Vanden grunted. "That douche? Seaheart. He's totally full of himself. Kaelen sent me in there to attack him or something, so he used his little blob-of-shit powers or whatever it was, and tried to act all hard. Then after that, every other sentence was about "how strong he is" and stuff like that. I hate people with personalities like that." He slumped further into the chair, his leg hanging over the arm of the chair.

"Well," Terren said, thinking for a moment, "we've all had rough pasts before coming here. Well, most of us. I remember after my sister died..." Terren's voice trailed off. He looked down at the floor.

Vanden suddenly felt extremely bad for Terren, and at the same time, like an extremely horrible person for being so cruel to Seaheart. "I'm..sorry." Was all he could muster, and all he knew to say. He was horrid at acting in situations like this.

"It's alright," Terren said, "you didn't do anything. It's my fault, really. I should have been more careful." Terren trailed off again for a moment. "Did you ever have to wonder why someone who should be there for you, no matter what, just tosses you to the side? I hope not..."

Vanden looked down at the floor, speachless. He didn't know exactly what had happened to Terren, but knew it was definetely something bad, and decided not to ask. "In a way..." He shivered, and the awkwardness in the room was so thick he could almost taste it.

"I'm sorry," Terren said, "I shouldn't have brought it up. What's done is done and you can't change the past. Well, most of us can't anyway. I wonder sometimes if I would want to. Did you ever wonder what life would be like if you just changed one small action in your past? May you stepped to the left instead of the right..." Terren didn't feel he was making much sense, so he just shut up...

Vanden looked up, "Actually I don't know if I'd want to. Certain events maybe but..I suppose those shape you to who you are now. It'd be the equivalent of changing myself..I guess." He shrugged and looked back downwards.

"Well, if I could, I'd be living with my parents right now. Maybe one day I'll see them again." Terren seemed ot think for a moment. "How well do they guard the city border?"

"I'm not sure exactly. I don't think it's too hard to get out though, I mean it's possible." He shrugged a bit. "I'd much rather be here than with my parents though, never again with them.."

Terren quickly brushed any crazy ideas from his mind. The school was the best home he could have for now. He yawned and strethced. "Well," it's pretty late he said. He bid Vanden farewell and walked to his dorm, room 238.

((Talk about short posts)) Walking with serenity into the common room, Tsu looked around to notice there were far more unfamiliar faces than he'd last recalled. He looked at the notice board and saw that it looked like the time for more new arrivals. Or just that he'd never noticed these people, ever. He shrugged and went to sit in his usual chair, but someone was sitting there. Fuming like a boiling kettle, Tsu silently growled and walked to the window to sit by. Tsuyou saw the sun seemed hotter than usual, and the wind seemed calmer than usual. Was there some time change that Tsu had totally missed? He scratched his head and pulled out the last sweet Onigiri and began to nibble at it.
