Oshaya, thankful that Kamon was taller than her, wrapped her arms around his neck, swaying smoothly back and forth to the beat of the music. ((Zomg!! I went to the last school dance of the yr, and i slow danced w/this dude that was shorter than me!! It was so awkward for me..Lol)). Despite just confessing her feelings for him, Oshaya was completely somfortable with dancing with Kamon, she wondered if it was the same for him.

Kamon complied in swaying in time with Oshaya. He never thought he'd get to this point. In fact, according to his previous logic, he would be in his room by now, seething at whatever. That idiot making too much noise down the hall, the guy shouting and laughing with his friends, completely oblivious to everyone else's existence...himself, maybe. But instead of that, he had a feeling he would be the noisy person down the hall. He wouldn't have been able to do it without Roxanna's help. It also went a little better than expected because Oshaya told Kamon first. Altogether, Kamon was happy, and though feeling a little awkward, didn't let it show. It must have been a sight to see, War dancing with Ms Satan.

(OOC: ZOMG! This is gettin' funnay...)
Neh...? Just what in the world is going on?
Elated that Maya had apparently abandoned Caynce to come and speak with him, Arkady's youthful face lit up delight as she approached him. His brow knit slightly as Dementia ran off after her date, but it quickly passed as he realized who he still had for company. I hope her date isn't peeved about seeing her with me... Ah well, what did it matter to him? It had been Dementia's choice to run after him. People had to assume the responsibilities of their own actions.
And it was probably for the better anyway; it was clear that a lot of friction existed between Dementia and Maya. Arkady had been about to tell Maya just how unbelievably gorgeous she looked in her costume/outfit -did it matter? It was stunning either way!- when Dementia and her date came back. So, this was the enigmatic Seaheart... Arkady had heard about him, but didn't want to form any opinions of the younger man until he had met him himself. Arkady almost didn't hear what he was saying anyway; the feeling of Maya's fingers slipping through his was enough to make him want to block out the rest of the world and just have her. Sensing Maya's tension return, Arkady gave her hand a brief reassuring squeeze. But then she let go anyway... Well, hopefully she got the message. As if the situation wasn't awkward enough, Seaheart began running his mouth again and practically threw Dementia at him. Arkady's fingers instinctively closed around Dementia's hand -since that was what he had originally wanted- but then he just... kinda froze.
"I'm not sure how comfortable you are with a guy offering you his girlfriend after she clearly acted as though she didn't have onebut can we please just re-locate to another part of the ball....Away from the two of them, and talk amongst eachother?" Maya said, her annoyance and distaste clear.
His sapphire gaze full of confusion and fluttering between Dementia and Maya, all Arkady could get out of his mouth was, "Uhh... wha...?" And truly, Dementia's date was here and all, he felt the most chivalrous thing to do would be to take Maya up on her suggestion. Especially after she had come so close and whispered in his ear... Oh my! Her spicy scent filled his keen senses and her breath tickled his neck sending thrills down his spine. Clearing his throat, Arkady decided to take charge of the situation; "Umm, actually, I think it would be best if we all just... stuck to ourselves, you know? Not meaning any disrespect, but I would like some alone time with my date." Are you for real, Arkasha? You just told Dementia you didn't have a date, and what about Maya's opinion? Just because she grabbed her hand doesn't mean anything! Stop thinking with your hormones! He ignored the niggling voice in his head; it was time to follow his heart for once. Smiling apologetically at Dementia, he placed her hand back in Seaheart's. He then delicately took Maya's and bowed in a gentlemanly manner, swept off his hat and said, "May I have this dance, milady?"
Someone was gonna kill him tonight. Arkady was almost sure of it.

Maya listened to arkady as he spoke to Dementia, her mind still lingering on the squeeze he'd gave her hand. Wait, who was his date? He has a date?!? What? Oh my goodness, I did all of this for nothing?. Maya then gazed back at Arkady as he asked her for this dance...A wide smile graced her features, as she realized that he reffered to her as his date! Maya could've jumped to the ceiling as Arkady asked her for this dance.Be cool, and stay calm! Don't seem too anxious, and don't seem like you are uninterested, which clearly you're not...Just say yes!! She was so charmed by his incredible politeness. She hadnt met a guy such as this gentleman here, but then again, all the guys she had met were teenagers, and were still in a juvinille point and time of thier lives. Maya nodded, her eyes gracing Arkady's lovely features. "Why yes, yes you may," Maya said in a delighted tone. Right now, Maya didn't care about miss little Dementia, and her wicked ways, or Seaheart. As far as the little competition that Maya had made, she had won. Hopefully, she'd won for good, and there wasn't to be a round two, three, four, or five. Maybe I ought to start finding people's journals more often. Maya chuckled silently to herself at this thought.

