Able to get into any computer, allowing her form to become pure electricity. She's more of a super hacker, meaning, getting into any site and in other words 'surfs' the web(lol). Also able to use powerlines/curcuits, or anyother electrial currents to allow her self transport. As a part of defending herself, her body is full of electricity and when needed she can shock a person. Either something simple from a small shock to the extreme of a volt of electricity. But she has to be able to touch someone for that to happen.
POwer outages and being in an area where electricity is not around. Large bodies of water also affects her abilities.
If she isn't where electricity is, she tends to be real weak. that's why she always has her laptop with her or some sort of electrical toy with her. She does tend to get dizzy when she overuses her powers.
She's pretty much a friendly person, but she tends to get caught up in her computer most of the time. Spending hours on it, she'll totally just forget about the real world. SHe loves to be around people when she's away from her computer. SHe's a major coffee fanatic and loves to listen to music. She only listens to what she likes and usually she can listen to any song more than one time in a roll. SHe hates to be around people who act stupid or are trying to be cool. She'd rather be around someone who knows what they want to do and don't have to pretend to be someone they're not.
The day she got her powers had been one of the worse storms in her hometown, but later found out the gift she inherited. The storm had created multiple power outages and cloud to ground lightning that night.
After a stressful day at work, Ria gathered up her things and left to go destress herself by going to the park and relaxing. While she was there, she found herself to be caught up in the storm. Unable to get home in time, she found shelter in a an abandoned walkway under the city streets, and to pass time, she opened her laptop to pass time as rain and wind caught up under the streets into the area in which she sought shelter.
After realizing that the water was collecting, she quickly closed up her laptop and before she was able to leave the shelter, lightning hit several times, only one managed to find the area in which she precided. She was instantly thrown back and suffered a major concussion. When she woke up she was in the hospital and hearing the doctors, she learned how lucky she was. She had only a few small burn marks on her legs where the water had soaked up on her pants leg, and thus the lightning got transfered.
The next day she was released and given a clean bill of health, not a sign of the events from the other day was present. She went on with her life as normal. Only about a week later, she was surfing the web and noticed her battery was low and moving to plug it up, she ended up sucking the electricity out of the wall, and somehow her body transformed into that energy source. She was able to transform back, but to hide herself from her parents she took off to find a better place knowing that her parents didn't like gifted people. She knew she wasn't gifted, just lucky. Hearing about a school for people like her, who had either been 'given' a gift or just ended up with one, she decided to go and check it out.
