That way! Half her brain shouted. No no no. This way! The other half shouted. While the two halves bickered, they also wondered which was the correct way. Alyx covered her eyes and spun around, one arm outstretched and pointing a finger. She spun quickly then stopped, uncovering her eyes. "That way it is!" She cried, skipping off in the direction she faced.

And she came right into the face of Byron. He took an uneasy step back. Lost? He asked with a smug smirk on his fine features. Stupid little girl, why did she come into the forest if she didn't know the way. Probably thought it was cool. Stupid little gits that wanted to be cool.

"No," Alyx said timidly. "I just lost my way. A little." Her cheeks pinkened slightly as she stared at tree behind him. She stuck her hands in the pockets of her rolled up jeans. "Whatcha doin' here?" She asked, actually looking right at his face, not a tree near his face.

I'm connecting with the Mother Ship. He said, rolling his eyes, leaning back against the tree. He crossed his arms over his chest, a deep, exaggerated sigh ripping out of his chest.

"Fine then, don't tell me." Alyx stuck her tongue out. She turned to leave, taking a step. Then she spun back around. "Okay, fine." She admitted. "I'm lost. Help me?" Alyx tried looking casual as possible.

All right, follow me. He said, getting up and turning around, he started walking, knowing that she'd follow. H.ell if she didn't then he would keep walking, if she wanted to stay in the forest, she was more then welcome to it.

She quickly followed behind, her icky tennis shoes crushing dried leaves. "So, uh, why're you here?" She asked again. "For real."

I'm here because I needed to connect with nature. He told her, not turning around to look at her. They would be at a clearing soon, they could 'chat' then.

"Oh," she said quietly, looking at the ground. Silence. "Why?" She asked, her head jerking up.

Because I did. What's with the questions? He asked, as they walked into a clearing, finally turning around to face her, his dark eyes staring at her, raking her body clean.

"I-I'm just curious," she stuttered, surprised by his abrupt turn around. Her eyes quickly looked to her feet, noticing a beautiful flower. She bent down and felt the blushing petals. A small smile danced across her face.

D.amn, with the stupid making him feel bad. He raked a hand through his long hair. Sorry. I'm tense. He said, annoyance on his fine features.

"It's okay," Alyx assured him, still examining the blossom. She loved the shade of pink. "It's so pretty," she murmured.

Typical girl... He muttered, rolling his gorgeos brown eyes. He couldn't believe how many girls he was used to seeing going crazy over one colour...Pink. Really though, what was SO special about it? Did it have some type of girl attraction in it? He didn't know, h.ell he hadn't had time to pick out a favorite colour when he was a kid, so he didn't know what normal kids went throgh to get it.

Alyx looked up at him, only just hearing his comment. "I am not a typical girl." She protested, standing up at her full, short height.
