A young woman sat at a table alone. The table seemed to be over run by the body of a demon, stretched out across the length of it, sleeping on his side. One of the woman's tender hands ran through the stark-white man the beast had, a tender smile on her face. It was hard to believe that a girl so innocent in appearence would be near something so violent looking and cruel. But what shocked people more was the fact such a large creature managed to get into the small doors. How, they would never know.
" Cerekus, you shouldn't sleep on the table." Warned Moyrah as tender blue eyes looked left and right. They were cautious, expecting a teacher to yell at the beast. Nothing had come to ruin the large beasts sleep, and Moyrah was greatful of that. The creature opened a large amber colored eye in what seemed to be annoyance and snorted. Smoke shot out of the large nostrals and spiraled around the girls face. Coughing into a small hand, Moyrah seemed to be bothered by the brimstone scented smoke.

Kamon placed a book back on the shelf. It wasn't what he was looking for...it was some geneticist writing about microverses. Not the guy's field, but if he wanted to, fine. Kamon just wouldn't read it. Kamon moved on, carrying a solid tray, almost, made of electricity. Several books were piled on this tray, and at a closer look, they were all about genetics.
Hm...here was a book. Genetics, the basics and a little more. Kamon would get this book because it taught about genetics, and no other reason. He pulled the book and placed it on his tray. That was when he heard the snort.
Even after he had seen so many odd people at Cassis, he was startled. Not initially, however, because Kamon was not easily surprised. Kamon was startled because he thought of the implications that a rhino or bull or other snorting animal in a library. Then, he realized that it might not even be an animal. Kamon stepped out of the aisle and saw a young woman with a demon who was sleeping on the table. Kamon calmed down. Obviously this woman had tamed the demon. He and many others in the library were safe. Kamon absentmindedly pulled a book off the shelves. Genetics: Counter-Genes by Sheldon Landers. Holy crap, that was perfect. He placed it on his tray.
Kamon sat down at a different table from the demon, eyeing it carefully. Now, if the demon tried anything, Kamon had a book to defend.
