"Well, well, well. Look who's here. Haven't seen you for a while, Ven." The trace of disgusted disdain in her voice was barely less than blatantly obvious as she approached the younger man, who seemed to be losing an argument. Well, boo hoo. The arrogant rat deserved to be knocked down his ladder a few rungs. She was almost surprised at the intense loathing that his face inspired, though she knew from what cause it welled up. She didn't want to get involved in any of this shit, but needless to say, she was... compelled, not just by her own interests. And it seemed like she just couldn't be left in peace.
Her eyes flickered to the sleeping form up in the tree, blinked twice in an action of a slight, bored surprise, and then moved back to Ven's face. No matter how pleasing his claws were or how good his cause, she still hated his core for existing, for doing something that would most likely separate her from Arkady when she needed him the most. What a bastard. But she came here with a purpose that must be fulfilled.
"It's Dementia. Remember me?" she asked, reverting back to that damned name. She leaned against the tree he sat under, crossing her arms in front of her chest, giving some modesty to the low-cut top she wore. "Anyways, ah, Venny-boy, I thought that you would be the best person to talk to for what I need to know," she told him, staring off into the distance. "I've got a bit of a... question, I guess you could say. Perhaps it would be followed by a proposition, if I like what you tell me, yes?" She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, a smile of superiority on her lips. "Seaheart told me you were planning something. Oh, you won't believe the words he used. He said you were planning a war. Ha!" She let out a peal of cold laughter at his stupidity that was chilling in the perverse joy it contained. "The idiot even thought that I would help him in his quote, army against you, after he used me. But boy, was he wrong! I'm going to do everything but help him after what he did to me." She moved from the side of the tree so that she was standing in front of Ven. "So now I need to know -- what exactly are you planning? Like I said earlier, if I like what you say, I might even be of some... service to you."

"Now now missy allow to make something very clear to you." Ven said half sarcastically laying down and leaning against the tree folding only leg of the other.
"First off I expect to treat me wiith respect if you want in on whatever I intend to do. Secondly I also Want to know why you seem so thuroughly angry at me,. However if you want to know what I'm planning it's actually quite simple. I intend to accomplish two spectacular things. One weed out all of the weak and insignificant gifteds perfect the species. then I intend to bring rise to a new species. My species. The viridis. believe me I have the highest doubts that the full plans would be of any use to you, just think of it this way, I'm gifteds as a whole a better thing."

"Respect is reserved for people who deserve it, Ven. I think I'll decide if and when you deserve it. Bu withholding information from me that could help your cause really isn't going to make me like you any more." She rolled her eyes as he made himself comfortable and remained standing.
"Now, as to why I am so angry at you..." she chuckled. "Now now, Venny, let's not use such terms. I wouldn't call it anger... perhaps fury, rage, or just plain disdain. I think that more aptly describes it. But I wouldn't bother telling you, mostly because it's a quite complicated story. Let's just say that you and your little plan may cause me to put something on hold that I'd really rather not leave behind. Though it won't affect me in my loyalty whatsoever, if I do decide to join forces, as I can't destroy Seaheart alone, and allying with his enemy sure seems to be the best bet.
"So you want to create a perfect species, huh? Yeah. Join the club. Looks like Hitler will have some company in hell. I wouldn't mind weeding out the insignificant people who don't deserve to live, who only impede the progress of their greaters and drag them down with guilt and clamors for charity. But not only that, you want to create... snake people? Why the hell, may I ask?"

"Trust me i hold no resemblance to any sort of european dictators. I have no intention of killing anyone, just finding which ones i have an intention of keeping. If they die it will most certainly not directly be my fault. As for the creations of more than one of species well..." He stood up and walked toward her, looking her in the eyes.
"Think of it like this. every animal has the desire to keep their species alive, people included. It'd be like asking a woman "why do you want children?" I want to see the future creation of species, allow me to carry on. I have found a way to do that. Not to meention the vast amount of power I would acquire by being the king of said species."

