It was quiet... Too quiet. At least that was the opinion of the petite blond who was maneuvering through the hallway with relative ease. Chesna sighed as she watched the people, who were few and far between, go past her. It seemed that every one had a place to get to, besides her. She was wandering aimlessly, and she assumed from the look of things that she had wandered into a school. That was what she got for not being from around here. She blended in perfectly. Chesna wasn't a student, and she had never been, in the traditional sense. She was seventeen years old, but she wasn't about to start attending classes. She thought about that for a moment. If confronted, what could she say?
"Nothing... A wink and a smile, and I'm free to go..." she whispered to herself when she saw that no one else was around. Heaving a sigh, she turned on her heels and sat her self down, her back to one of the walls. She smiled, sunlight from one of the windows hitting her perfectly and warming her face. She closed her eyes and relaxed. Every one else must've been in class, or they should have been, at least. Who would pay attention to one pretty little delinquent in the hallways?
Chesna could almost feel herself drifting away. It was so calm, but it was still far too quiet. She took a quick breath before a subdued humming filled the hallway. The tone was as clear and beautiful as it would be if some one were actually singing. Casually, her head nodded from side to side, following the rhythm of the music. It was obvious that Chesna was in her own world now, and any one was invited to join her through her song.

Galilee brushed her straight, black hair back, walking with ease through the halls. The high heels of her black boots clicked against the hard floor, and for a second the girl stood still, crossed her arms over her chest and leaned half of her body weight on one side, watching with bored, choclate colored eyes as people passed her without thought, without looking her way. But then she continued on, seeming to 'go with the flow' as some put it, until there wasn't anyone left in the vacant halls, or so it seemed. She removed her orange tinted sunglasses, thinking she was alone, and put them in her pocket. With that, the girl kept on moving, the taps her shoes made against the floor echoing through the now void hallway.
But at least, Galilee thought, she was now able to let her thoughts wander away, something she didn't normally allow or encourage herself of doing. Slowing down her almost busy pace, as though she were still amoungst a crowd and realized just now it had disappeared, Galilee came across Chesna. Well, in actuality, she had just begun to hear the wonderful singing (it sounded like singing) of someone, though she wasn't sure of just who it was, or if the voice even belonged to a human. As much as she tried to resist acting on impulse, she went against herself and followed the seductive sound, yielding in to it's almost passionate and alluring tune. Her pace slowed even more, to the point where she was just floating around, trying to locate the source of music.
It seemed to be moving. Everytime Galilee thought she was close enough, so close to even touch the sound and see the notes circling the air, it always seemed to get farther and farther away, to the point where she had began to doubt what was reaching her ears was even realistic. It could have been a dream. A horrible tease, indeed, but it was good enough to be a dream, and at this point was actually very believable, due to the fact she hadn't already found the point source, though this was beginning to make her very upset. Until, at long last, she saw the girl who had been wandering the halls. The female, Galilee believed, was absolutely gorgeous, a miracle from God brought to Earth from the heavens.
Oh yes.
Galilee put her glasses back on her face and grinned to herself, running a hand through her hair and watching the girl carefully, using her powers to get what she needed. Shallow, two-faced, seductive. Her history seemed much like her own, and she was currently wandering away, to say the least. The black-haired girl tapped the side of her glasses for some reason, and then walked forward, revealing herself, though not expecting the girl to see, because her eyes were, at the moment, closed. But she could probably change that if she tried hard enough.
"You're singing is beautiful." Galilee commented, her voice a low, soft hiss, yet loud enough for Chesna to hear either way.

Chesna's eyes fluttered open, revealing her wide, gorgeous chestnut eyes. They settled on Galilee, and the humming stopped suddenly. Pale lips spread into a smile. All of her movements were precise and feminine. It was obvious that, even with out her trying, Chesna's nature overtook everything she did. She couldn't stop herself from being soft and lovely. It was as much a part of her as her brown eyes and blond hair. Even the way she sat made her look inviting: her knees were curled up close to her chest, with most of her legs revealed. Today, she wore a simple cotton sun dress, it's dusty rose color complimenting her every feature. Silver and white beads embellished her wrists. The craftsmanship of her bracelets were enough to tell every one that they were rare and expensive. With the sun striking her fair hair, she looked so innocent, so angelic. It was hard to believe that she had any human in her.
"I was only humming, but thank you very much," she said, just loud enough for Galilee to hear her. Even when she was speaking, her tone was clear and lovely. It was as if bells were ringing every time she opened her mouth. Her eyes never left Galilee, taking in her every feature. Her senses told her what she needed to know: this girl was calm and positive for the time being. Her song had probably aided in that, but it assured Chesna that she would be safe with this girl if she could keep her entranced.
Patting the floor beside her with her delicate hand, her fingers lingered on the space. "If you would like, you can join me... And I could let you hear me sing. It's much better than my poor humming."
(( My post in short, but that's because I'm being kicked off abruptly... Sorry that it's shorter than it should be, and sorry that this is OOC... ))

