Laodice walked onto the sand of the lake once more, making his final attempt to find the one he was being led to. He looked around, not seeing anyone. He took the small, ornate object out of his pocket and looked at it. He read the inscription inside: "I won't forget you." He felt a tugging at his heart as if he was still being pulled, his mission unfinished. But he was tired of being led places. He had changed his mind on destiny and wanted to be free to roam. He put the object back in his pocket. Perhaps he would find her someday by accident. He turned and looked back in the direction of the school. Was he really giving up?

Michella walked slowly as she came into view of the water, her head lifting up and a slight smile appeared on her face. I feel as if I belong here for some reason. This place feels more like a home to me, but it's strange. It's just the lake? She reasoned with herself as she passed the edge of the covered woods and she folded her hands up in front of her. Without another step, she allowed her powers to be used, teleporting to the edge of the water and instantly sitting down. She let her dark purple hair cascade over her form as her head was now on her raised knee's. She sighed letting her body's movement show the action. She raised her head up a little just enough for her eye's to show and they looked at the water helplessly.

Laodice, in his undecisiveness, glanced back to the water. He noticed something that wasn't there before. A girl with long purple hair, one that he had seen before. He almost dismissed her as just another person, but then something hit him. He turned and looked at her. The sun in the distance shone on the front of her face, making her figure just a dark silhouette. Could it be? He again heard a voice echo in his memory: "Find her." He stared at Michella for a second, the sun lighting up her violet hair, making it look as if it radiated its own light. He flet something pulling him toward her.
He walked forward and stood just behind her. He reached out to tap her on the shoulder, then stopped. He looked at her for just a moment, hoping that she didn't notice he was there. The last thing he needed was to have a girl think he was staring at her. Was he? Her name came back to his mind. "Hey, Michella," he said, "how's it going?" He felt an unexplainable happiness as he spoke to her. A feeling too strong to be his own.

She looked at the water, the sun gleaming over it's surface letting it sparkle. She let her eye's wonder around the water as she cause herself catching herself in a daze. I wonder when the next time I'll see the bottom again. I bet it's awsome down there now. It's so warm out... Shaking her head out of her daze, she looked back fast at the sound of another voice. Her hair seemed to float in a circle around her head at the speed she looked back at the sound. "Hi... Lao..dice? Right?" She half asked him as she looked back to the water again, a small smile appearing on her face. "you startled me! It's going pretty slow here. Kinda boring right now!" She said and looked back at him, letting the sight recall the last time she had seen him at the water. "What are you up too?" She paused for a moment and continued. "Seems like I always find myself down here at the water."

Laodice smiled. "Yeah, that's right," he said, "I'm just... well... looking." He paused for a moment, thinking of what to do next. He stepped next to her and looked over. Suddenly, his vision went black and he was, again, standing on an endless black plain, looking at a dark figure standing in front of him. Laodice stared for a moment and said nothing. The figure looked back at him and ran his fingers through his spiked hair. "Thank you," the figure said, then pointed to Laodice's pocket. The figure then turned away and the strange vision disappeared, Laodice's mind returning to the real world. He looked at Michella and was sure this was the one he was looking for.
Laodice reached into his pocket and took a small figure from his pocket, a glass ball set on a gold base with two figures of onyx stone holding both hands inside. He held it up to the light for the message inside to shine brightly. "He wanted me to give this to you," he said to Michella, "I hope you know what it means." He held it in front of her to where she could see the message engraved on the inside: "I won't forget you." He held it so she would take it from him. He felt a sense of accomplishment as he finally found what he had been looking for. This was the end of the dark road. Perhaps he could now see in a new light.

Michella stood up to him and kept her pose with her arms folded in front of her. Her eye's couldn't focus on him completely and they wandered, until he began to speak to her. She tilted her head to the side when he reached into his pocket and took out a glass ball with something black in the middle. She leaned in to laodice slightly to get a better look and then saw the black peices and what it made. Two figures holding hands? He wanted you to give this to me? Who Jason?... or Terren. Wait, he don't know Terren. How could he? She looked straight up at him momentarily, taking her gaze into his eye's then something caught her eye's. The message inside of it read, I won't forget you.. She raised her hand slightly and took the ball from him and turned away from him, letting one hand go to her mouth. "Who gave this to you?" SHe asked. If he knew Terren, then this might be something, but if he didn't. She had no idea what this thing could mean. MAybe it was a mean trick he was playing on her.