"Ah. King of the Snake People. So that's what you really want. Well, by all means, go ahead. From what Seaheart told me your people will destroy themselves anyway. I don't see how that would conflict with my interests." She stepped back from Ven after he approached her, raising an eyebrow, keeping her steely blue eyes in line with the stare of his.
"Two more questions. One, how are you going to create your perfect species, then turn them into snake people? And two, what are you trying to accomplish with all this? I see the outcome, but only part of the motive. Sure, survival of your species, whatever. But I know there's more to the story."

"Believe me how I create my species is none of your concern I just need to find enough willing people, which I can safely garuntee i will. However just imagine then power that comes with ruling over a species? Essentially if this works out I not only becom e a king but solve quite a few problems. No more meaningless attacks on normals by gifted, because the strongest couldn't do anything, being beneath me, the same for gifted on gifted, and no more normals attacking Gifteds because they'red be no reason." He took a step back.
"Really it gets my species going, and makes me incredibly powerfull, everybody wins."

Dementia's one brow raised even higher as Ven explained to her what he was doing. She couldn't believe she had to ally herself with this twit. But it was the only way she could accomplish her goal, and the end justifies the means, doesn't it? Let's hope so.
"So, let me get this straight. You think that people will willingly turn into this tortured snake-like human thing that you're trying to create, so that you can be their king. Right," she remarked sarcastically. "But wait, there's more!" She sounded like someone desperately advertising a dying product for a place going out-of-business. As she spoke next, she could hardly keep from bursting out laughing between words.
"You think... that by becoming this dictator of your species... and subordinating everyone... you can achieve peace." She couldn't keep the laugh from bursting out at the end of her sentence. "No more fighting? Ha! Are you serious? Oh, and everybody wins because you're King, and you're dominating them, and your species gets going? Oh, god! That's hilarious!" Tears of mirth were streaming out of her eyes. She wiped them away as a stitch in her side formed from the continual laughter.
"I don't know who the hell you're trying to protect and from what, but there's no way your plan would work. I mean, your philosophy is laughable, your expectations are idealistic at best, and this twisted utopia you're trying to create is just that: an impossible utopia born from your perverse little instinct-ridden mind that would destroy itself before it was created." She raised her hand in front of her face in a gesture so that he wouldn't speak yet -- she wasn't finished.
"Okay, okay." The laughter was dying down in her voice. "I could say this is your lucky day, because if the circumstances weren't different I would be trying to thwart your plans as much as I could. And even though I don't agree with what you're doing -- don't interrupt me now! -- I am quite willing to join your side. I'll be your most loyal candidate, in fact, I can assure you. And let me tell you why: Because Seaheart needs to be destroyed, and siding with you is my best bet to make sure I can do so. If your side was gone, and I had no backup, then what would I do? See? There's no real conflict of interests here. Since, as I said earlier, what you're doing is impossible to attain, there's no harm in me using this cause and building it up to help further my own gains. It's not like it would impede me in the future.
"So. There's where I stand. I'll help you as much as I can in order to kill him. Once he's dead, of course, I can't guarantee my loyalty, but by then you'll have already started to build your crumbling tower. It won't need my help to fall anyways. I get out of your hair, you get your destructive serpentine people who will eventually kill you - since after all, who wants to be dominated - and that is where everybody wins."

"Well miss I do appreciate your help." Ven said smiling happily.
"However next time you decide to address me in the way you have so far, well, don't believe everything you hear." Ven said grinning to himself.
"Now it seems that I know most of your means, yet you know almost nothing of mine, isn't it funny that one well calculated lie can cause a person to dig deeply into a separate humans personality. No next time when you play nice I'll tell you what I'm planning. However until then I do accept your help. I'm sure this will be quite the lovely business endeavor, for the both of us of course. But as of now I do find myself with one major predicament. Do to your previous comments I don't know if your the most trustworthy of all people. that leaves me with this singular solution." he removed a small green fluid pack from his shirt pocket, fitting a needle into one side of it.
"A small injection, nothing major, just a truth serum that activates within a 4 yard radius of myself. That is of course considering that without my backing, and my army, you won't really be able to touch seaheart." He explained raiseing his eyebrow just a tad higher than hers, thhen seating himself beneath the treee he was previously situated at. The small fluid injection was really useless until he had carmela hooked up to the machine he had made for her. This was the injection with which he was going to start up his species.

