Her feet flew, as she turned and whirled, her raven coloured hair swirling, her fingers and arms worked their magic, as she swirled in rythem to the music that she could hear. Blessed few could hear the nymphs music, and she, having grown up amongst them, was one of them.
She had bells on her feet, capable of moving one ankle so carefully that she could jingle a single bell at a time. She bent to the ground, coming up again, flipping, dancing, being herself. |

Jason walked through the woods whistling. His head was down and he was debating on what animal would be most fun in the woods. His head jerked to the side as he stopped whistling. He heard something.. He began to walk slower, wondering what that could be in the middle of the woods.."Bells?" He whispered to himself as he turned around and saw a girl dancing. He leaned against a tree and watched her. She moved as if the earth held no gravity and there was nothing to weigh her down as she jumped, turned, and twisted. She had a beat in her head. Something that Jason of all people could appreciate. When he heard the distant jingle of bells he had turned down his cd player to hear it. Now Def Leppard played softly through the headset tucked in the top of his Def Leppard shirt. He was, if anything, a creature of habit..He had the shirt and the cd..so he wore the shirt and listened to the cd. He quietly put his hand in his pants pocket and shut off his cd player. Now the only music was her bells and the light whisper of her feet when they hit the ground. He payed close attention to the way she danced and tried to figure out the rythm. He began to whistle again. But this time it was to match the beat of the dance and jingle of bells..and to get her attention.

Aridia froze, her shoulders tensed, she slowly turned on her heel, her eyes wild and open. She took a breath and looked up at the guy. Her eyes scanned him, as she swallowed hard. He was human, this was bad. She couldn't interact with humans, it was virtually impossible for her. She'd lived with the Forest Nymphs her whole life.
You saw me dancing. It wasn't a question, but a statement. She looked down, unable to hold eye contact with the man. Her dancing was sacred, no one was supposed to know that she kept contact with the old Ones. If they did, she'd be refused. So why couldn't she make him promise not to tell. Simple, she was more nymph then human, though she'd been born human. And nymphs didn't like being around humans, some even went out of their way to ensure that the never came in contact with them. |

Jason leaned his head to the side, confused at her reaction. "Yes..I saw you dancing..I probably would have kept walking if you didnt have the bells.." He stated pointing to her ankles. "You are an excellent dancer..Why do you come out here to dance?" He said turning his head to look around the forest, before looking at her again. "You look embarrassed..or suprised..I am going to vote for suprised..no one should be embarrassed when they dance like you." He pushed against the tree and stood up straight. "Now..why do you look like you want me to go away? I just got here.." He grinned but his grin faltered when she looked down. "I'll leave.." He said pointing his thumb behind him. "I dont mean you harm..I promise." He said holding his arms up in a helpless gesture. "Okay.." He turned around and went to walk away, wondering if she would try to stop him...or let him leave?

No! I-uh, err. She said, puffing out a breath of air, causing some of her hair to fly up and drift back down to rest against her pale features. She bent down and unbuckled the bells on each ankle, why in deed did she come out here? She closed her eyes, she could never tell. She couldn't tell anyone what she really was.
She whistled, a light sound. Her cat came running, a bit worried for her Mistress had not summoned her in a while. What is it, Lady? Are you having trouble with the humans again? [/b] Was the question. Aridia laghed as she knelt on the ground and cuddled her kitten close to her.[/color][/center] |

Jason heard her whistle. A cat came running up to her and she began to cuddle with it. "Ahh...so you like cats?" He walked up only a step and turned into a big fluffy gray and white cat. He used his powers to communicate with the girl much like her cat did. You could hear him talk, but his mouth did not move. " Indeed you are of the beautiful sort..As well as your mistress.." He lowered the front half of his body and extended his front legs in a bow. If he could not get through to her..maybe he could at least get her cat to like him. " My name is Jason.." He introduced himself as he trotted up to the pair stopping a distance halfway between her and where he was standing. His tail high in the air, twitched in anticipation. "May I be so bold as to ask of your names?"