Laodice shook his head when she asked who had given the item to him. "I don't really know who he is," he said, "He never told me. And we never met. Well, not really. I just know he has spiky black hair. I'm sorry." He stood back and watched her for a moment. She seemed to be as confused as he was. Perhaps none of his questions would be answered. He sighed, losing his sense of achievment.
Suddenly, a gateway opened on the opposite side of Michella but, instead of being black like it usually was, it was white. Laodice looked at it for a moment, puzzled. A moment later, he saw a familiar silhouette appear, motioning for them to enter. Laodice's eyes widened. "Come on!" he said to Michella, taking her hand and pulling her into the gateway.
It was an odd sensation when they got in. It felt like he was sleeping and dreaming. The room was an endless plain of white. There was no distinguishing between the floor, walls, and ceiling. That was, if there were any. Besides that, Laodice could see people from his past everywhere, talking to each other, paying him and Michella no attention. He also saw many he had never met before. But the thing that got his attention the most was the boy in front of them, who was looking directly at them. He had spiky black hair and a yellow vest.

She turned around to face him to see his expressions about her questions. She covered the ball with her hands trying to keep the memories inside of it and she kept it close to her body. It seems like it was from Terren. Black spiky hair. TERREN! It just has to be. It just has to. She looked at him with pleading eye's. "PLease tell me more, if you know anything! Did he say anything, di...did he say anything about me?" She seemed to be in a rush with her words, as she uncupped the ball again to look at it. He was able to manipulate certain objects, turning them into water ever. His powers had increased, she could tell, but whether or not she'd ever see him again. That was something she didn't know.
Without another thought, she saw Laodice look behind her, which alerted her and she turned around seeing something unusual and squinted her eye's momentarily, until Laodice pulled her into the gateway. She covered her eye's until she reached inside enough and felt him stop pulling her. She opened her eye's and saw a bunch of people, yet she seemed to be floating. She couldn't feel anything physical keeping her up and she questioned herself and this world. She looked around getting a weird sensation about where she was and noticed herself in a different outfit. Her tan Jacket was on her and it seemed to be a winter apparrel. She looked beside her at Laodice. "What is this place?" She asked but caught herself offgaurd looking in front of her at the one person that she had first fallen for. It was Terren... She had the biggest smile appear on her face as if she'd not seen him in years, only it had been a month or two. She quickly glanced to Laodice and then back at Terren, and she ran full speed embracing him in a hug. "I can't beleive this, it can't be real. Are you real Terren? Are you?" Her voice quivered at him.

Laodice watched as Michella embraced Terren. He smiled, knowing that he had finally achieved what he was meant to. He put his hands on his hips and watched them together. He looked around at his environment and at all the figures around him. There were a lot of people there, even ones who had died and one looked particularly odd. He suddenly recalled that it was his imaginary friend as a small child. This seemed to be another dimension. A place where things that didn't exist were kept. Memories, dreams, fantasies... It was a land of what isn't. Alowi, he thought to himself, I'll call it Alowi. He looked back at Michella and Terren, eager to meet the boy who had taken such a powerful hold over his future. "Do I finally get to know who you are?" he asked Terren. He was ready to have all of his questions answered.

Terren gasped as Michella grabbed him. "Yes, of course I'm real," he said, "Do I look fake to you?" He paused for a second, then continued, "Well, if you want to make sure it's me, ask me something that only I would know." He then looked over at Laodice. "Hello," he said, "I never got your name either, but I appreciate your help. I'm Terren Vince."[/b]
Michella pulled away from the hug and looked at him. He was physically there in a world that physically didn't exsist. She didn't dare question the possibility of this being all a dream, because in her dreams is where she dreams of seeing Terren again. Now it was finally happening. "Terren, I know it's you. I can tell by the way you talk, and your vest. I love that vest." She told him admiring his visibility to her and then turned her attention to Laodice at that moment. How could this world be, maybe there was something about LAodice that she didn't know? "Laodice... This is Terren... as he said. He is my absolute.... well, my very best friend. I knew him when he came to the school the first time, but soon after..."
"... I had to leave. My sister convinced me to take leave with her to go back home. To live back at home with our parents." He paused a moment and looked at Michella. "and to improve my powers. It has been well worth it, but I've missed you Michella." [/b]

Laodice was confused as Terren mentioned his sister, but didn't feel like diving too far into the facts. And best friends? This seemed like a lot of trouble to go through just for a best friend. Maybe Terren felt stronger about her than she did about him? Laodice didn't know and he wasn't going to bring that up either. "Hello Terren. I'm Laodice Kane," Laodice said, "I have a lot of questions, but I suppose they can wait for another time. I'm sure Michella is the one you really want to see." He paused and looked around. "I do have one question I'd like to know the answer to, though," he said, "How did all of this happen? You contacting me, I mean. Through the dreams?"