"Venny boy, darling, no need for such hostilities. You know that I'm not a nice person. But I thought you liked it when people play rough with you," she commented offhandedly, letting her arms drop from her chest.
"However, I understand your reservations. But still, I don't see the gain that I would get for lying to you... You are, after all, my main means for getting at Seaheart. Of course, I do have other options, but those aren't quite as... hmmm... What's the word I'm looking for?" She tapped her chin lightly. "Advantageous, perhaps. But let me guess. You're going to make me take it so that you can see if my aim is true? What a waste of perfectly good chemicals."

"Look miss the fact remains. I'm your best bet at getting to seaheart, afterall as you heard he is building an army of his own, which would make things extrenuosly difficult for you to get to the lad. Now face facts, take thhe little injection and have us accomplishing common goals, or go about it yourself and have your posterior handed to you by an abnoxious airhead. make a descion." he said flipping the injection around between his fingers playfully.

"Well tell me, then. Why the hell should I trust you? I mean, sure, you'd lose a great asset if I wasn't helping you out and gain a formidable enemy, but how do I know that this thing you want to inject into my veins isn't some type of poison or something less... innocuous than a simple truth serum, huh?" Dementia was wary about the liquid in the vial he so easily played with in his fingers. She didn't want the sanctuary of her body to be breached by some kind of unknown force. That vial could contain anything. But then again, what damage could it do that she couldn't flush out of her system? She had complete control over every individual cell in her body down to its DNA. There couldn't be too much harm that he could inflict upon her, but still. There was the sense of the unknown, that she could willingly be falling into a trap.

"Tell this then miss, can afford not to trust me? How many other resources can promise you a full army to assist you?" Ven said still playing with the fluid that if injected could quite possibly change her very DNA if the proper circumstances where met.
"Now then do you find yourself in the position to turn this down and leave, or will you decide to play thing the intelligent way?"

"Fine, Venny-boy. You've caught me between a rock and hard place." She smiled coldly, a steely glint in her eyes. "I just hope you know what I'm capable of." Dementia moved so that she was sitting, cross-legged, in front of Ven, and held out her arm. The cells in her bones shifted so that the structure flattened out just beneath the skin.
"Do it quickly, before I change my mind," she ordered.

"Excellent." ven said leaning into her holding the needle above her arm one of his breifly flashing between her arm and her neck. The needle then plunged from her arm to her jugular vein, which his eye had located and found the correct puncture point.
"Sorry it has to be injected into a major artory or else it doesn't work I apologize for miss leading with the arm, but would you have honestly accepted a needle in the neck?" Ven said raising an eyebrow.
"You may have a few headaches, they'll go away pretty soon, maybe a few instinctual urges, nothing major."

Dementia couldn't draw back fast enough as she saw the glint of the needle coming towards her neck, couldn't form proper defenses to keep the liquid from getting injected into her important vein, where the blood would be recycled soon and pumped throughout her body. Shit.
The pain was nothing. Oh, she was used to pain. Using her powers she always manipulated her body to the fullest, including ripping out of her skin reproductions of her bones that were displaced in her body to use as weapons. It was practically a minor bee sting.
What didn't make sense to her, and what alarmed her the most, was what Ven said last. Her brow furrowed deeply as she glared at him with eyes that held the most intense hatred she had ever felt. "Headaches I can understand, but... instinctual urges? I have a feeling what you just shoved into my neck wasn't a simple truth serum."