Eve blocked the message from getting to her Lady, knowing it would freak her out to know that someone could talk to her through her mind. I am Eve. This is Aridia. She has lived with the nymphs her whole life. It's new to her, being with humans. Would you mind drawing her out? Eve asked, purring as if everything was fine, and she wasn't secretly communicating with a guy. |

Jason listened intently to the cat. "Eve...Aridia.. Such wonderful names.. I would try..but how am to draw someone out..when they refuse to even look me in the eyes?" He sat down and mimicked her actions and began to purr. He looked up slowly when he realized that Aridia had not answered him. Though he was talking to Eve..he was talking also for her benefit. His eyes locked on Eve. " Are you the reason that she did not answer?" He asked her curiously. He stood up and walked to her slowly, testing how far she would let him approach before settling back down. His tail swished from side to side as he looked between the two. "What are you to her exactly? I can tell you are no ordinary house cat.. He muttered to Eve while he watched Aridia. "Even though you say that she has not been around humans..she seems abnormally frightened of me." He studied the girl through slitted eyes. He laid down and lazily looked at Eve and continued to purr, trying to reassure Aridia like Eve was, that everything was going fine.

Aridia slanted an annoyed look at Eve, knowing full well that something was going on that she was keeping from her. You can talk to me, Eve thinks I'll freak if I hear someone without their lips moving. She told the man, turning her head to look at him. Eve had finally decided to stop blocking, and relayed everything that had passed before. He wants me to look at him, then I will. She thought, lifting her chin, though inside she was shaking.
I am not a house cat. And she has been mistreated by humans, specifically males in her past. She needs to overcome that. Help her. Eve said, a bit abashed that Aridia had figured out her game so quickly, she merely wished to help her Lady. |

Jason watched Aridia. " Brave...very brave..I can admire that. I can tell you are frightened. But with me..there is no reason to be afraid." He backed up a step and turned back into himself. "I wish you no harm." He bowed to her, taking his eyes off of her. Something you did not do if you thought the person was a threat. He leaned up and began to sit down. He crossed his legs and looked up at her. "Now how can I be scary when you can step on me huh?" He asked with a crooked grin. He turned back to Eve. "Who would mistreat her? She seems like a pretty, talented girl. I know people that would praise her for the ability to dance like she does. Pay her even." He frowned slightly and shook his head. "I just dont get it. I could never bring myself to hurt a girl." He gestured to the ground in front of him. "Would you like to sit with me Aridia? Just to talk? I have my cd player if you want to listen to music." He said pulling out his cd player and unhooking the headsets from his shirt. He turned the player on and held out a headphone for her. "Here..its Def Leppard, I love this group."

She laughed softly, the faeries jumping up, delighted to hear that sound. So Eve had told on her past, eh? Ah well, she was at peace with it...Mostly...Sort of...Not really. She sighed, would she ever get over her lost child? Sure. I don't need that music, the nymphs, dryads, and faeries provide me with the natural music. She said, shaking her head softly at the CD player.
Eve sighed, some people never got over things. She was...well how do I say it...Raped. Not many are as nice as the men here. [/b] She told the man, getting up as Aridia stood to go and sit beside him. She walked to the man and, purring, climbed into his lap.[/color][/center] |

Jason lowered his head, afraid to let her see the anger that overcame him. He could not believe that someone would be so cruel. He had to take a deep breath and turned his head from her for a moment as he shut off his cd player. He shook his head to clear his thoughts. I cant let her think I am angry at her.. He looked back up and smiled brightly at her. "So where did you learn to dance like that?" He asked her cheerifully as he went to pet Eve, who had come to sit in his lap. He already liked the cat, and he wanted to get to know Aridia. She seemed like a nice girl, and he wanted to bring out the more playful interactive side of her that seemed to show itself only when she was near the cat. Or dancing.

She could sense his anger, and also knew he wouldn't want her to know of it, so she pushed it aside and focused on what he said. Eve seemed to approve of him, so she couldn't see how he would be capable of harming her. From the tree nymphs. Would you like to learn a step or two? She challanged, arching an eyebrow, a slow, smug smile creeping onto her lovely features. |

Jason placed a hand on his chest. "Me? Dance?" He chuckled. "I cant see me jumping around like you were. Now you make it look good..me...I dont think so.." He smiled at her. "The nymphs huh? So...you were raised by them..they sing to you..and they teach you how to dance?" He slowly picked Eve up and placed her back on the ground. "Sorry my dear.." He stood up. and put his cd player back in his pocket, and hooked his headphones back on the top of his shirt. He held a hand out to Aridia. " If you are willing to teach a clumsy fool how to dance..beware of your toes.." He grinned as he waited to see if she would accept his offer of a dance.

Aridia laughed and tugged on his hand, leading him into the circle of trees. She led him in a simple two step, moving her legs as if she floated on air. She held onto his hands at all times, making sure that he wouldn't fall. For some, a nymphs dance could be dificult and she was spread a bit thin on her healing, she didn't want to hurt someone. |
