Powers:
Yoanna has the strange, and rather unique, ability to transform into a Cheetah woman...Chimera if you will. With this ability comes all the physical and emotional characteristics of a cheetah. Below the waist transforms, becoming the long-legged body of a cheetah with semi-circular blunt claws. Her skin becomes coated with a short, course tan furand black spots. Red "tearmarks" run from the corner of her eyes down the sides of the nose to her mouth to keep sunlight out of her eyes and to aid in hunting and seeing long distances. When in full human form, Yoanna is granted with extra speed, seeing how cheetahs can reach up to 105 kilometres per hour (65 mph) in short burst of 500 yards.
Yoanna, in cheetah form can reach from 0 to 70mph within 3 seconds, but only 0 to 30 mph in thirty second while in human form. She is also able as a human to with stand excess heat and abnormaly high temperatures. Her canine teeth are actually sharper than most, as well as the others. Her human genes being combined with cheetah genetics, gives her stomach the ability to digest more blood than the average human.
Weakness: Caffeine. By her naturally paranoid persona, caffeine can drive her over the edge.
Power related issues: Being entangled with human and cheetah genetics, she can can only run so fast for so long, and if she over does it, of course, she can pass out or possible heart attack.
Personality: Cheetah-licious!! Haha, no. Yoanna is always on edge. She is the meaning of paranoid. When she sits, she cannot sit still for long, and most would classify her condition as A.D.H.D. She's constantly looking over her sholder, which makes her a good device for the government. She's always aware, even when you wouldn't suspect she was. It seems like Yoanna has been binging on coffee beans, and any substance with caffiene in them, for she is constantly jittering.
Her temper is easily triggered, and she is always, it seems, annoyed with something or someone. She is often snippy at students, and seems rather harsh. She has a fettish for capturing her prey by it's neck, and at anytime, if she feels the need, will hop over the counter, catching the person or whatever by it's neck if highly annoyed, or assigned to. Trust, she's knows exactly which pressure point to target, stunning the person or animal right there. Oddly, she'll get into moods where at night, she'll go out and stalk the little hare running about in the yard, and chase him down, recieving her mid night snack...She doesn't let anyone see this side of her, and mostly tries to keep her cheetah-like habits to herself, and hidden from the human eye.
History:
Yoanna, one day, was working in the lab. She had spent twenty-five years of her life like any other overly-smart human being. She had attended Yale, graduating as one of it's top-notch femal scientist. She spent two years teaching at a middle school as a science teacher.It was her way of giving back. But by night, she was in the labarotory, studying genetics, something she was oh so obsessed with. It wasn't until two summers ago that Yoanna was in the laboratory, her mini television displaying her all-time favorite show "Big Cat Diary". The cheetah portion of the show was always her favorite.She admired how they weren't able to roar like the others, and was lean like a leapord, and was a poor climber, and the fact that they were the fastest earth mamal. Just so happened, she owned a collection of samples of animal genes that was officialized by the government. It was all too easy. By her incredible knowledge in the scientific field, and her dimplomas and PHD's to prove it,she had access to alot of things normal scientists didn't.
Well, what happened next was pretty self-explanatory. Injecting herself with a hand-concocted serum made of cheetah genes, she slowly found herself transforming over the days, both physically and emotionally. When goverment officials caught word of this, they were impressed, and imideatleyl sought out Ms. Yoanna. But, they gave her an altamadum...."Either you work for us, or we holdyou captive like a little zoo animal. Bye-Bye to all of your little scientific gadgets." And with that, she was sent to Cassis, applying for the job of a science teacher, once again. It was awin-win situation. She sought out the best gifteds she could, and got to keep her passion all at the same time.