Dementia's breath caught in her throat as Seaheart intertwined her finger's in Arkady's; the shock she felt was almost electric as he closed his hands on hers. She was practically shaking with fear, wanting to rip herself away. Feeling his touch, his hands, it burned unbearably. She practically ripped her hand away from him as he tried to put it back into Seaheart's, clutching it with all her might. Her knuckles popped as they dislocated between her grasp. She felt like she was about to vomit. Swaying slightly, she grabbed Seaheart's arm and pushed herself into him as though she was embracing him, but it was merely for support. Still, his body felt comforting against the searing mental pain that had become physically real.
"What the hell do you think you're doing, Seaheart?!" she hissed into his ear quietly, wrapping her arms around his neck. She caught her breath, calmed herself, and was able to let go to see Arkady ask for Maya's hand. Good. Not just good, that was damn good. She needed a reason to get away from him. Too bad it was that Maya girl. She couldn't resist one more comment.
"Funny thing, Maya. You talk about how he shouldn't hang out with me because I acted like I didn't have a date, when I in fact told Arkady that I did. It seems to me like you're the one who's abandoned your poor little rabbit. Caynce, was it? Yes, I think that's his name. The one standing over there practically shaking out of his boots, staring? Poor thing." Dementia glanced over at him with a face full of put-on pity. "Of course, I'm sure he won't mind. He doesn't have the backbone to object to someone taking over his date. By the way, Arkady, if you wanted to get away, you could have just asked. In fact, I truly don't know what made me come over here," she chuckled slightly at the truth. "You didn't have to pretend to like this one to leave politely. But don't worry. I won't put you through such horror again."
Dementia felt immensely better. This was what she deserved--there was no way that she would be able to live with herself if he still looked at her like he did earlier. It wasn't what Maya deserved, but she would be taken care of later. She told herself she would get back at Maya after the incident at the lake, but she just didn't know if she could force herself to play Arkady like that, because it was if she was toying with her feelings as well. Maybe later, when she got angrier for her undeserved victory. Until then.
She might as well dance with Seaheart, if anything. He said he knew how to waltz, didn't he? Well now, there was a subtle competition. Dementia was quite light on her feet. She stood back from Seaheart, placing her hand daintily in his, and waited for him to follow up. He obviously would know what to do.

As Kamon and oshaya swayed back and forth, Oshaya pulled Kamon closer, resting her head on his shoulder. It was nice to finally dance with someone who shared the same feelings as she did. Right now, popularity could wait, Oshaya was havin fun as is.
Maya half-listened to Dementia's comments. The fool was really making herself look pathetic. No, not pathetic, jealeous was the word. After the girl finished trying to insult or whatever she had tried to do, Maya, she simply glanced over at Dementia, "Who Caynce, yes, he is a shy one, but no, he's not my date, silly!" Maya's tone lacked sarcasm or venom, simply friendlyness, as she wasn't about to let Dementia get the best of her, and spoil her night. "He's my friend, something you probably wouldn't no about," Maya smiled, " But it's okay, you're not the only hateful and friendless person in the world, I'm sure they have support groups for people like you." With that said, Maya continued to flash a kind smile at Dementia.

Kamon's logical side of his brain was thinking. I wonder why she likes me...Should I ask? No, that would be odd. What would I say if she asked me? There's a limit towards what I could say. 'You're good looking' and 'I just started to like you, for no apparent reason' would be all. That wouldn't satisfy my curiosity, I'd have to ask more questions, and I don't think she'd like that. But I'm so curious! Kamon rested his head on Oshaya's. He felt more comfortable that way, and it felt better. Kamon's emotional side could barely think. It was overwhelmed. I can't believe...What do...I think...but...I should...I...this is just too awesome...I...buh... Kamon smiled. He put his hands into more of a hug than just resting his hands on her hips.
"Oshaya..." he said after a moment. "I can't describe what's going on. Words fail to describe what I'm feeling." He breathed in and out deeply. "You are...see, I'm trying now, and it's not working. I cannot say any one word with real emotion in it, it is a mere attempt to describe you. Amazing. In every way I can imagine. I just..." he trailed off. He closed his eyes. "You're so undescribable."

Seaheart watched with uninterest of the feud between Maya and Dementia, how Maya made it so Dementia never even got a chance at Arkady, and how Arkady found a date. It truly didn't interest ihm at all. He was pretty sure that once Dementia danced with him, all those feelings would be toned down. Well, now she had practically been drained of all her power just by his mere touch. Something snapped in him at this, by he remained his calm posture, not giving anything away.
At the snap though, he felt something emerge. He made a low moan. Chaos. He had restrained him for day, weeks, perhaps a couple of months but with this, he had resrufaced. He probaly couldn't take over Seaheart's mind or voice, but he would probaly bug him in his head. Chaos was....well...sure, don't toy with him or you might end up worse than Seaheart's parents, sure. But he still bugged Seaheart like some annoying friend or teasing father.
He'd deal with it later. When she hissed at him he merely replied "Trying to make sure you have a good time, or get out your urges before you fling yourself at him and do to him what you did to me in our little private time. Understand?" She then bickered with Maya a little more, seeming to have lose this battle, then had asked for a dance in her own way. "Finally, I get to dance with the lady of the night." He said with a smile as he started to waltz along with the music. He didn't know how to dance any other way. He closed his eyes, now dancing softer, just spinning around slowly with her, head on her shoulders. "You look beautiful tonight my dear."

Dementia chuckled at Seaheart's allusion to the time they spent together in her room the other night. "Remember, darling, how I can barely even touch him. We talked about this. He is a symbol for what I have lost, nothing more. I want the the man, not the symbol. But the man is dead, and you've replaced him tenfold."
She smiled softly as he swept her off her feet, dancing easily to the beat of the music. He held her closely, one arm around her waist and the other lightly holding on to her hand. She squeezed his shoulder with the hand that lightly rested on it, leaning her head against his and letting herself succumb to his strong lead. Her trained feet moved with his motions, complied with wherever his hands wanted her to go, so she closed her eyes and let herself fall into the blissful feeling of a wonderful touch, wonderful dance, wonderful emotion.
She felt an sense of elation as he commented softly on the way she looked, whispering the words into her ear. Goosebumps ran up her neck not with fear, but with the pleasure of something long anticipated. "It was all for you, dearest," she murmured happily, following up her words with a kiss on his extended neck. "Besides, you're not so bad yourself."