{{No problemo.}}
Galilee allowed a smile to grace her lips, and she once more took in every feature of the girl within seconds, which gave it the impression she was trying to decide what to say, when she already knew the answer. She swore the woman wasn't even human. Gorgeous blonde hair with chocolate colored eyes and lovely facial features seen only on an angel, which Galilee was postive she was, and of course she had the most feminine body imaginable. The girl couldn't even imagine how no one noticed the female, just sitting there in the halls, beautiful and unlike anyone she had ever seen. How, she thought, almost a tad upset, could they even think about ignoring her? But, there was also a good side, because she'd have this girl all to herself.
"I'd love to." she said softly, walking forward. Her boots clicked against the tiled floor, but then the girl sat down on the spot opposite of the one Chesna had been, not wanting to sit on her hand but at the same time not wanting to have to tell her to move it, deciding she could easily fix the problem by sitting somewhere else. With that, the girl looked ahead of her, eyes shaded by orange tinted sunglasses as she looked out a of a window, the sunlight pouring through it. Ironcially, it filled in the space where the two girls were sitting, shedding it's light upon them as though they were the two most important beings in the world. For a few seconds she said nothing, admiring the quiet before she realized how much she longed to hear the voice of the angelic girl beside her.
"Please, before you sing, may I ask what your name is?"

Chesna paused before she spoke, as if she was thinking before she said anything to this girl. She would make her wait, even to know her name, because that was how things worked. She would make her hang on every word. She would keep her anticipating. Chesna's eyes drifted across her new companion, the first time she had broken her eye contact. She noted everything about her appearance: her strong face, her slim body. Chesna traced her way down, starting with her sleek raven hair and ending with the pants that hung on her hips like she was born in them. It was a shame that her eyes were hidden by her sunglasses. Chesna was so tempted to reach out and remove them, but they had just met. For now, it was a look-and-don't-touch friendship, especially because Chesna didn't like to be the on to make the first move. She was all too used to fast paced relationships, but she would give this one some room. For all Chesna knew, this dark-haired beauty could be a stuffy little straight girl, and Chesna could be a whole new kind of fun for her.
"My name..." she finally whispered, her voice quiet and tormenting, "is Chesna... Chesna Darwin." The sheer power of Chesna's voice, even as quiet as she kept it, was overwhelming. She was hypnotizing and spectacular without even trying, but that was a trait that came with being what she was. She was suspended awkwardly some where between human and angel. She was in the middle ground. She was a Siren.
Well, for the most part.
But, her new friend, as beautiful as she was, was no Siren. Chesna could easily tell that she was human, though she was a strong one. This peaked her curiosity. Would this girl be able to recognize Chesna for what she was? Would she assume she was human and ask no questions? Or would she be completely off the mark, guessing something bizarre? Chesna had been accused of being many things: banshee, succubus, and angel were the most popular. But, right now, she was just a girl, befriending another girl, and waiting to see what would develop.
"But, now, I have to know your name before I sing for you..."

As the girl spoke, she watched her out of the corner of her eye, able to see her as easily as though she were looking straight at her. But she listened very carefully, wanting to know her name, not wanting to lose her. She felt that as long as you knew someone's name, you couldn't possibly let them go, not even if you tried. Because they'd always be in your mind, you could think back to the days when you were with them, and that's why when the blonde-haired beauty opened her mouth to speak, Galilee tuned out everyone and everything except the voice of the female she had just met. But then it was torture at that point. Just pure torture, because this innocent person just left her hanging on her first few words.
'My name...'
That was supposed to be ended immediatly. She should have known her name seconds ago now, she should have already been introducing herself. She should be speaking, watching, waiting to see what would happen, admiring the voice of the girl and then speaking once more. But no. Because this little angel right here has decided to let the raven haired wait just a tid bit longer. And then, finally after what seemed like hours, the girl spoke her lovely name, to go with her gorgeous face, her perfect body, her feminine features. Chesna. Darwin. Of course, at first, Galilee said nothing, just running the words over in her mind. Twelve letters, four vowels, eight consanents, combining the most perfect name in the world.
When Chesna stated she'd sing her for, Galilee almost choked on air. Almost, but it didn't seem like it. Her heart just started to race a little bit faster, but that was on the outside. What she felt emotionally was unable to be described properly, and so she spoke after doing careful but quick calculations in her mind about the words, as though she were doing math. And she came up with a very simple answer.
"My name is Galilee Judea." she said softly, glancing at the girl. "And you have a lovely voice."

