Name: Amir De Ragan
Nicknames: --
Aliases: --
Age: Undisclosed (rumoured to be somewhere around four centuries, though...)
Marital Status: Single *hint hint*
Sexual Orientation: Straight - and picky
Weight: None of your business, says he
Height: 5'10"
Eyes: Amber
Hair: A light, silky auburn
Ethnicity: Goldoan Laguz (Dragon tribe - red dragon)
Clothing: Anything with lots of beads! He's particularly fond of silk and suede - they feel very good on the skin^^ Lots of earrings for his delicately pointed ears, too
Powers: Laguz are born with the innate ability to change into a larger, more powerful version of a common animal. There are cats, tigers, hawks and even herons. It all depends on the tribe a Laguz is born into.
Laguz of the dragon tribe are exceptionally powerful, having incredible longevity and the ability to transform into an 8' tall bipedal dragon of either red, black, or white colouring.
As a red dragon, Amir's physical strength and stamina are unsurpassed by other members of his tribe, and the flames he exhales while in dragon form are hot enough to melt boulders.
Dragon Form
Weakness: Laguz dragons are weak against electricity in all it's forms. If in dragon form when struck, it causes them to shift back to humanoid form very painfully. If in humanoid form, it just hurts. A lot. XD
Also. having never left the Laguz kingdom of Goldoa before, Amir is unfamiliar with the outside world and his naievete is something that many find they can take advantage of.
Power-Related Issues: Although Laguz can transform at will, they can only do so after accumulating enough energy from the world around them. Hence the reason why so many can only do so in combat, as the amount of energy being given off in a battle is immense. Also, Laguz can only maintain their animal forms for a limited time.
Personality: For all his pomp and gaudy fashion, Amir is not a bad guy. He is quiet and well-mannered, showing next to no emotion except humour and self-confidence, unless moved to great anger. He tends to be very secretive and untrusting towards any but fellow Laguz dragons, having grown up hearing tales of humans and other races who hunt both dragon and Laguz with unthinking bloodlust. Thus, as he moves about his quest for strength and understanding, he is most often alone and shuns company. Earning Amir's trust is no easy feat, but once you have it you have a powerful friend and ally at your beck and call.
Like the majority of Laguz, he refuses to use manufactured weapons and doesn't even wear any even for decoration like many of his kin.
*Expansion Note: Laguz of all tribes refuse to fight in humanoid form, waiting -even taking a beating- until they have acquired sufficient energy to change forms. Then they lay down the hurt!
Laguz are also feared and despised by many humanoid races.
History: The black dragon Kurthnaga family has been in power for as long as any Laguz can remember, ruling over the monarchy of Goldoa since before the Goddess herself walked the land. Amir has been in their service for centuries, and takes great pride in his career. A manservant to the Black Prince, Ladekahn Kurthnaga. Amir is something of a noble himself and commands great respect amongst his people. So great is Ladekahn's trust in his friend and servant that Amir has been allowed to take a leave of absence in order to quench a sudden onset of wanderlust. Overtaken with a desire to see the world outside of Goldoa, Amir has come to Cassis in his pilgrimmage for strength and knowledge. The inhabitants of this strange place intrigue him greatly, and as Goldoans cease showing outward signs of aging once they reach a certain point, Amir is positive he can play the part of 'student wishing to enroll'...
((Sorry the history isn't very long, but I've said what's needed to be said and I despise long-winded, unneccessary words XP))