Terren sighed at Laodice's question. "I'm not exactly sure," Terren said, "but it would seem something happened that caused us to connect or join minds. I can't really explain it either." He looked at Michella. "I would be happy to answer all of your questions later," he said to Laodice, "but you are right. I did come here to see Michella. Thank you for understanding and for all of the work you did to help me." [/b]
Michella looked at him with curiosity apparent in her eye's. She seemed so happy to be able to see him again, but she questioned his ability to make himself known to her again in a world that apparently didn't exsist but only in her mind, and somehow it seemed that others could see it too. Was all this real? "Terren, what is it that you want. I mean, How is it that your able to come to me... after all this time?" Her eye's scanned his features, desperate to find an answer. She moved her hands slightly to him and touched his hand bringing her fingers to interlock his. "I've missed you so much. It's not the same without you here." SHe turned around to Laodice and gave him a pleasing smile. "Thank you. You've brought him back to me, but how? How did it happen. Terren's powers wasn't anything like this. He could only manipulate objects to make it into something else. It was'nt his powers, but... yours? What is your powers?" She asked him looking from him to Terren back to Laodice.

Laodice looked around, feeling a surge of understanding flowing inside of him. It was something many gifteds experienced; a sort of automattic understanding of your powers and abilities. A power was useless without an understanding of what it was. He turned to Michella and Terren. "So, we were connected," he said to Terren, "and I suppose you could somehow use my abilites? Enhance them?" He looked around the area they were in. "And this place," he said, "is a land of what isn't. A world of dreams and stories..." Laodice paused and thought for a moment. "So Terren," he said, "thee seems to be only one way that we can prove that you're not a fantastic product of this dimension." Laodice turned and pointed to the portal back to the normal dimensions. Through it, he could see the lake, the waves stopped completely, time remaining unmoved. "Reality exists out there," Laodice said, "Do you too?" He turned to Michella. "I'm sorry to raise doubts," he said, "I'm just a bit curious and I don't want you to be decieved." He looked back at Terren. "So, do we go?" ______________________________________________
Terren looked at Michella and smiled. "It's true," he said, "it's not in my power to do this. It's in him." He pointed to Laodice. "He has the power to open gateways to dimensions," he continued, "I'm not sure how many yet, but I helped him to find this one. This is the fifth dimension. A dimension filled with dreams. Again, I can't explain how this happened exactly, but I know that our connection made him a bit more powerful, just enough to discover this place." Terren paused for a moment and looked at Laodice. "Every now and then, I was given the ability to control your power. At one point, I opened this gateway. I don't know how long I've been in here, but I've been waiting for you to show up. It doesn't seem like time exists here, so we might even be communicating fom different times." Terren turned back to Michella. "I'm sorry to take up all of our time with this talk," he said, "so I suppose we'll do something else. And I would love to prove that I really exist." He pointed to the gateway back to the normal dimensions. "Let's go."

A white tiger lazily plodded down the edge of the lake. The sand becoming laden with massive pawprints. The tiger shifted its gaze to the left..then to the right. It saw no one. It leaned back on its haunches and jumped onto a sun-warmed rock. He became bored and turned back into himself. Jason sat cross-legged on the rock, his AC/DC shirt clinging to his chest. His ever-present headphones were hooked onto his shirt. "You Shook Me All Night Long" was playing loudly. He had always been amazed at the fact that his cd player never stopped playing when he changed. It was like when he changed, his body..clothes and all..was put in storage. Still able to function, yet dormant. He took the headphones off of his shirt and fixed them into his ears. He leaned forward and placed one hand on his knee. He smiled at the thought of this was how he first met Missy. A finger touched his lips and a secret smile passed his face. He almost laughed because the only reason he was here, was because he hoped to find her. But it seemed she was no where in sight..

Michella listened intently to the two as she tried to understand how all this came to be. It seemed that Laodices powers were enhanced enough to create such a demention that would allow her to reunit with a past loved one. One that had left so long ago, and someone she never thought would ever be back. It was happening though. He was there with her at the moment. With the thought of Terren actually being able to come back to the real world and be with her was all that she could want, but was it just because of how much she missed him and what about Jason. She now had let Terren's memory be on the back burner as Jason took the current front one? First Terren, now it's jason... What's going to happen if Jason finds out If Terren would be back? I really like jason, but Terren? Michella's eye's focused on Terren and then the portal, seeing that it would take them back. "I want to go..."