Chesna shut her eyes gently, giving her the appearence of some mystical Sleeping Beauty. She was thinking, though Chesna was a bit more verbal in her considerations than Galilee seemed to be. She listened to the name over and over in her mind. After a moment, her lips parted and she spoke one word: "Galilee..." In her mind, she accented every different part of the name; Galilee, Galilee, Galilee... She thought of it in every way she could imagine. Her eyes opened again, but she didn't look at Galilee right away. She pictured her, mentally of course, but a little differently than now. As she gazed out the window, she saw Galilee without her glasses, with beautiful eyes staring back at Chesna, and she imagined her smiling. She would look very pretty when she was very happy. Maybe Chesna could bring that to her, or she could at least help it along.
Chesna said nothing else. After her pause, she looked over at Galilee. She opened her mouth slightly, and the most beautiful sound escaped her. It was quiet, and her lips moved slightly. The words were beyond understanding, beyond human. This song was the expression of pure emotion in a language native to Chesna. This song was obviously special, one that was fitted just for Galilee. As the singing progressed, it grew in depth and became louder. The purity of it all flowed from her heart directly out of Chesna's lips. Her eyes didn't leave Galilee, even as her song crescendoed, and then finally dwindled to a soft finish.
The song slowly became humming as Chesna was done. She finally looked up, out the window, and she made no more noise after that. She waited instead for Galilee's response. The song was just for this girl, and Chesna hoped that she would notice that. Despite the fact that her voice was always lovely, Chesna's song had been more passionate than normal today. Galilee, though obviously no Siren, was bringing something new out of Chesna. She was curious to discover what it was.

As Chesna sang, Galilee could feel the girl's eyes on her form, watching and singing at the same time. Unable to control it, the girl turned her head to face the female beside her, brown eyes staring back through the orange tinted lenses of her sunglasses, now incapable of removing her eyes from Chesna's face. As the magical, passionate words escaped the lips of what Galilee was beginning to realize a person who couldn't be human, the raven haired female allowed a tiny smile to stretch her thin lips, enjoying every part of the song Chesna was singing for her.
As the song came to an end, Galilee almost lost her breath, wanting to hear more, to learn more about this angel she had discovered on what seemed like a normal day. She once again looked the girl over, unable to believe that anyone or anything could possibly be so beautiful. Not an angel, not a fairy, not a princess, not a - Wait. The perfect word entered her mind, something she truly believe to be the correct answer.
Siren.
Of course. This miracle wasn't human, or at least not much of human, because she was a siren. A siren with a perfect voice, an unbelievable body, and - "You're the most beautiful siren I've ever met in my entire life." she said, not, at that given moment, able to keep her tone from dropping to a soft, alluring voice. As Chesna turned away, she faced the window for only a second before reaching out and moving the singer's chin to alter the direction she was looking at. Removing her hand from Chesna, she leaned back and watched the girl, who's head had now been moved to look at Galilee, because she felt as though she wouldn't last a second without seeing her face.

