Cobalt's square face filled the TV screen. His hand could be seen at the side of the picture as he pulled his finger back from what would be assumed to be the record button on the camera he was using.
His voice crackled through the speakers, smooth and strong as always. He smiled contentedly as he leaned back in his chair, but his smile hid a wickedness that had a form only suggested inside of his mind.
"Well, well, well. What do you guys expect? My last will and testament? A goodbye note? Saying sorry to the world? Yeah, right." He chuckled darkly as he spoke, rolling his eyes. He leaned back even more to put his feet crossed on top of the desk, off to the side of the camera.
"I'm not about to let my life go downhill. Thanks to some of the things that are going on right now in my life, and I'm not going to name any names, mind you, it seems that the threat is imminent. You want to know my reason for doing what I'm about to do? Because this is my climax. This is the highest point that I will never reach again, and I'm not about to decline. Doing this ensures that I will always be remembered at this point in my life. I'll always stay on top." He smirked at the screen, as if he could see the people who would watch him in the future going into old age, into senility, letting their body decay throughout their life before finally their candles were snuffed out. He would be spared all that.
"I am Cobalt Pelasci! I'm a superman, god damn it! A superman! And I'm going to always be remembered as such! I'm not going to let my life go down the drain. I'm not going to be the one who failed. I am going to be immortal in the minds of you people--always young, always handsome, always strong, always great, always perfect. And I'm going to go out with a f**ing bang." The smirk on his face started to have an evil touch to it akin to the person he was about to speak of next.
"My last will and testament? I hope all of you f**ing blame yourself for causing me to decline so soon. A goodbye? Yeah. This is it. This is my goodbye to all you people. I'll see you on the other side, when I'm still young and beautiful and you guys are old and weak. Sorry to the world? The only thing I'm sorry about is not being able to do all the girls in the school, and that's mostly just pity for them. So it seems I've covered all my bases. Have fun with what miserable lives you have ahead of you. And remember me as the one who learned the secret to immortality." He leaned over, about to turn off the camcorder, but paused, and put his face close to the lens for the last words anyone would hear from his lips.
"By the way Dementia, happy birthday. I hope you like my present."
