered his power as he told her his name and asked for hers, "Oh, uh, my name's Meikyu, and the spirit's name is Psyche."
Psyche's face showed no emotion after the boy talked about hearing thoughts. He knew there were such gifted, but he didn't realize they could appear in people as young as this Dreamz was. It was safer for him not to say anything than give her a clue what being a gifted at this school was going to be about. "Mei, I can't hold it much longer. Sorry." He faded before she could react, mouthing something that she could barely read.

Jack sorta laughed wiht amusment. "So, spirits can maintain a form for very long?" he asked. "He has got to be a spirit, cant hear thoughts from him and he fades away." jack said with an amused voice. "dont worry I wasn't laughing at you." Jack said kindly.

[Itsu de Mo]

Meikyu shifted uneasily, "Actually.... most spirits can't become visible at all... Spirits aren't ghosts really. But sometimes I wonder about him." She sighed, still trying to figure out what his lips tried to say. He was still there, oh, yes. She could still see him standing where he was, but his look... She looked at the boy and smiled weakly, "It's alright. Laughter's the best medicine!" She started laughing trying to cover up her pensiveness. She always felt better when she had a smile on her face. And the best way for her to smile was to start laughing.

Jack watched Meikyu carefully, "Are you ok?" He asked her wondering why she was suddenly laughing. "That was odd. First you seem sad, then your laughing. Are you ok miss?" Jack said with a small chuckle. The affairs of gifteds tended to get complicated even with his mind reading. He yawned.

[Itsu de Mo]

Meikyu grinned like an idoit, "Okay? Well... I'm just being me. I hate being sad, so instead, I laugh." She giggled at his yawn, "I guess I'm keeping you up, aren't I? Don't you have a room in the dorms?" She felt Psyche pulling at her shirt, trying to lead her back inside, but she ignored it. She didn't want to make the boy feel like he wasn't wanted.

Jack made a motion with his hand refering to the town. "No, I am only 9, but they let me come on to the grounds and interact wtih people. I just make a living what I find and sleep wherever I can. Hence why I was sleeping here." He said happilly. He didn't mind that he had to sleep outside, but outside ment one slight fear. Victoria. He shrughed the thought.

[Itsu de Mo]

That explained why he was so short. "Oh... I see..." she trailed. He didn't seem to mind it. Meikyu could feel a more earnest tugging at the back of her shirt and she sighed, "I'm sorry to have woken you, then. I'll leave and let you get back to sleep." She smiled sheepishly, trying not to seem like she didn't want his company. "It was certainly nice to meet you, Dreams."

Jack sighed. He didn't like to sleep, that was his first time sleeping in the past three days. "Well, I really dont like to sleep, very few Futersights are good. They are always like a nightmare. Also, i get night terrors sometimes while I sleep, Before now, I hadn't slept in three days so that I wouldn't have a draem." Jack said quitely. He was not to tired, but he didn't like his dreams.

Rorrim heard people talking and wandered over to the voices.