Chesna's eyes dropped, looking away from Galilee though her face was still directed toward her. "Siren..." she whispered. So, Galilee had been able to guess correctly. Chesna looked away because it was typical for any scraps of a relationship to be ruined when people were familiar with Chesna's heritage. When people assumed that Chesna was seducing them, they fled. That was how it always happened. Now that she wasn't even trying and she had been able to draw in a potential mate, what would Galilee think of Chesna? She was content with it now, with Chesna's outward appearance and abilities, but what about her true nature? Would Galilee be like the others? Would she flee? There were so many questions Chesna could ask this girl about her opinion pertaining Sirens, but what if she were to push her away?
Chesna had only one defense mechanism: her seductive tendencies activated, though at a low power for now. Her eyes remained away from Galilee. For now, the girl wouldn't notice much of a difference if she were at all attracted to Chesna, but Chesna had to make sure she wouldn't get scared and run. She had to make sure she still wanted to be around her, even if she had to keep her by being irresistible.
"You... you guessed it... I am a Siren..." she admitted, her eyes and voice ringing with a deep sadness. This was another genuine emotion, for Chesna was embarrassed that Galilee could so easily place what she was. "But... still... thank you. You must not know many Sirens... but, it's nice to hear that you think I'm the most beautiful..."
Her eyes drifted back to Galilee. Oh how she wished to take off those glasses! Galilee had already made the first move though: she had touched Chesna's face. This was an opening for Chesna. Casually, gently, her hand moved up and her fingers carefully closed on the corner of Galilee's glasses. Before she could remove them, her eyes turned apologetic. "Do you mind...?" she asked, her tone still innocent and now even adorable.

Galilee nodded, shutting her eyes rather quickly, and then re-opening them when the girl spoke. She easily noted the sadness that was present in Chesna's voice, and didn't really wonder why until, well, she decided she had to wonder why. She quickly dove into the blonde's mind without a thought, not trying to restrain her concern for the female before her, and found out why. Other than the most obvious fact she was upset, Galilee sensed something, though she wasn't able to name it exactly. It gave her that annoying feeling when you're looking for a word that's on the tip of your tongue and you're waiting to say it, but then it never comes. Or when you're dying to tell someone something and then when you get to them, you completely forget what you were going to say, and you have to think back. Even worse; sometimes you never even remember. Like when you're struggling to grasp the last parts of a dream, trying to remember what else happened during your night time adventure, but fail to do such a thing. This was how Galilee felt right now, but then she snapped back to reality, hearing Chesna's angelic voice.
"I'm know for a fact that you are the most beautiful Siren ever, and believe me, I don't just say things because I like to hear myself speak. Quite the opposite; I say things because I mean them." she said, and then realized what the Siren had been feeling. Sadness and embarrassment, and so the raven-haired added, "Don't be embarrassed, it's not too hard to figure out you aren't completely human. You can't help yourself from being soft and precious, and besides," at this Galilee grinned slightly, "I don't mind at all." She hissed delicately, chocolate colored eyes blinking from behind the glasses. As Chesna made an attempt to remove her sunglasses, Galilee froze, making a quick descision to pull away before her entire face would be revealed. But the blonde haired girl asked, her fingers wrapping around the corner of the frame.
She had to consider this. The normally cynical girl wasn't used to being touched, much less removing her glasses. But she felt as though there were something about this Siren, about Chesna that allowed her to give the female trust. She didn't know why; she wasn't usually so nice. Not at all. She was a negative, pessimic human being with a sick sense of humor and even sicker interests in things, and yet this girl wanted to see her face. She had nothing to hide, behind those shades were a pair of brown eyes. Dull and boring, nothing special. They were nowhere near as beautiful as Chesna's, but that wasn't the problem. The Siren was more beautiful than anyone she had ever seen, but Galilee wasn't sure if letting her see her eyes was a good idea, and yet she had no reason to hide anything. Making up her mind, the girl blinked and opened her mouth to speak the next few words.
"Not at all. Please continue."

Chesna smiled again, her face brightening. She didn't mean to show how pleased her was that the girl would let her take away her glasses. They almost felt like they would be a shield for the girl, and it was as if Chesna would be removing her defenses and leaving her exposed. But, it felt as if that was what Chesna had done for her: she had revealed her true self and let Galilee know something she would never have told her, not just yet. It didn't quite matter that Galilee had guessed. Chesna could have easily lied and denied it. There were plenty of other races that could have contributed to her beauty. Now, as Chesna slipped the shield away from Galilee's eyes, she was leaving her just as open as Chesna had felt. She pulled them away carefully, slowly, until they were disconnected from Galilee's face. Chesna held them in her hands as if they were made of gold and diamonds. Her fingers folded the glasses. Tentatively, she reached out and took hold of Galilee's hand. She placed the glasses on Galilee's palm and folded the girl's fingers around her them. She was reluctant to take her hand away from Galilee's. She enjoyed the contact, but she did take her hand away quicker than she wanted too. Chesna couldn't be too forward. She couldn't imagine just what Galilee felt about her. After all, it was common for females to compliment each other. When she said that she believed Chesna was beautiful, she may not have had any romantic ideas in mind. Chesna wouldn't push her luck. Not yet.
"It's just hard to admit. There have been many times where I've heard, 'Oh, of course she's beautiful. She is a Siren, after all.' It's as if I'm expected to be pretty due to my race... But, in honesty, I'm just a cheap imitation of a true Siren. I'm not lucky like you though..." Chesna's hand gently brushed against Galilee's again and she looked straight into her eyes. Now that they were visible, Chesna was surprised to find that the shade of Galilee's eyes almost mirrored her own. She couldn't help but smile as she spoke. She glanced away, only for a moment, before looking back to Galilee with a peachy blush tinting her cheeks.
"It's not a part of your race, but still... you're absolutely beautiful."

