Laodice walked out onto the grass of the Training Field, wondering when people would get there and what it was used for. Perhaps battle training? Wasn't that what the Danger Room was for? He walked out onto the field, kicking a rock in front of himself like a soccer ball. Bored, he picked up the rock and threw it, opening a gateway to the fourth dimension, the rock disappearing into it. He turned and looked in the direction of the school. He had hoped to meet more people here at the field, but it seemed it was completely deserted. He sat down on the grass and decided to simply soak up the sun. He created a dimensional portal above himself to block the sun. Laying on the ground, he closed his eyes and almost fell asleep.

Jake walked onto the training field, in hopes of getting some more practice in. The Danger Room was a bit 'occupied', so it was the only other place on the grounds that would suffice. He looked around, and quickly spotted a boy lying on the grass, with some kind of hole above him. Feeling a tiny bit social able, he walked up to him, trying to make his presence known without scaring him. Who knows? He might be able to practice with him or something like that.

Galilee sighed, walking into the Training Field. In her eyes, everything had an orange tint to them, but this was normal, seeing as the lenses of the glasses she wore had the orange color to them. As she walked, the chain on her pants jingled together and bounced gently against her tigh. Now in the middle of the field, she removed her glasses, putting a hand on her hip and staring around the large place. Everything seemed the least bit interesting in her opinion, especially since she couldn't even practice her powers here.
Unlike some, her powers had to do with the mind, but there didn't seem to be anyone here that she could practice with. In a way she felt slightly relieved and yet still upset. Upset because it means she woke up early to come here for nothing, but relieved because if someone was here, she'd have to talk to them. Clicking her tongue to herself, the girl placed the glasses back on her face, running a hand through her straight hair and then spying Laodice, obviously overlooking him before. She set to work, trying to decide between asking him to help her or forgetting all about it. Quickly, Galilee chose the latter, only to remember she had nothing else to do.
Shaking her head, she walked forward, bringing herself towards the boy and then bending down beside him, speaking in a soft voice that didn't seem to fit her. "Excuse me?" she began, staring down at him and waiting for him to awaken, since he seemed like he was sleeping, or at least about to do so. She casted a glance up at the boy who seemed to approach him as well, looking him up and down and then turning her attention back to Laodice.

Laodice opened his eyes and looked up at Galilee. "Hey," he said, now getting used to being approached by new people, "you're excused." He laughed. He looked over at Jake. "Hi," he said, "it looks like this place is busier than I thought." He turned his attention back to Galilee. "Was there something you needed?" he asked, "I would be glad to help. As you can see, I'm not that busy at the moment." He stood up and brushed some grass and dirt from his white clothes. "I'm Laodice, by the way," he said, "Laodice Kane." He stopped, thinking he might be talking too much. He looked over at Jake and then back at Galilee. He was going to say something, but decided it was probably someone elses turn to say something. He noticed the black circle floating in the air, said a quick "oops", and made it disappear. He looked over at Galilee and smiled. He hoped this would be as enjoyable as his previous encounters.

Jake smiled as he walked up to him. "Nice to meet cha', Laodice... my name's Jake." Jake said to him as he walked the rest of the way toward him and the other guy. "I take it that was your hole... interesting. What does it do?" He asked him, a bit curious. He then turned toward Galilee. "It's nice also meet you." Jake thought it was nice to see more people, but he didn't want it too crowded around there, since he was a TINY bit claustrophobic. But, company's fine for him still. "I take it you two know each other?"

She got up and brushed off her jeans, as though she might have gotten dust on it or something like that. Crossing her arms against her chest, she tilted her head down slightly, lifting her eyes above the black frame of her sunglasses and taking a better look at the two. As they told each other their names, she mentally sighed, not feeling up to it. But, she got herself into this, wanting to practice her powers oh so very badly, so now she had to deal with it. Tilting her head back up and then adjusting her glasses, the girl spoke. "I'm Galilee Judea." the girl said, leaving out the initial of her middle name.
"Oh, and yes, I'd like some help from both of you, if you could." She said, feeling as though she had just swallowed a bad candy, not liking the feeling of being so formal and polite. She spoke anyway, assuming she had permission to. "I need someone to practice my powers with, so would any of you be interested in helping me?" the girl questioned, playing with a strand of her hair as she waited for a response.

Jake thought for a moment, and then smiled and nodded. "Sure, I'm willing to help, so long as you can help me out too... my powers require focus, and for full affect I need to keep that focus, meaning I need someone... but yeah, I'll help." Jake said to her. The sun was, even though still morning, was beating on his skin, but he didn't exactly feel hot from it, so it was fine. Though, the smell of wet grass came up his nose... there was still a bit of wet morning dew. "What do you do exactly?" Jake asked her.

"Jake? Got it," Laodice replied, hoping he'd remember that later. "Yes, that was mine," he said, "It's a portal to the fourth dimension. It's kind of hard to explain and my explanation is only a theory anyway." Laodice smiled and turned back to Galilee. "Galiliee? As in the Sea of Galilee?" Laodice smiled again, interrested in finding another person with a unique name. "Help with powers?" he said, "Well, that depends on what your powers are. I don't want to be lit on fire or anything. But you don't look too dangerous - no offense - so I suppose I could help you." He turned to Jake. "Aha. Glad to hear you're in." he said. Looking back at Galilee, he created a gateway behind himself, stepped into it, and made it disappear. He walked around behind Galilee and reemerged. "The Phantom, at your service," he said, giving an eloquent bow.

