Powers: Rafe is literally the sand man, he can control sand and actually become it at will. If Rafe concentrates he is able to make rocks into sand.
Weakness: Girls. Rafe is a boy completely obsessed with girls and most of all their bodies. He has an incredible fear of dogs and well generally all canines. Booze, Rafe is completely Dependant on alcohol.
Power related issues: When using his abilities Rafe uses so much energy that he must eat a huge amount of food afterwords. Also when in sand form Rafe can become damaged if he doesn't turn back soon enough, the injuries range from minor scratches to loss of ligaments.
Personality: Rafe is for the most part a kind and fun guy, but he has a major problem with the word 'no' he see anything he wants as a possession, even people. Rafe is a very proud person and would rather kill than have damaged pride...
History: Rafe was originally born in in the U.A.E but when he was two his parents discovered his horrifying 'gift' when a stranger attempted to mug his mother. The mugger was torn apart by sand as young Rafe giggled as his new found ability. To avoid any further incident the Lyons moved back to their home town, Berlin.
For five years Rafe went on living like a normal boy, but one day at school a foolish foreigner tried to bully Rafe out of his lunch money, as the boy went to grab Rafe by the shirt Rafe became sand and tore the bully up. The boy was hospitalized for nearly two years. In despair Rafe's parents moved once more, this time to Russia.
Yet again Rafe was normal for a few years but again he couldn't help but to use his powers. While the Young Rafe was seeking a few bottles of vodka from a store with a few friends Rafe was caught by the police. This time Rafe was much kinder and only used his powers to escape the car the police drove, but of course his parents heard. Instead of moving Rafe's parents threw him on the streets, claiming that he was a curse.
For three years Rafe lived on the streets, using his powers to steal from people and stores. On his last theft Rafe used sand to steal a man's wallet, but he got caught. The man promised not to press charges but Rafe had to go to a town for 'special' people. So Rafe left Russia with a new wallet and directions to a place called Cassis
