Nashino rolled his eyes, already annoyed with her 'I can play at that game too' attitude. But what game was he playing?!? Not one at all! That's what she failed to realize. If they were to ever get on good terms again, he's be sure to tell her that with him, eveything wasn't always a game. "I only talked to you because just seeing you annoyed me, and I had to let you know somehow." He closed the book that he was supposed to be working form. There goes a zero. "Quite frankly, Im not into making small-talk with you, because obviously you think Im playing some sort of game, but Chesna, Im serious. You think you have me figured out, but in all realitiy, you dont know the first thing about me, except I can spit out harsh insults. Im tired of your two can play at that game attitude, when there;s not even a game going on! Someon let me know when round two comes, because apparently I've missed round one!"

Chesna listened carefully as Nashino started to rant about how he wasn't playing a game, how he was serious. If he was serious about this, then that was sad. What were they, children? If all of these insults and crude remarks were his way of making amends, then why was she wasting her time? Of course, for her, the answer was obvious: because she couldn't get him out of her mind. No matter what she tried, he was there. He hadn't always been this cruel to her; how could he have magically grown all of these horrible opinions?
"Well, Nashino, I'm glad you pointed out that you were serious. I mean, I'll admit, I did think that this was some childish game. Isn't this what little kids usually do so that all of their friends won't think they have a crush on each other, because that's what it looked like to me. And what about you? You think you know every thing about me because I'm a siren and because I made one mistake... which I apologized for, by the way! But, really what do you know about me? Nothing. You have you opinions and I have mine, but it would seem than neither of us like it when we voice them. So, if we're being serious, then let's be serious. Frankly, Nashino, I think you're presumptuous and cruel... And I want to have a relationship with you. I'm sorry."
There: it was out there. She was vulnerable now. It was only a question of what Nashino would do with it.

Nashino rested is elbow on the table, his head rest resting in his palm. She had apologized, just like that. What to do, what to do...Nashino inhaled deeply, sitting up, his arms slightly folded, resting upon the table. He looked directly into Chesna's eyes, "I wish you wouldn't think I was racist. But then, if you didn't think that, you would think, as you said, that I was presumptuous and cruel. So if it's not one thing, it's another...That's how much we don't know eachother." Nashino sighed, "I'm sorry too. I'm sorry that this whole thing, the dorms, the fight, the classroom thing ever happened. I'm not sure if I want to have a relationship with someone who thinks of me as something I'm not, and I'm not sure that you want a relationship with someone who thinks of you as...Well, you know what I think of you as." Just then, the bell rang. He scooped up his work off of the table, and his backpack from the back of the chair, and headed for the exit. It was going to take Nashino a little to get over all of the drama. It would take some time for him to forgive and forget.

Chesna stood, carefully following Nashino. She could accept most of that answer, and she was plenty willing to, but there was one thing she wouldn't let him leave with. "Nashino... I really wish you didn't think I was a w h o r e. I'm not. My powers are my defense. If you want, I can name every single person I've ever had a relationship with, every person I've slept with, anything you want me to tell you. I'm not a w h o r e because I use my powers, and I don't appreciate you thinking that. I don't think you're a racist... I just don't like how you assume things because of something I can't help being. At least promise me that we can be friends. No more arguing. No more stupid insults. Let's just be friends."
She looked at him with a new expression in her eyes, one that she hadn't had for a very long time: hope. She was glad that he had apologized, as had she. She felt like a weight had been lifted from her chest. Now, she wanted to be sure they were on good terms. After all, if she was going to think about him constantly, her thoughts shouldn't have to be followed by, 'He hates me.'

Nashino didn't bother to turn, and just kept walking, shouting over his shoulder, "Okay, friends. But JUST FRIENDS." What was the point in holding a grudge? It'd get them no where, and they'd be stuck, thinking baout how much they hated eachother. Well, being friends was a start. This time around, he'd get to know her, and was sure that she was going to get to know him. Hopefully, the second time around would be better than the first had been.

Chesna smiled brightly. "Just friends... Perfect," she muttered, very happy by the result. Then, realizing that she had spent far too much time in the library, she followed Nashino out. Over her shoulder, she called to him, "Bye, Nashino!" as she left. She would have to go find something else to do. As far as she was concerned, she didn't have a class to go to.