Galilee narrowed her eyes at his compliment, but he probably couldn't see it because they were hidden behind her glasses. Hearing him talk from behind her, she quickly whipped around, fixing her eyes on him with a glare, thinking he was about to attack her. But when nothing happened, she calmed down a little. Turning back to Jake, she spoke, "I have four powers, but only one is offensive." she explained in a vague manner, and then nodded, seeing as they were both in.
Backing away so that she could see them both, Galilee closed her eyes and took a deep breath before something started to move away from her. It was a black shape in a ghostly form, with only two glittering spots on it's 'face', as it seemed. It had no legs, it's form becoming smaller and smaller until it just disappeared, reminiscent of Casper. Meanwhile, Galilee had dropped onto the ground, as though she had fainted. The creature turned in their direction, expecting them to fight.

Jack was taken aback from the figure before him, and then thought of something. "I get it... I think." Jake said, holding his hands outstretched from his body. "Alright... first, something simple." Jake thought to himself. He then shot his hands forward, and a small blue ball shot out and went just above the figure, and... so cliche'... an anvil had appeared above it. "Let's see if you're squash-able." Jake said, not exactly sure if it would work anyways... but still, it was good practice for him.

"What the heck is that?" Laodice said, taking a defensive stance. He watched Jake create an anvil above it, hoping as much as he did that it would work. He looked at Galilee on the ground and wondered if this was what was supposed to happen. He increased the gravity around the anvil, making it fall faster than it normally would. He then created four gateways around himself as shields. If attacked, he could easily step into one or force his attacker into it. He stared at the black figure, still not knowing what it was. As he created the field around the anvil, he also created one in a toru ring about the creature, making a sort of moat in the ground around it. He stood back for a moment, waiting to see what would happen.

Sweat dripped down Dementia's pale skin, the cool, salty droplets rolling from her forehead all the way down her cheeks to her chin like tears. Her breath came in short, pained gasps as she continually threw herself against a single tree, as if intent on razing it to the ground. Her tight, bloodstained shirt was practically shredded from the bones that had ripped through her skin as well as the material, and her shorts were in no better shape. Blood dripped in streaks over the muscles of her curved legs, down her chest, and along her spine. She looked like she was a victim of a mine explosion. Bones jutted out sickeningly from her body that was twisted into awkward angles, and her spine rose through her back and whirled around like a sick whip. Wounds struggled to repair themselves with only a depleted energy and oxygen supply at the disposal of the rapidly multiplying cells in her body; Dementia hardly ever pushed herself this hard just for what seemed like training. She let out a frustrated yell. Something must have been on her mind.
Her phalanges forcefully burst through the edge of her fingertips and slammed into the tree trunk like bullets, trailed in the air with droplets of blood. Her fingers went limp for a moment before the bones regenerated, suddenly giving the skin shape and form. She finally ran at the tree helter-skelter, her knuckles rising from her fist and shifting into long knives, and delivered a punch as hard as she could. The long, ivory bones stuck deep into the heart of the tree, and Dementia stopped moving. Her chest moved up and down erratically as she attempted to control her breathing. She stared at her fist, embedded in the tree, and let out a long sigh. She pressed her foot up against the tree and pulled as hard as she could, and violently yanked out the bones from the tree. She stumbled back, unable to keep her balance on the high heels she insisted on wearing, and nearly fell into one of Laodice's gateways to the fourth dimension with a yelp.

The creature blinked, it's glittering eyes narrowing as the anvil fell upon it. Though it seemed like it would fall through, and it actually did fall through, the effect took it's tool as though it had really been hit with the anvil. Dazed, the creature held onto it's head for a second, and then regained itself. It seemed to shrink, and then it's thin figure jumped over the moat and headed towards Jake and Laodice, skipping from one place to the other, keeping no real position and traveling in no distinguished pattern. Now only feet away from the two boys, the spirit moved to the side and then charged at Jake, it's face appearing in the midst of the large, dark purple sphere it seemed to move it. It delibertly ignored Laodice, seeing the sheilds he had around him.

Jake was not too prepared for this, but was willing to improvise. He stuck his hands and quickly jerked them downwards, and Jake suddenly fell into a hole, completely avoiding a full charge from the creature. He had an idea of what hw would have to do, but for now, he was going to wing it and get a bit more practice in. After all, isn't it the reason he was here in the first place? Jake, as a precaution, shot his hands upwards, creating a small upward jetstream above him so the creature couldn't touch him unless it was also resistant to natural forces.

Laodice decided to try to take the offensive and took down his gateway "shields". After doing so, he felt something hit him. Looking down, he saw he was covered in blood on one side. "What the...?!" he screamed, trying to wipe it from himself. Was he hit? He looked over and noticed a mangled girl next to him. "Oh my god," he said, rushing to her side. He wasn't sure what to do, his thoughts rushing by, freezing him in place. He looked back at the field, the strange black creature still floating around and Jake now out of view. He looked back at the shocking figure of the bleeding girl. "Someone help!" he yelled, not really understanding what was going on.