As Chesna proceeded to remove the sunglasses from her face, Galilee stopped breathing, as though it were a life-changing moment for her. It wasn't anything like that, but that's what it had felt like for the girl. As the sheild slipped from her face, she watched as Chesna stared down at the pair like they were something treasurable, except she didn't really know. For some reason, she had almost been expecting the girl to..well, reject her for it. She didn't know why, there was just this awful feeling in the pit of her stomach. It tightened up, made her legs weak, and made her very self-conscious to the point where she was almost nervous. When Chesna pressed the glasses back into her palm, she looked up to see the girl, and listened carefully as she spoke to her.
Galilee was about to respond when she felt Chesna's hand brush against hers, though it was very light. Even so, the raven-haired quickly held onto the blonde's hand with her own, a light, gentle grasp as though were handling a child or a princess. And when she looked back at Chesna, she could see the slight blush in her cheeks, and grinned to herself, liking the fact the girl felt this way. She knew she liked her, Galilee didn't doubt it at all, but the question was: What did Chesna think? Yes, it was indeed common amongst girls to compliment each other, and so there wasn't anything to be a clue or a hint that the siren felt the same way.
"Thank you, Chesna..." she murmured softly, putting her hand over Chesna's, the one that was already in her palm. Her sunglasses had seemingly disappeared out of thin air, but they were actually in her pocket. As to how they got there, well, it was a secret (not even I know o.o;) "Don't say those things about yourself, maybe people do expect you to be beautiful because of your race, but they're just," she stopped herself, "jealous" she hissed softly, soft brown eyes sparkling slightly.

Chesna's blush became more obvious, her smile widening. She let herself giggle, just slightly, when Galilee said that. She was so flattering, Chesna was almost surprised. At least Galilee was open with her opinions. Chesna's hand in Galilee's was another pleasent surprise. Now beaming with happiness, Chesna's hand entwined her fingers with Galilee's. "Thank you, Galilee. You're really too nice! If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were flirting with me!"
Another giggle, and the trap was baited. She hadn't just been making a joke when she'd said that: Chesna was curious about Galilee's intentions, and she planned on luring them out into the open. If Galilee planned on bringing romance into this, who was Chesna to say no? But, Chesna couldn't help but think that she was flirting. After all, Chesna was all too used to being admired and adored.
{ Ohmigosh, this is short. }

{'Tis awight. ^^}
"Maybe, " she began, feeling Chesna's fingers intertwine with hers, and so she gave her hand a gentle squeeze, "Maybe I am." she finished, repeating the first part of the sentence over again and then wrapping it up. Her voice had once again dropped to a low, soft tone, made for only Chesna to hear, not that there was anyone else around to actually hear it. The halls not only seemed void; they really were. But, either way, Galilee wouldn't be holding back, not at all. She'd just blurt out everything she felt.
"Might I add, I don't play around when I say these kinds of things. Like I said before, I don't speak to her my voice, I speak because I mean it." she smiled slightly, shifting around in her place on the floor. She leaned her head against the wall, still watching Chesna, waiting for her reaction. "And I mean it when I say they're jealous."

Chesna smiled, pleasantly surprised that Galilee would admit that she was flirting. Her face moved slowly closer to Galilee's, almost as if she were moving in for the dramatic kiss in a romantic movie. But, she stopped before it could be taken in such a manner. She was just too pleased that Galilee would be so honest. She could only hope that she was being half as flirtatious as Galilee, and at least one forth as effective.
"Galilee! You're making me blush!" she giggled, just under her breath. Galilee would be able to hear, but no one else. "And... I'm like you. I don't speak to hear myself talk... I just hope that you're not jealous of me, because you have no reason to be. None at all. Galilee, you're gorgeous."
